The idea of unity among all species has always struck me as an important one. Until yesterday, I

Masquerade Senior Project
Masquerade for the Masked Survivors "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can
change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" (Margaret Mead). My senior project was
a masquerade to raise money for human trafficking relief. Seeing as I would have needed to be
trained to help one on one with those who had been affected by trafficking, giving money to an
organization that houses and rehabilitates them was the best way that I could help. The Engedi
House is a safe adult home with a friendly family atmosphere, specifically created for housing those
affected by human trafficking. The residents are required to complete the activities of home life and
the Engedi Learning Center.
A $32 billion annual industry, human trafficking is a type of modern slavery that involves the
transportation or trade of innocent people for the purpose of work, whether it be sexual or just for
labor. Human trafficking impacts people of all backgrounds, and there are numerous reasons one

In meeting these learning goals I had to complete some tasks and do research on human trafficking.
To meet learning goal one, I emailed many different Human Trafficking Relief Organizations to find
one to donate to. I asked questions such as how the money helped the affected people and what
percent was given to them. To my dismay none of the 4 organizations emailed back. I finally went
online and did more research on human trafficking in my county and found a local organization

"The one–room cabins looked like hog pens afterward! They had destroyed the furniture in the
cabins and there were beer cans and whiskey bottles all over the place. It was hard to see". On a
lighter side, driving back to Ozark the next morning with Sheriff Lamb, Ozark Police Chief Speaks

Lawman Christopher Dugan (name withheld) stated "The Highway Patrol said they wouldn't come
back if Buff was there. Sheriff Lyman told everyone that he'd take care of it." According to Dugan,
his methods of law enforcement were a little too severe. But if that meant he didn't put up with any
bull, they were 100% correct. The night after the riot, there were as many lawmen as there were
visitors in Rockaway. Nine businesses had been destroyed and a dance hall roof, cars and a looted
liquor store. A few people had been hit with bird–shot from a shotgun, but everyone survived. The
city closed 3 taverns they blamed for the rioting and at least one boy was given a jail sentence for
escape from the Forsyth jail.

How Did Hitler Use Concentration Camps During The Holocaust
Adolf Hitler, a German Politician and leader of the Nazi party once said, "When I came to power, I
did not want the concentration camps to become old age pensioners homes, but instruments of
terror." Hitler wanted the Jews to be afraid of him and the Nazis, while also making them suffer. He

Human tracking is the illegal movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labor. It is
unjustified for anyone to experience being forced to do anything that they don't want to do. Human
trafficking is now the modern day slavery. Law enforcement officials should be aware for the signs

These circumstances have lead to the reemergence of a concept that has existed for a long time: day
labor. Day labor used to be geared more towards American citizens looking for temporary jobs, but
has now taken a new turn in order to fit the necessities of illegal workers. Day labor is defined as "a
practice of searching for work in open air, informal markets such as street corners or in formal temp
agencies" ("Work," 307).
Under this type of labor, the undocumented immigrant is considered an independent contractor or a
temporary domestic worker, and therefore employers are not obliged to ask for work authorization
("Work," 325). Day labor is extremely beneficial to aliens in that it allows immigrants to enter the
work force without being required to have legal immigration status.
There are two types of day labor industries: informal and formal. Informal day labor consists mostly
of men gathering on street corners or parking lots to solicit work. It is considered informal because it
is in no way regulated. The men are often picked up by passing cars and hired for the day on terms
worked out between the employer and the laborer. By contrast, the formal day labor industry is
connected to for–profit temp agencies. These agencies place workers in specific manual jobs and

When childcare problems are chronic, parents don't just miss work; they may leave their jobs
altogether. Finding childcare is especially difficult for employees who work evening or weekend

This is a Petition for Review on Certiorari under Rule 45 of the Rules of Court, assailing the
September 1, 2008 Decision[1] and the January 7, 2009 Resolution[2] of the Court of Appeals (CA),
affirming with modification the November 29, 2007 resolution[3] of the National Labor Relations
Commission (NLRC), which held that respondent Benedict Castro was not illegally dismissed. The

He acted with serious misconduct which breached the trust and confidence reposed in him by the
company. He was duly furnished with the twin notices required by the Labor Code and further, he is
not entitled to overtime pay, rest day pay, night shift differential, holiday pay, and service incentive
leave pay because he was a supervisor, hence, a member of the managerial staff.
In a decision dated June 29, 2007,[7] the LA ruled in favor of respondent by declaring him illegally
dismissed and ordering petitioners to pay his full backwages and, in lieu of reinstatement, his
separation pay. The LA further awarded respondents money claims upon finding that he was not

My Worst Vacation
My Worst Vacation Ever We all know what it's like to go on a vacation and have an amazing time,
but do we know what it's like to have a bad vacation. Last year for Labor Day Weekend we decided
to got on a trip to Atlantis. Atlantis is a water park filled with greatness the most daring slides. I have
been here before but I was younger so i couldn't go on the mouth dropping slides. We woke up at
four o'clock in the morning and drove to the airport because me and my my love early flights. We
love early flights because we can get there in time to see what we could do the next day and check
out our room. When we got to the airport we went to our gate and sat down. We were hungry so
after a while we got the amazing tasting, color rushing, and best looking dozen of donuts I have ever
had. When we got back to our gate we were boarding. Finally we were on the plane. I have a brother
but I always call window seat every time. I love window seat because I can see the beautiful lit up
buildings and city. I can also see the amazing sunrise. I didn't need to use an I can electronic on the
plane when I had window seat. It's like I can feel the sun's beauty. We were just about to take of
when some lady fell. When she fell we all heard a crash. The lady had gotten stuck between the two
seats and couldn't move. Everyone would leave the plane and they said she was fine but they had to

The Birth Of A Child Is A Blessing
For most parents, the birth of a child is a blessing. However, it can also be one of the scariest times
in their lives. According to Jane Weideman, "Giving birth should be your greatest achievement, not
your greatest fear." The miracle of life is the single most fulfilling experience every woman will
remember in her lifetime. Almost every detail of the process is ingrained in the mother's memory,

events is very hard, long, and rewarding at the same time. One alarming event would be for a
woman to go into premature labor. Premature labor or preterm labor is when one's body begins
getting ready to give early birth. A woman in labor more than three weeks before her scheduled due
date experiences premature labor which can lead to giving birth to a premature baby. For sure, this
amazing event is life changing, both an ending and a beginning. It marks the impending end of
gestation and the start of a new family structure.
