4. “ Hello!!! Welcome to my Portfolio in Educational Technology”
I 'am Charlene Kaye De Claro Morado, “Kaye” for the nickname, I
was born on 3rd day of May, 1996 in Cavite City Medical Hospital a 19 years
of age from Rosario, Cavite. My hobbies are chatting with my friends, eating,
listening music and watching TV. I really love dogs specially puppies and I
really hate rats and any kind of insects. I don’t eat Lapu-Lapu because I have

School. I spend my 4 years at Lemery, Batangas which I'm able
to studied at Banoyo National High School and now I’m a 3rd
year student taking up of Bachelor of Secondary Education
Major in English at Cavite State University- Main Campus. The 3
years of spending my days in Cavite State University I have
learned a lot specially in Educational Technology

7. Technology comes
from the Greek word
‘‘ techne’’ which means
craft or art. It involves
educational media that
serves as a channel for
communication . It is a
profession because it is
made up of collaborative
effort from the teacher and
the students.
8. The field of Educational
Technology to articulate a
systems definition of
Educational Technology
publication presents a glimpse
of the conceptual work that
must be inverted for preserving
and advancing the field. It is
necessary in defining
Educational Technology in
society to distinguish how
engineers and social scientists
varying use of the term
technology creates confusion.
Educational Technology is
defined as the study and ethical
practice of facilitating learning
and improving.
9. The field of Educational
Technology shares many of the
same struggles in defining itself
and substantiating its foundations.
As of other social sciences and
applied social sciences. Part of the
problem is that certain
fundamental concepts required for
theoretically grounding any
acceptable definition of
Educational Technology are
clouded by discourses taking place
outside the field.

13. Educational technology as computer
systems
As computers began to transform business
and industry practices, both trainers and
teachers began to see that computers also
had the potential to aid instruction. From the
time computers came into classrooms in the
1960s until about 1990, this perspective was
known as educational computing and
encompassed both instructional and
administrative support applications.
14. Technology Integration is the use of
learning technologies to introduce,
reinforce, supplement and extent skills.
This signifies that the mere use of
computer does not mean that
technology is already integrated in the
instruction. A need to provide learning
on how educational technology can be
applied and integrated in the teaching-
learning process is very crucial.
15. The principal goal of education is to create
men and women who are capable of doing
new things, not simply repeating what other
generations have done.
Educational technology helps the learners to
be in-line to the modern world that they
facing and to enhance their skills using
technology.
16. Educational technology as media and
audiovisual communications
This movement produced audiovisual
communications or the "branch of
educational theory and practice concerned
primarily with the design and use of
messages that control the learning process“.
The view of educational technology as
media to deliver information continues to
dominate areas of education and the
communications industry.
17. The teachers are the ones who are creating the
learning environment, which means that they are
facilitating the learning process. Information technology
for higher thinking skills and creativity includes four
types of IT-based projects:
(1) Resource based projects wherein the teacher is only
supplying the data needed if only necessary.
(2) Simple creations, which is focused on the creativity
of the students.
(3) Guided hypermedia project which refers to the
production of self-made multimedia projects e.g.
power-point presentations, multi-media presentations
and etc.
(4) Web-based projects wherein students create and post
web pages on a given topic.
18. Educational technology research always had
an ambitious agenda. Sometimes it only
aims at increased efficiency or effectiveness
of current practice, but frequently it aims at
pedagogical change. While it can be
considered as a design science it also
addresses fundamental issues of learning,
teaching and social organization and
therefore makes use of the full range of
modern social science and life sciences
methodology.
19. Personal Computer as Information
Communication Technology (ICT)
• encompasses all the materials and
physical means an instructor might
use to implement instruction and
facilitate students' achievement of
instructional objectives.
• are seen by educators as aids rather
than substitutions for the teacher
20. The idea of student-centered
learning is not a recent idea. In fact,
as early as the 20th century,
educational educators such as John
Dewey argued for a highly active and
individualized pedagogical methods
which place the student at the center
of the teaching-learning process.
22. Educational Communication
Media
• the means of delivering
and receiving data or
information.
• acts as a communication
channel for linking
various computing
devices so that they may
interact with each other.
25. As a future educator, it is very important to
make your instructional materials attractive and
readable that contains a well structured information
that is well designed. In Edtc 21, I have learned that
designing the materials that we are going to use to
present our presentation is a great factor to attract
our learners and to get their interest to learn about
the topic. Designing our instructional materials is
depends to our topic it should be relevant to the
topic. If the PowerPoint presentation doesn’t follow
the color principles if we use light color as a
background we can use dark colors as the color of
our font. When it comes to slides to the PowerPoint
presentation present it in a bullet type and use only
2-3 points per slides.
26. When we are going to put pictures it should be
relevant to the topic avoid pictures that are not
necessary and for the benefits of the learners for them
to understand the topic the presentation should be
readable. We should bear in minds that selecting or
making instructional materials should be relevant to the
learning objectives or to the topic that we are going to
present for that we are able to know how the learners
react on it.
The ADDIE, ASSURE MODEL and DALE’S
CONE OF EXPERIENCE are those things the I’ve
acquired in Educational Technology 1. It really mean a
lot that made me realize one thing that everything that
teachers do should be focus to the learners. The direct
participation of the learners is the most effective
teaching strategy and it is how a teacher can say a Good
Teacher in which the main objectives od educational
technology.
27. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY 2
Integrating Technology is what Educational
Technology 2 is all about. I have learned that a teacher is
more effective with the help of technology as it’s been more
attractive to the eye of the learners and it may get the
attention or interest of the learners.
It enhance the skills of the learner to learn to
communicate wherein a one way of exchanging of ideas take
place.
Therefore, Educational Technology 1 and 2 is really
a big help to the teachers and also to the students. Which
effective learning styles and strategy can make easier
through the help of these two, but using technology to have
the limitations.
28.
29. Since we are in the 21st century, the use of
technology is in the broader-sense, hence it is very crucial
that teachers should possessed competency and computer-
literacy, in order to attend to the needs of students
successfully. On the other hand, the use of chalk board,
manila papers or other traditional ways of teaching seems
so archaic today because of the use of technology, but we
should never forget that traditional ways are the root of
modernized ways of teaching thus traditional methods are
still applicable today in some circumstances.
Technology is not only used for recreation and
playing, but technology is one important tool that would
further enhance the way of teaching and the acquiring of
learning for a teacher and learners.
