18. hailand’s daptation
Promote and strengthen Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) practices
Safeguard food security through the guidance of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy
Promote sustainable agriculture and Good Agricultural Practice (GAP)
Increase capacity to manage climate-related health impacts
Increase national forest cover to 40% through local community participation
Safeguard biodiversity and restore ecological integrity in protected areas and important landscapes from the adverse impacts of
climate change
Develop participatory, integrated marine conservation and coastal rehabilitation plan to protect marine ecosystem
Promote nature-based and sustainable tourism while enhancing better understanding on risk and vulnerability of the tourism sector
Strengthen disaster risk reduction and reduce population’s vulnerability to climate risk
Strengthen climate modeling capacity while promoting collaboration among relevant agencies
Establish effective early warning system and enhance the adaptive capacity of national agencies through multi-hazard risk
assessment and development of database, model, and technology
Build regional climate resilience by serving as a knowledge hub to foster regional cooperation and exchange experiences on
adaptation
19. The Paris Agreement is aim to strengthen the global response
to the threat of climate change, including by:
Holding the increase in the global
average temperature to well below
2
๐
C above pre-industrial levels
and pursuing efforts to limit the
temperature increase to 1.5

above, recognizing that this would
significantly reduce the risks and
impacts of climate change;
Increasing the ability to adapt to the
adverse impacts of climate change
and foster climate resilience and
low greenhouse gas emissions
development, in a manner that does
not threaten food production;
Making finance flows
consistent with a pathway
towards low greenhouse
gas emissions and climate-
resilient development
20. Adaptation planning and implementation
The Agreement (Article 7) requires all Parties, as a
ppropriate, to engage in adaptation planning and im
plementation through e.g. national adaptation plans,
vulnerability assessments, monitoring and evaluatio
n, and economic diversification.
All Parties should, as appropriate, communicate th
eir priorities, plans, actions, and support needs thro
ugh adaptation communications, which shall be rec
orded in a public registry.
