1000 feet of Category 6 cabling can be purchased from Amazon for $54.99or 500 feet of Category 5
cabling can be purchased from Amazon for $31.99 (See references for link to site). It is difficult to
determine how much cabling is needed at this time to come put with a final estimate. I would also
recommend buying cables in different jacket colors to help differentiate between network devices if
possible. This will help to narrow down troubleshooting issues with in the office. If someone loses
connectivity you will be able to find the root of the issue much faster.

Server
You will need a server that will handle the 200 employees you have now with room to grow for the
350 you expect to have in the next year. The server will provide management of the system and act as
a Domain server and will set unique username and password to access the system. I recommend the

Where Did Amelia Earhart Go
Ever since her attempt to fly around the world, people have been dazzled by the mysterious question
still hanging in the air: Where did Amelia Earhart go?
Here s a little background information, in case you ve never heard of the world famous Amelia
Earhart. Amelia Earhart was one of the first woman pilots to surf the air. She was also the first female
pilot to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. While she was attempting to be the first female to fly around the
world, she mysteriously disappeared into thin air.
Recently, a theory has dropped down from the clouds saying that she didn t actually die from a plane
crash but instead as a castaway from a remote island. Evidence? An organization called The

Evolution of the Company and the Competitive Environment
From the time of its founding, the Cleveland Clinic never wanted to replace family physicians. Instead
they hoped to be utilized as secondary specialists that would be used as further consults that were
beyond the scope of the family practitioner. Although this style of practicing is still used in the system
today, the Cleveland Clinic has had to overcome many challenges and has implemented many changes
in order to maintain this system. Since it s founding the organization had operated with just a Board of
Trustees. With issues rising between the older and younger generation of leaders in the organization
and the lack of a succession plan left by the original founders, it was suggested that a Medical Survey
Committee be formed. In 1954, the Medical Survey Committee drafted a report stating the issues that
the Cleveland Clinic was facing and how establishing a Board of Governors could help solve some of
the issues (Clough, 2004). Some of these issues included: the lack of a democratic process, the legal
status, the research and educational institutions needed to be strengthen, the medical needs of the
community needed to be evaluated in order to ensure that the proper services were being offered, and
the patient care needed to be improved (Clough, 2004). With these issues and suggestions in mind the
Cleveland Clinic made a new organizational plan. First, the newly formed Board of Governors would

The Events Leading To Walt Disney s Success
Disney
Disney officially started when the founder Walt Disney moved to California in 1923 to sell a cartoon
series that he made, Alice s Wonderland. On October 16, 1923 the series was picked up by a New
York distributed officially marking the beginning of the Disney corporation. Although many know the
founder Walt the company was founded along with his brother Roy Disney. The company was first
named the Disney Brother s Cartoon studio hot was later changed to the Walt Disney studio. From
1923 to 1927 the Alice series was continued until Walt decided to move to an all cartoon production
starring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. By 1928, just one year later, Disney made around two dozen
cartoons staring Oswald.. When trying to apply for funding a second ... Show more content on

His brother Roy took head of the studio and the unseen ideas of Walt carried the company for the next
couple years. The late 60 s saw the launch of instant classics such as The Jungle Book, The
Aristocrats, and The Love Bug. After Roy died in 1971 the company was taken over by senior
member who were trained under the Disney brothers.
As the movie industry changed from family to the teenage and adult scenes, Disney started
Touchstone Pictures. This section of the Disney empire was responsible for the movie Splash in 1984
and the tv series The Golden Girls the following year. By 1988 Disney started leading the filmmaking
industry with hits such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Good Morning Vietnam, and Honey, I shrunk
the kids. These films and more made the company over 100 million dollars. Disney movies
continually saw success in movies like My Little Mermaid and Aladdin. The movies success continue
even to the modern day.
Although many of Disney s ventures were successful it did produce some failures. The first was losing
the rights to his own cartoon Oswald. Before world war 2 a strike against Disney by many of its
animators occurred. After the war the company was 4 million dollars in debt. When Disneyland was
founded many people forged tickets and snuck into Disneyland losing the company money. And even
movies such as Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty originally lost the company millions of
dollars and resulted in

Renewable Is Sustainable For Renewable Energy
Renewable is Sustainable
Soon, planet Earth will run out of the resource that once was thought to be reliable. Earth is in great
danger of self destructing if there is no backup plan. This is where renewable resources come in.
Renewable resources are abundant and do not damage the environment, so they are a sustainable
method to produce energy. The options for renewable energy are solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and
geothermal.
Why should Earth abandon the systems that they have in place at the moment? The reason behind
adopting renewable energy is because the system that is in place today is unsustainable. It is
unsustainable for many reasons. Fossil fuels, which include coal, oil, and natural gas, are the main
source of energy in today s world, but bring a wide variety of adverse effects (Cooper, Renewable
Energy).
Burning these fossil fuels releases harmful pollutants into the environment, with the main one being
carbon dioxide. The release of carbon dioxide is the primary cause of global warming, which in itself
is a serious threat to Earth. Along with causing global warming, the release of carbon dioxide leads to
air pollution. Air pollution is dangerous to the various ecosystems of Earth, and also to humans.
One of the major reasons that it is unsustainable, other than it slowly killing the Earth, is that it is not
infinitely available. Fossil fuels are not abundant, and soon will be completely depleted. With the
demand increasing and the supply

Algorithmic Game Theory Essay
In algorithmic game theory, it is easy to find the Nash equilibrium if one can derive the default
strategies of each player from the instructions/parameters of the algorithm. It is also not particularly
hard to find the optimal solution to an algorithm either. In algorithmic mechanism design, it would be
the goal of the algorithm designer to fashion the algorithm in such a way that causes the Nash
equilibrium to be the same as the Pareto optimal (or at least close to optimal) result. This would mean
that it would be impossible to make any player better off in the game without hurting another player at
the same time (optimal), while it also being impossible for any one player to improve their situation
by altering only their strategy (Nash equilibrium). It is the goal to make these two circumstances exist
simultaneously.
Next I will discuss my favorite topic regarding algorithmic game theory; the price of anarchy. I have
to admit that the reasons this topic is my favorite are rather ridiculous; the name sounds really cool,
and I like that the concept is also used in economics. Anyhow, the price of anarchy is a concept that
measures how the efficiency of a system is ruined by the participants self centered actions.
(Koutsoupias and Papadimitriou, 1999) Essentially, this is the result of an inefficient set of equilibrium
outputs. If a system is not designed with the users motives in mind, the system is often ruined by
participants who are strategically trying to benefit

Essay on Sweeney Todd
Dynamic characters are characters which go through substantial changes, typically due to a traumatic
or powerful experience. In Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street, by Hugh Wheeler, the
character known as Sweeney Todd is arguably a dynamic character; Due in part, heavily, to having his
tendencies of being entirely self motivated and caring nothing for anyone but himself ripped away as
he discovers he murdered his wife. Sweeney Todd at the beginning of the play obviously seems to care
nothing for anyone except revenge for the supposed murder of his wife. Nearing the end of the play,
He still has that same primary concern for revenge no matter what the cost. However, at the very end
of the play when he discovers his wife dead, he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lovett, through nothing short of hard work and a seemingly magical tendency to not get caught in the
act. Sweeney s daughter, Joanna, is his only remaining link to his wife as far as he is aware, yet
regardless of that fact, he is more than willing to put her and Anthony directly in harm s way via a
cunning plan, so that he may get the opportunity to murder the judge. Sweeney Todd shows absolutely
no loyalties to anyone and would go so far as sacrificing the last of his own flesh and blood. Sweeney
ignores opportunities to speak with his daughter and even threatens to severe her jugular when he feels
she is getting in the way or becoming a risk to him. Mrs. Barker, or Sweeney Todd s wife, is dead as
far as he is aware, but he gets into direct confrontations with her numerous times and just pushes her
away; blinded to her existence as his long lost wife. Sweeney Todd pays no attention to the identity of
the woman whom seems to bother and fondle everyone she meets while begging for change. However,
if he hadn t been so distracted with his revenge he might have noticed that thewoman whom stood in
front of him was none other than his wife from many years earlier. It becomes hard to picture a scene
in which any right minded individual could look into the eyes of a long lost spouse and murder them
without becoming privy to the knowledge that they are past partners.

Communication in Shattered Glass Essay
1.) What is communication according to you? Discuss various elements of communication and use
scenes or aspects from the motion picture to illustrate your view.
Communication, by my own means, is a way to for two or more people to interact or influence each
other. It is a way of discovering our world without having to travel kilometres or spending millions.
Communication is the single most important aspect in our human society, that without it, the chances
of survival are finite. There are about five key elements of communication and the each are involved
with parallel processing, where both individuals initiates the communication process. Some of the
elements include the source (sender), message, channel, receiver, and feedback. Each ... Show more

After seeing the torment Glass is putting himself through his colleagues simultaneously agree to help
him. This shows how Glass would not take no for an answer, and until he gets a response that is in his
favor, he is willing to behave in ways that strongly touch people s emotions, causing an immediate
feedback.
The second element example is source (sender), where the sender attempts to replicate his or her
internal thoughts or feelings into someone else by some type of external messaging medium. Every
time you would hear a word come out of Glass s mouth his main intent would be to influence some
kind of relationship or loyalty. For example in the beginning of the scene when he tells Gloria (an
employee at The New Republic ) that she has a nice necklace, or the scene where he is telling his
college how he feels as if Chuck Lane (the new head editor of The New Republic ) is trying to remove
everyone loyal to Michael Kelly ( the former well loved head editor ) by firing him, are all ways of
him building a relationship or loyalty by using common interest between he colleagues even if he has
no interest at all. This is his attempt to build an army so when he is ever being chastised he would
always have someone there to back him up.
Now the last element example is channel, which is the medium of communication in which the
message is transferred. In this movie the use of phones and the internet was in constant use for asking

The Stifling Health Concerns Of Dietary Supplements Consumers
The lack of regulation in the supplement industry The concoction of deceptive business methods and
unrestricted regulations have resulted in detrimental health concerns of dietary supplements
consumers. Dietary supplements is virtually unrestricted, and expanding its markets, much like the
snake oil medicines of the early 1900s . In 1993, this industry was generating 4 billion a year, by 2003
consumers spent 16.8 billions on supplements, and it is currently at 37 billion a year.(Wingert,1993;
Larsen, 2003; Bradley, 2015). This massive industry is gaining popularity from the increasing amount
of health enthusiast, and aging population. However due to the introduction of the DSHEA and the
limiting of the FDA s regulatory power, this industry has become chaotic, dangerous but highly
profitable. Consumers are in danger of ingesting unregulated and potentially dangerous pill, that are
marketed to them as nature s cures. The lobbyist and senators pass law in favor of this lucrative
industry and it will continue to grow and prospers, until the victimized consumers stand up and
strongly voice their opinions. Just like when the industry successfully campaign for supplements and
limiting regulations, we consumers should use our democratic voice against the lack of obstacles, and
safety measures of supplements. Back in the 1900s, due to the lack of regulations, anything in a bottle
can be called medicine. This opportunity led to the creation of many quack doctors , who

American Art During The Great Depression
American Art during the Great Depression and before World War II sought to rebrand and rebuild a
broken and desperate nation. In colonies around the country, artists banded together to study and
support one another, and U.S. government programs of the WPA, FAP, and FSA provided
opportunities for artists to create public works on a scale never seen before in this country. Like the
LDS Church Welfare program begun at the same time, these art initiatives revived the individual s
dignity in the form of opportunity. The public, too, wanted new art that reflected the turmoil of the
country. The nation was hurting, and from this crucible of suffering emerged a body of artwork that
documented the common man and woman rural and urban, North and South, the haves and the have
nots. Distinct from the romanticized landscapes of the frontier and portraits of wealthy Easterners that
proceeded the period, this was art that mattered: it was aimed squarely to uplift and ennoble a battered
public.
One of the WPA era artists of distinction, whose award winning paintings and prints were exhibited at
the Art Institute of Chicago, Corcoran Gallery, New York World s Fair, Whitney Museum of American
Art, and in galleries in New York, Washington, D.C., St. Louis, San Francisco, and is now in the
permanent collections of the National Gallery, the Smithsonian, Carnegie Museum of Art, and St.

The Darkling Thrush And The Force That Through The Green...
Natural instances are prominent in Hardy s The Darkling Thrush and Thomas s The Force That
Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower . Hardy reminisces over the past while witnessing a
changing society while Thomas reminisces over the certain destruction of his youth and vitality, even
with different concerns both authors problems are due to passing time. Both poems have a certain
contrast when explaining their theme but both are aware of the idea of death being a natural
occurrence that awaits all of us. The two author s similarities are highlighted by a look at form, tone,
words, and continuous use of nature to depict theme. In The Darkling Thrush the speaker ponders how
slow death surrounds him, and how life is diminishing with almost no reason to live in a new era full
of dullness. The speaker shows intense reflection over his thoughts and works through his ideas. When
the speaker hears a beautiful song coming from a dying bird, his dark realistic perspective of living
changes as he sees that the birds last breaths were spent singing a song. He continues to be realistic
over the topic of death and not overthink the full hearted evensong (Hardy 615), but the bird gives him
a chance to think about something more hopeful in this bleak world. The bird, a thrush which is found
in nature symbolizes the natural side of death. Even if it was passing, the bird reflected his soul in
song creating the idea of a death just being a lulling moment in a gloom lonely world;

Thoroughbreds and Saddlebreds
Thoroughbreds and Saddlebreds are both commonly known horses. They Both have been selectively
bred to get their high quality. Although, these horses have been bred so carefully, they have been bred
together to get a faster horse, but also great for show. Thoroughbreds are bred for their speed. They re
known as the English Horse, because they evolved in Britain in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Thoroughbreds were named because of the way they were bred. They were called thoroughbreds
because they were purebred. The name , Thoroughbred, is a direct translation of the Arabic word
Kehilan ( IHWT Irish Horse Welfare Trust ). The origin of the breeding of thoroughbred back in the
ancient times was found that the three main descendants weren t very fast horses. The gene that made
these horses so quick came from an anonymous mare that was raced more than 300 years ago. They
think that this mare may have been part or mostly Shetland. Thoroughbreds are often described as the
highest class of light horse imaginable. The Irish Thoroughbred has won many major races throughout
the world ( IHWT Irish Horse Welfare Trust ). Thoroughbreds are usually about 16 hands tall, (1 hand
is equal to 3 feet). They are long and sleek, with long legs which allows them to move quickly. Their
most common colors would be brown, bay, chestnut, and black. They have a straight profile and all

Class Or Socioeconomic Level Analysis
Class or socioeconomic level is typically defined as social sets, where each particular group share
similar or the same resources, in terms of economical, property, and status (Phillips, 2012). Therefore,
it tends to be a rank in accordance to wealth, power, and income, meaning the more you have of each
of these the higher the class will be (Lyall, 2016). This idea of class or socioeconomic level has a huge
impact on children in the New Zealand education sector, as many policies indirectly effecting
education typically advantages the middle class families (Thrupp, 2007). Class effects not only the
access to resources, but also the health of the students, and the zoning that they are included in. All
these factors, as well as many more, have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Class plays a major contributor to the standard of health children bring into the education sector, those
from working class families tend to have a lower standard of health than those in middle class families
(Brooks Gunn Duncan, 1997). This is due to a number of reasons, all resulting back to the limited
access working class families have to needed amenities. Working class are likely to have a limited
access to healthy foods, as these foods are typically more expensive (Stephens, Markus, Fryberg,
2012). Therefore, these families receive little nutritional food, which leads to a large amount of
diseases and unhealthy habits. Housing also impacts on the health of children which influences on the
education sector. This is because working class tends to only have access to a lower quality of
housing, these may be houses that are potentially damp, and cold (Childrens Commissioner, 2010).
This leads to an unhealthy environment, which causes the children and families to be unwell, therefore
lowering their standard of health. Working class also have less access to services such as health care
and services (Childrens Commissioner, 2010). Therefore, they are less likely to rebound as quickly
from illness, as those in middle class would, with a large access to healthcare. These issues have a
significant effect on the health of the children, and therefore on the education sector, as it leads

Lamentations 1-3 Poem
In Lamentations 1 3, The whole metropolis of Judah was destroyed and the people who were not
murdered were captured and made slaves in Babylon. The people who survived the destruction of
Judah suffered immensely with no rest due to their new lives of hard servitude. This was believed to
have happened because rulers or kings had mistreated the children of Israel.
It is often necessary to express intense feelings when facing a tragedy, or in order to face a tragedy.
Sometimes fears may clearly be recognized as such and confronted openly but other times an outlet is
needed in order to release negative emotions, this supports the fact that Lamentations 1 3 and Psalm

In Lamentations 1 3, Judah is expressed in the text as she and the description of the destruction was

The Concept Of Hinduism And Buddhism
INTRODUCTION TO THE CONCEPT OF HINDUISM AND BUDDHISM
Hinduism is often called one of the oldest living religions or oldest living major traditions amongst
other religions still being practiced currently, this is due to the fact that certain elements within
Hinduism stretches back for thousands of years.
Hinduism is often referred to as Sanatana Dharma , a Sanskrit phrase meaning the eternal law . Also, it
does not have a single definition mostly because it holds a vast array of beliefs and also because it can
be linked to Buddhism, Jainism etc.
Some schools of thoughts do not describe Hinduism as a religion but rather as a way of worship that
informs you about the duties, life style and vision of living established in the Indian subcontinent.
Hinduism is formed from diverse traditions, as such Hinduism does not have a single founder.
Buddhism is a tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development and knowing or attainment of a
deeper insight to the true nature of life. Buddhists do not believe in a personal God, instead in
Buddhism it is believed that nothing is fixed or permanent and that change is inevitable and always
possible.
Buddhists believe that life is endless and subject to suffering and uncertainty. This comes from the
Buddhist school of thought that teaches that existence is endless because individuals are reincarnated
time and time again thus continually experiencing suffering and pain throughout many life times.

1. The Syrian civil war also commonly known as the Syrian uprising is an ongoing armed conflict in
Syria between forces loyal to the Syrian Baath Party government and those seeking to oust it. The
conflict began on 15 March 2011, with popular demonstrations that grew nationwide by April 2011.
These demonstrations were part of the wider Middle Eastern protest movement known as the Arab

presidency in Syria since 1971, as well as the end to over four decades of Baath Party rule. In April

For these reasons the book has been a center point of controversy and has been criticized by book
reviewers and adults alike particularly for its use of sexuality, drug use, rape, and graphic language.
However, many students and book associations have defended against its banning claiming that it
allows them to relate to the reality of the book and gives them dialogue that helps them face the
challenges of being a teenager.

Dissent In The Civil Rights Movement
On January 21, 2017, an estimated 500,000 Americans marched on the National Mall, continuing a
longstanding tradition of protest on this public space. On this particular day, protesters sought to send
a message to President Donald Trump regarding women s rights. Known as the Women s March, this
event is only one of the more recent examples of large scale protest and dissent on the National Mall.
Throughout American history, protest movements have often made their way to Washington, D.C., the
capital city and political center of the United States. Although the National Mall was not necessarily
designed in a way that fosters protest, it quickly became the foremost venue for American
demonstration. As AIDS activist Cleve Jones once stated, the ... Show more content on

Although the McMillan Plan left some room for interpretation, it also continued to promote some
national ideals and demonstrators took advantage of that state sponsored fiction of universality... [and]
made the Mall the nation s premier setting for political assembly and protest. More simply, protestors
used the glorified sense of union promoted on the Mall to push forward their political dissent. This
principle is particularly relevant in understanding the Civil Rights Movement s utilization of the
National Mall. In August 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders planned a prayer
pilgrimage to the Lincoln Memorial, where King delivered his most famous speech on its steps. King
s choice to deliver his speech at this memorial was undeniably deliberate. Abolitionist President
Lincoln led the United States through the Civil War and gained a reputation as the man who ended
slavery. King s speech, delivered at the memorial that honored that man, outlined the principles of
racial equality focusing on many of the shortcomings in American society. King s choice of venue
suggested that although the Lincoln Memorial celebrated equality in principle, the United States had a
long way to go regarding this issue. This demonstration s use of a feature on the National Mall
demonstrated the hypocrisy of it, as the public space honored a doctrine that was not universally
practiced in everyday American life. This march was one of the first of its kind, but it was certainly
not the last. Throughout the latter half of the twentieth century, demonstrations have utilized features
of the National Mall to promote relevant political causes. Demonstrations against the Vietnam War
occurred frequently on the National Mall, many of which were less carefully

Descriptive Diary Of Ww1
The date was the 18th of December 1916; I was awoken by the sound of a howling bullet as it landed
ever so close to an allied marksman. Ironically that wasn t the only thing that got me up that morning;
General Morgan was spouting orders telling me, Thomas get up boy and go fetch me my binoculars,
what is wrong with you? Today s the day we go over the top . The general was a man who wore the
French uniform as if it was a suit of armour, while exploiting his rank at any chance he could. Infantry
soldiers like myself knew that through his eyes, we were nothing but chess pieces on a board. That
day I did manage to fetch his binoculars, not for him but simply to keep my mind off what was going

The rough smell of gunpowder filled the air, clutching our lungs as more and more men fell. Voices of
courage and aggression quickly turned to the sound of men crying, their mouths gasping onto the air
trying to preserve the little life they had left while others simply went silent but the tank continued to
roll. The tank was faring well, its steel exterior and thick tracks shielded us from the horrors outside.
The machine tank continued to roll with me helpless inside, forcing me to watch and wither. Every
muzzle flash, every haunting scream, every bloody detail carved into my mind forging the worst of all
nightmares. Though, even the tank had limits as its tracks eventually gave way to the onslaught of
bullets. Shell shocked and ears ringing, I had managed to escape the machine with a weapon in one
hand and a flare in the other. Blinded by the fire erupting from the tanks wreckage, the flames
ultimately gave way to the night revealing the war torn battlefield.
Lucky to be alive, I fled under fire to the nearest shell hole hoping to regroup with my allies. To my
surprise I ran into General Morgan and a few other infantry soldiers. Morgan, our leader, was
whimpering with his arms wrapped around himself. A man who had seemed invincible was broken,
leaving the men and I without a leader. I decided to take matters into my own hands as I collaborated
with the nearby soldiers to launch an attack. The plan was

His groundbreaking achievements have impacted life as we know it. David Baltimore is one man
whose impact on society will be felt for generations to come. Baltimore changed the way that
scientists viewed the genetic theory, overturning the belief that genetic information flowed in one
direction from DNA to RNA. This was essential to research and discoveries made about the HIV
virus. Baltimore s work with cancer research was also pivotal to society. The implications of his
research led to new discoveries in medicines as well as applications to which treatments could be
made. Here real strides were made towards helping with cancer, specifically leukemia. David
Baltimore s hard work was acknowledged with his earning of the Noble Prize for Physiology or
Medicine. Baltimore would then proceed to further his research by operating his own laboratory and
advancing his work. With specific experiments on mice, Baltimore was able to study genes, which
were fused with the cancer cells, and apply this information to a new type of drug that would be used
on the genetic level. Baltimore has held many key positions and prestigious institutions such as;
M.I.T., Caltech, and Rockefeller university. Besides research, Baltimore was also involved socially
and politically with issues affecting society. He was an early advocate for AIDS and he helped the
issue gain recognition that would be essential to treating the disease. David Baltimore s work with
cancer causing viruses has led to breakthrough discoveries towards medicine and treatment. Simply
put, David Baltimore has impacted society in so many ways. He has not only conducted the research
but has also been an advocate for causes impacting his research. Baltimore s tireless work to his field
helped to make medicines and applications that impact society as a whole. His work has changed the

Chief Master Sergeant Paul W. Airey Essay
Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy Introduction There are many types of leaders
not only in the military, but also in every civilian company around the world. We rarely see a leader
who possesses both vision and an ethical style of leadership; however, CMSgt Paul W. Airey, the first
Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, was this type of leader. Throughout this paper I will discuss
his ability to be both a visionary and ethical leader, which resulted in CMSgt Airey being labeled a
legend (LaGrone, 2009, p.2). He was described by the former Chief of Staff, General Norton Schwartz
as an Airman s Airman and one of the true pioneers of the service (LaGrone, 2009, p.2). CMSgt Airey

CMSgt Airey used his leadership ability to address the low retention rates of first term Airmen, which
was at a 12 year low (Lucas, 1997). As a visionary leader he understood that it was not just the war in
Vietnam that was to blame for the low retention (Lucas, 1997). He realized that the promotion system
was broken and he set his sites on developing a system that would improve promotion opportunities
for every Airman (Lucas, 1997). Many would say that this was the most influential contribution he
made during his tenure. CMSgt Airey led a team from several career fields. He understood and used
the Z process according to Thomas N. Barnes Center (2012a) team building when he met with his
team (p.6 8). The teams use and understanding according to Thomas N. Barnes Center (2012a) change
management resulted in the the development of the Weighted Airman Promotion System (WAPS)
(p.17 19) (Lucas, 1997). Chief Airey was quoted as saying the end result was a promotion system
which today is still in effect and is by far the fairest, most equitable enlisted promotion system of any
of the armed forces (Lucas, 1997, p3). Furthermore, CMSgt Airey understood that you could not have
vision if you sat behind a desk and because of this he traveled to many bases throughout his tenure. He
was asked by the chairman of the House Banking Committee to go to Europe after many complaints
about outrageous interest rates on loans

A Qualitative Analysis of the Types of Goals Athletes Set...
Summary of an Article: A Qualitative Analysis of the Types of Goals Athletes Set in Training and
Competition
Validity and Reliability In order for research to be reliable, other researchers must be able to perform
the same experiment and achieve the same results (Shuttleworth, 2008). The reliability of this study is
unknown at this point. In the past, researchers have used quantitative methods to try to find out the
feelings that athletes have had about goal setting. This survey method has increased reliability because
it has limited the answer options for the survey respondents. However, the researchers were concerned
that the results be generalizable, so they adopted an open ended survey. Athletes completed an open
ended questionnaire about the specific types of goals they set. The questionnaire was structured
around issues of interest in the present research (e.g., goal setting in training versus competition) and
previous findings (e.g., athletes set goals for skill improvement, confidence enhancement, and for
outcomes such as winning) (Munroe Chandler et al., 2004). Because it was a qualitative study and the
investigators coded responses, examining internal reliability is critical to determine whether or not the
study exhibited reliability. The researchers used a constant comparative method to divide transcripts
into text units and compare and regroup them. Two researchers independently ranked the responses,
and they had 97% agreement on their coding, which

Transcendentalism is a literary movement in the 1830s that suggest that every individual is capable

of nature, self reliance, simplicity, self trust/confidence, and nonconformity. The movie Dead Poets
Society is about a teacher who teaches his group of students how to live transcendental. The movie
shows great acts of transcendentalism through each of the characters using the different tenets. Mr.
Keating and Knox Overstreet in dead poets society shows that living transcentally is worth the
consequences. Mr. Keating s actions of nonconformity in the movie Dead Poets Society benefitted his
character in many ways. Mr.Keating was the poetry teacher of a group of boys who used to be in Dead
Poets Society who chose to live transcentally. In his class he encouraged the boys to do whatever they
want to do, to believe in themselves, and not follow the crowd. He told them to seize the day no matter
what and just like Thoreau you should [l]ive each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink,
taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each (Thoreau). As you live each day you
should live it as simply as possible and live each like it was your last. Each of the boys in the Dead

Hepatitis is caused by a virus that is targeted at the liver, one of your most important organs!!
Specifically, it causes inflammation and injury to the liver. Hepatitis comes in many different forms,
five to be exact. There is Hepatitis A, B, C, D amp; E. Hepatitis is caused mainly by viruses, all of
which are set on shutting down your liver. I will be specifically concentrating on Hepatitis A in this
report. Hepatitis A is also known as infectious Hepatitis, an extremely contagious viral infection that
often effects young children and young adults, especially those in large groups. It has been known to

This keeps up for a few days and you begin to feel a loss of appetite as well as nausea. A low grade
fever between 100 °f 102 °f is present. A pain and discomfort in the abdomen above the liver is also
common, due to enlargement of the liver. After a few days of torture, a person s urine becomes darker
than usual and then jaundice, (a yellowish discoloration of the skin) appears. Jaundice and the dark
urine indicate that liver is not functioning properly in removing a reddish yellow pigment called
bilirubin from the blood.
Treatment / Prevention:
There is no specific treatment for viral Hepatitis. Bed rest and preferably hospitalization is a necessary
step in the early treatment. Even though Hepatitis A is a highly contagious virus, isolation of the
patient to a single room is not necessary. However, proper prevention methods such as washing your
hand after handling the patient, careful handling of the body fluids and feces and wearing gloves when
drawing blood is important.
Prolonged bed rest is not essential for full recovery but patients feel better with restricted physical
activity. A high calorie diet is a good idea and because many patients have nausea late in the day, the
major caloric intake is best given in the morning. Intravenous feeding is necessary if the patient has
continuos vomiting. Isolation of the patient to a single room and bath room is unnecessary, however

THE THREE MAIN ASPECTS TO THE CONQUEST OF MEXICO
The Spanish conquest of Mexico drastically influenced modern day Latin America. It generated a
mixture of race, a vast number of dialects, and religious syncretism with the Catholic faith. The
Conquest was more than just the subjugation of the Mexica people, it was the beginning of the
advancement in the Americas. The conquest involved three main aspects that were crucial to its

and a particular Z score above the mean. This Z score represents a positive Z score as it is to the right
of the mean. Notice that the area to the left of the mean equals 50% of the scores or values of a
variable. Remember we have symmetry of the curve on both sides or 50% of scores or values on both
sides.
On the right, we see a normal curve with a highlighted area, B, which represents the percentage of
scores or values between the mean and a particular Z score below the mean. This represents a negative
Z score.

Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay
Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals sharing a given trait
also should or do share other attributes assumed to be associated with aspects such as race, religion,
and physical attribute. While stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also
influence the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these flawed
images, especially in regards to gender stereotypes. Shakespeare s great play Othello uses its main
characters to embody the characteristics of the stereotypical females and males according to society s
liking. The stereotypical woman is loyal and faithful to her husband, while the male stereotype
possesses strength, control, and dominance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option for Othello
when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female stereotypes. Without the ability to
label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders
Desdemona to redeem her from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to
alter views that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively
comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to comprehend truths
unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles. Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona
and Othello to display how people become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for
them. Therefore, both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally
as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented.
Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall, flawed views
among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction. Othello and Desdemona best
exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as pure, compassionate, and understanding towards
everyone, especially Othello. Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about
females is valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same

Dependent Personality Disorder is characterized by a pervasive and excessive need to be taken care of
that leads to submissive and clinging behavior (APA, 2013, p. 675). This description aptly defines the

Zappos
1. The original business model for Zappos was the drop ship model which is being the middle man
(Brady, 2010). The easiest way to think about a drop ship business model is to think about your own
retail web based or mail order business. In many ways they work the same. An order with payment
comes in, is processed and then shipped to the purchaser. In both your retail environment and in the
drop ship environment, the person receiving the package is your customer. The only difference to the
customer is that in the one instance, the product is shipped directly from your location and in the other
instance; the product is shipped from another location. (Steve, 2009). Over the past several years, drop

Religion in Colonial America Essay
Religion was the foundation of the early Colonial American Puritan writings. Many of the early
settlements were comprised of men and women who fled Europe in the face of persecution to come to
a new land and worship according to their own will. Their beliefs were stalwartly rooted in the fact
that God should be involved with all facets of their lives and constantly worshiped. These Puritans
writings focused on their religious foundations related to their exodus from Europe and religions role
in their life on the new continent. Their literature helped to proselytize the message of God and
focused on hard work and strict adherence to religious principles, thus avoiding eternal damnation.

This passage shows how Christ set the example for all to follow by giving his life for us and that if
these people coming to the world would follow Christ s pattern, they in turn could be an example to
others one day. John Winthrop was a true leader who understood that the difficulties the new world
would present could be overcome through Christian Charity. As such he was able to organize a
community based on religious convictions that would motivate people to work as one to succeed.
Cotton Mathers 1663 1728 Cotton Mather was remembered as one of the most influential Puritan
ministers of his time. Mather set the moral tone in the colonies and led the charge for 2nd and 3rd
generation Puritans to get back to the theological roots of Puritanism that were held by the earlier
generation settlers. From an early age much was expected of Mather. He was the son of Increase
Mather who had achieved much success as a minister and the President of Harvard. Although Mather
didn t follow in his father s footsteps as a political leader, or by becoming the president of Harvard,
Mather was known for his knack for recording history. By the end of his life he had contributed more

Calculating and Interpreting a Project Network Diagram
In the world of project management, utilizing the three point technique can prove to be an invaluable
tool. In addition to the three point technique applying the earliest start (ES), earliest finish (EF), latest
start (LS), and latest finish (LF) procedure to identify the critical path, the project completion time,
and the slack for each task can prove to be set of invaluable data that will assist the project manager in
accurately determining task duration estimates for the entire scope of work for the project. In this
week s assignment we will explore a construction company and the associated time estimates for each
task as it relates to their entire project.

Scenario 3 All tasks delayed by 1 week: If each task is delayed by one week the entire project
completion time line will be affected. Most notably tasks C, F, and H will be affected as they have a
slack value of 0. More importantly task J the final task in the project network diagram has a value of 0
and a LF of 39 which would not be met because of the delay.
Scenario 4 The duration for task C is reduced by 25%: Because task C has a slack value of 0 reducing
its duration time from 12 weeks to 8 weeks would pose a threat to the project completion time line.
However, since task D has a slack value of 13 and starts in week 8 along with task C, the project
manager can utilize the slack time available within task D to shift resource to assist in completed task
C in 8 weeks. This action will keep the project completion date from slipping from its original
completion date in week 39.
Our final exercise will include a brief discussion on risk management. After analyzing the data tasks
C, F, and H pose a potential risk to the project as there is no slack available. My risk response is to
avoid; therefore, I would have the resources for task D assist task C, the resources from E and G assist
F, which would provide slack for H. This approach would greatly reduce the chances of any of the
tasks

Archetypes In Cinderella
The Conflict of Good and Evil; An Analysis of Significant Archetypes in Cinderella The struggle
between good and evil is the primal conflict of the mind, but it is the choices we make that let us
overcome this conflict for the better. The age old tale of Cinderella utilizes this concept and illustrates
a brilliant story about a young woman struggling to achieve true love while simultaneously enduring
arbitrary abuse from her stepmother. Regarding this, the more recent film adaption of the story
directed by Kenneth Branagh extends the same plot into a more symbolic and archetypical piece.
Accordingly, the movie Cinderella, effectively applies several aspects of archetypes from Jung s
literary theory to demonstrate how good always triumphs over evil. The use of significant archetypes
such as the hero looking for true love, a supernatural intervention, and the devil figure, all contribute
to expanding on this theme. Primarily, the heroine looking for love is one of the most substantial
character archetypes that influence the development of the story s charming plot. Specifically, this
archetype applies to the main character; Cinderella, who is purely influenced by the love she has for
the Prince. Despite the barrage of unrelenting abuse from her stepmother, Ella strongly believes that
the prince will return her feelings, which motivates her to plough through her constraints with the aid
of her Fairy God Mother. Regarding this, the antagonist represents the evil in the way of the
protagonist; Cinderella, which is why when she is defeated, it further accentuates the idea of good
triumphing over evil. Overall, using the Hero as lover archetype, the theme of the story is enhanced
and portrayed effectively. Moreover, the supernatural intervention is a slightly less prevalent yet
noteworthy symbolic archetype that aids the closure of the plot. The Fairy God Mother falls under this
example due to her role in assisting the protagonist with her divine and magical powers; explicitly,
equipping Cinderella with a dress, a chariot, and her iconic glass shoes. The Godmother is a spiritual
being who only awakens after realizing Ella s extreme desperation, she promptly aids her with any
necessary gifts which allows her to

The Effects of Feudalism Essay
In Medieval times during the 10th and 13th centuries, a form of political and social organization called
feudalism was a way of life that had great effect on people of the time and on the modern world.
Feudalism was developed because of the weakness of Europe and it s kings. The word feudalism
comes from the word fief, which was the land held on condition of feudal service, similar to an estate
(English). The fiefs bound together lords and vassals. Feudalism was a structure in which a lord
divided his land into smaller parts to give to lesser lords ( Feudalism ). A noble, or lord, was in control
of his manor. The manor was the heart of feudal economy (Ellis and Esler 222). A manor often

Life as a serf or peasant was not easy. Serfs were bound to their lord s land and required to do services
for him. Although they could not be sold like slaves, they had no freedom (Ellis and Esler 219 244).
Peasants farmed for the goods that the lord and his manor needed. They went through difficult
hardship because of this. Peasants were heavily taxed and had to provide for themselves the goods that
they needed ( The Middle Ages ). According to the medieval law, the peasants were not considered to
belong to themselves ( The Middle Ages ). Although serfs were peasants and had relatively the same
duties and similar rights, what differentiated a peasant from a serf was that a peasant was not bound to
the land ( The Middle Ages ). Peasants had no schooling and no knowledge of the outside world (Ellis
and Esler 219 244). They rarely traveled more than a couple miles outside of their villages. All
members of a peasant family, including children, tended crops, farmed, and did some sort of work to
help out (Ellis and Esler 224). Very few peasants lived past the age of 35 because of hunger in the
winter and the easy development and transmission of disease (Ellis and Esler 224). Women in this
time lived a hard life as well. Regardless of their status in society, they were tied to household tasks (
The Middle Ages ). This including duties such as cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children,
sewing, and baking. Along with these jobs, women also

It is an ideal for which I hope to live and see realized. But, my Lord, if needs be, it is an ideal for
which I am prepared to die. (Liberfield 1) Mandela maintained his peacefulness and leadership
qualities in prison. Psychologist Saths Cooper, a leader of the rival Black Consciousness Movement,
shared a cellblock with Mandela for five years at Robben Island. He observed that Mandela was, Able
to get on with every person he met. He played a vital role in dampening the conflicts that broke out on
Robben Island. Despite having ideological disagreements, he was able to maintain personal contact

Another prisoner noted of Mandela, It doesn t matter if you differ, he is always polite. He never gets
angry. All he will do is try to have the discussion as amicable as possible (Liberfield 1).
From 1964 to 1982, Mandela was kept in a maximum security prison. In 1988, he was hospitalized for

  • 4. Evolution Of The Company And The Competitive Environment Evolution of the Company and the Competitive Environment From the time of its founding, the Cleveland Clinic never wanted to replace family physicians. Instead they hoped to be utilized as secondary specialists that would be used as further consults that were beyond the scope of the family practitioner. Although this style of practicing is still used in the system today, the Cleveland Clinic has had to overcome many challenges and has implemented many changes in order to maintain this system. Since it s founding the organization had operated with just a Board of Trustees. With issues rising between the older and younger generation of leaders in the organization and the lack of a succession plan left by the original founders, it was suggested that a Medical Survey Committee be formed. In 1954, the Medical Survey Committee drafted a report stating the issues that the Cleveland Clinic was facing and how establishing a Board of Governors could help solve some of the issues (Clough, 2004). Some of these issues included: the lack of a democratic process, the legal status, the research and educational institutions needed to be strengthen, the medical needs of the community needed to be evaluated in order to ensure that the proper services were being offered, and the patient care needed to be improved (Clough, 2004). With these issues and suggestions in mind the Cleveland Clinic made a new organizational plan. First, the newly formed Board of Governors would handle any matters that ... As the movie industry changed from family to the teenage and adult scenes, Disney started Touchstone Pictures. • 6. Renewable Is Sustainable For Renewable Energy Renewable is Sustainable Soon, planet Earth will run out of the resource that once was thought to be reliable. Earth is in great danger of self destructing if there is no backup plan. This is where renewable resources come in. Renewable resources are abundant and do not damage the environment, so they are a sustainable method to produce energy. The options for renewable energy are solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and geothermal. Why should Earth abandon the systems that they have in place at the moment? The reason behind adopting renewable energy is because the system that is in place today is unsustainable. It is unsustainable for many reasons. Fossil fuels, which include coal, oil, and natural gas, are the main source of energy in today s world, but bring a wide variety of adverse effects (Cooper, Renewable Energy). Burning these fossil fuels releases harmful pollutants into the environment, with the main one being carbon dioxide. The release of carbon dioxide is the primary cause of global warming, which in itself is a serious threat to Earth. Along with causing global warming, the release of carbon dioxide leads to air pollution. Air pollution is dangerous to the various ecosystems of Earth, and also to humans. One of the major reasons that it is unsustainable, other than it slowly killing the Earth, is that it is not infinitely available. Fossil fuels are not abundant, and soon will be completely depleted. • 7. Algorithmic Game Theory Essay In algorithmic game theory, it is easy to find the Nash equilibrium if one can derive the default strategies of each player from the instructions/parameters of the algorithm. It is also not particularly hard to find the optimal solution to an algorithm either. In algorithmic mechanism design, it would be the goal of the algorithm designer to fashion the algorithm in such a way that causes the Nash equilibrium to be the same as the Pareto optimal (or at least close to optimal) result. This would mean that it would be impossible to make any player better off in the game without hurting another player at the same time (optimal), while it also being impossible for any one player to improve their situation by altering only their strategy (Nash equilibrium). It is the goal to make these two circumstances exist simultaneously. Next I will discuss my favorite topic regarding algorithmic game theory; the price of anarchy. I have to admit that the reasons this topic is my favorite are rather ridiculous; the name sounds really cool, and I like that the concept is also used in economics. Anyhow, the price of anarchy is a concept that measures how the efficiency of a system is ruined by the participants self centered actions. (Koutsoupias and Papadimitriou, 1999) Essentially, this is the result of an inefficient set of equilibrium outputs. If a system is not designed with the users motives in mind, the system is often ruined by participants who are strategically trying to benefit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street, by Hugh Wheeler, the character known as Sweeney Todd is arguably a dynamic character; Due in part, heavily, to having his tendencies of being entirely self motivated and caring nothing for anyone but himself ripped away as he discovers he murdered his wife. Sweeney Todd at the beginning of the play obviously seems to care nothing for anyone except revenge for the supposed murder of his wife. Sweeney s daughter, Joanna, is his only remaining link to his wife as far as he is aware, yet regardless of that fact, he is more than willing to put her and Anthony directly in harm s way via a cunning plan, so that he may get the opportunity to murder the judge. Sweeney Todd shows absolutely no loyalties to anyone and would go so far as sacrificing the last of his own flesh and blood. Sweeney ignores opportunities to speak with his daughter and even threatens to severe her jugular when he feels she is getting in the way or becoming a risk to him. Mrs. Barker, or Sweeney Todd s wife, is dead as far as he is aware, but he gets into direct confrontations with her numerous times and just pushes her away; blinded to her existence as his long lost wife. Sweeney Todd pays no attention to the identity of the woman whom seems to bother and fondle everyone she meets while begging for change. However, if he hadn t been so distracted with his revenge he might have noticed that thewoman whom stood in front of him was none other than his wife from many years earlier. Discuss various elements of communication and use scenes or aspects from the motion picture to illustrate your view. Communication, by my own means, is a way to for two or more people to interact or influence each other. It is a way of discovering our world without having to travel kilometres or spending millions. Communication is the single most important aspect in our human society, that without it, the chances of survival are finite. After seeing the torment Glass is putting himself through his colleagues simultaneously agree to help him. This shows how Glass would not take no for an answer, and until he gets a response that is in his favor, he is willing to behave in ways that strongly touch people s emotions, causing an immediate feedback. The second element example is source (sender), where the sender attempts to replicate his or her internal thoughts or feelings into someone else by some type of external messaging medium. Every time you would hear a word come out of Glass s mouth his main intent would be to influence some kind of relationship or loyalty. For example in the beginning of the scene when he tells Gloria (an employee at The New Republic ) that she has a nice necklace, or the scene where he is telling his college how he feels as if Chuck Lane (the new head editor of The New Republic ) is trying to remove everyone loyal to Michael Kelly ( the former well loved head editor ) by firing him, are all ways of him building a relationship or loyalty by using common interest between he colleagues even if he has no interest at all. This is his attempt to build an army so when he is ever being chastised he would always have someone there to back him up. Now the last element example is channel, which is the medium of communication in which the message is transferred. • 11. The Stifling Health Concerns Of Dietary Supplements Consumers The lack of regulation in the supplement industry The concoction of deceptive business methods and unrestricted regulations have resulted in detrimental health concerns of dietary supplements consumers. Dietary supplements is virtually unrestricted, and expanding its markets, much like the snake oil medicines of the early 1900s . In 1993, this industry was generating 4 billion a year, by 2003 consumers spent 16.8 billions on supplements, and it is currently at 37 billion a year.(Wingert,1993; Larsen, 2003; Bradley, 2015). This massive industry is gaining popularity from the increasing amount of health enthusiast, and aging population. However due to the introduction of the DSHEA and the limiting of the FDA s regulatory power, this industry has become chaotic, dangerous but highly profitable. Consumers are in danger of ingesting unregulated and potentially dangerous pill, that are marketed to them as nature s cures. The lobbyist and senators pass law in favor of this lucrative industry and it will continue to grow and prospers, until the victimized consumers stand up and strongly voice their opinions. Just like when the industry successfully campaign for supplements and limiting regulations, we consumers should use our democratic voice against the lack of obstacles, and safety measures of supplements. Back in the 1900s, due to the lack of regulations, anything in a bottle can be called medicine. This opportunity led to the creation of many quack doctors , who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. American Art During The Great Depression American Art during the Great Depression and before World War II sought to rebrand and rebuild a broken and desperate nation. In colonies around the country, artists banded together to study and support one another, and U.S. government programs of the WPA, FAP, and FSA provided opportunities for artists to create public works on a scale never seen before in this country. Like the LDS Church Welfare program begun at the same time, these art initiatives revived the individual s dignity in the form of opportunity. The public, too, wanted new art that reflected the turmoil of the country. The nation was hurting, and from this crucible of suffering emerged a body of artwork that documented the common man and woman rural and urban, North and South, the haves and the have nots. Distinct from the romanticized landscapes of the frontier and portraits of wealthy Easterners that proceeded the period, this was art that mattered: it was aimed squarely to uplift and ennoble a battered public. One of the WPA era artists of distinction, whose award winning paintings and prints were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Corcoran Gallery, New York World s Fair, Whitney Museum of American Art, and in galleries in New York, Washington, D.C., St. Louis, San Francisco, and is now in the permanent collections of the National Gallery, the Smithsonian, Carnegie Museum of Art, and St. Louis Art Museum, among others, is Joseph Paul Vorst. • 13. The Darkling Thrush And The Force That Through The Green... Natural instances are prominent in Hardy s The Darkling Thrush and Thomas s The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower . Hardy reminisces over the past while witnessing a changing society while Thomas reminisces over the certain destruction of his youth and vitality, even with different concerns both authors problems are due to passing time. Both poems have a certain contrast when explaining their theme but both are aware of the idea of death being a natural occurrence that awaits all of us. The two author s similarities are highlighted by a look at form, tone, words, and continuous use of nature to depict theme. In The Darkling Thrush the speaker ponders how slow death surrounds him, and how life is diminishing with almost no reason to live in a new era full of dullness. The speaker shows intense reflection over his thoughts and works through his ideas. When the speaker hears a beautiful song coming from a dying bird, his dark realistic perspective of living changes as he sees that the birds last breaths were spent singing a song. He continues to be realistic over the topic of death and not overthink the full hearted evensong (Hardy 615), but the bird gives him a chance to think about something more hopeful in this bleak world. The bird, a thrush which is found in nature symbolizes the natural side of death. Even if it was passing, the bird reflected his soul in song creating the idea of a death just being a lulling moment in a gloom lonely world; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Class Or Socioeconomic Level Analysis Class or socioeconomic level is typically defined as social sets, where each particular group share similar or the same resources, in terms of economical, property, and status (Phillips, 2012). Therefore, it tends to be a rank in accordance to wealth, power, and income, meaning the more you have of each of these the higher the class will be (Lyall, 2016). This idea of class or socioeconomic level has a huge impact on children in the New Zealand education sector, as many policies indirectly effecting education typically advantages the middle class families (Thrupp, 2007). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Class plays a major contributor to the standard of health children bring into the education sector, those from working class families tend to have a lower standard of health than those in middle class families (Brooks Gunn Duncan, 1997). This is due to a number of reasons, all resulting back to the limited access working class families have to needed amenities. Working class are likely to have a limited access to healthy foods, as these foods are typically more expensive (Stephens, Markus, Fryberg, 2012). Therefore, these families receive little nutritional food, which leads to a large amount of diseases and unhealthy habits. Housing also impacts on the health of children which influences on the education sector. This is because working class tends to only have access to a lower quality of housing, these may be houses that are potentially damp, and cold (Childrens Commissioner, 2010). This leads to an unhealthy environment, which causes the children and families to be unwell, therefore lowering their standard of health. Working class also have less access to services such as health care and services (Childrens Commissioner, 2010). The people who survived the destruction of Judah suffered immensely with no rest due to their new lives of hard servitude. This was believed to have happened because rulers or kings had mistreated the children of Israel. It is often necessary to express intense feelings when facing a tragedy, or in order to face a tragedy. Sometimes fears may clearly be recognized as such and confronted openly but other times an outlet is needed in order to release negative emotions, this supports the fact that Lamentations 1 3 and Psalm 137 are both written in the form of poetry (Cook, 44). • 19. The Concept Of Hinduism And Buddhism INTRODUCTION TO THE CONCEPT OF HINDUISM AND BUDDHISM Hinduism is often called one of the oldest living religions or oldest living major traditions amongst other religions still being practiced currently, this is due to the fact that certain elements within Hinduism stretches back for thousands of years. Hinduism is often referred to as Sanatana Dharma , a Sanskrit phrase meaning the eternal law . Also, it does not have a single definition mostly because it holds a vast array of beliefs and also because it can be linked to Buddhism, Jainism etc. Some schools of thoughts do not describe Hinduism as a religion but rather as a way of worship that informs you about the duties, life style and vision of living established in the Indian subcontinent. Hinduism is formed from diverse traditions, as such Hinduism does not have a single founder. Buddhism is a tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development and knowing or attainment of a deeper insight to the true nature of life. Buddhists do not believe in a personal God, instead in Buddhism it is believed that nothing is fixed or permanent and that change is inevitable and always possible. On this particular day, protesters sought to send a message to President Donald Trump regarding women s rights. Known as the Women s March, this event is only one of the more recent examples of large scale protest and dissent on the National Mall. Throughout American history, protest movements have often made their way to Washington, D.C., the capital city and political center of the United States. [and] made the Mall the nation s premier setting for political assembly and protest. More simply, protestors used the glorified sense of union promoted on the Mall to push forward their political dissent. This principle is particularly relevant in understanding the Civil Rights Movement s utilization of the National Mall. In August 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders planned a prayer pilgrimage to the Lincoln Memorial, where King delivered his most famous speech on its steps. King s choice to deliver his speech at this memorial was undeniably deliberate. Abolitionist President Lincoln led the United States through the Civil War and gained a reputation as the man who ended slavery. King s speech, delivered at the memorial that honored that man, outlined the principles of racial equality focusing on many of the shortcomings in American society. King s choice of venue suggested that although the Lincoln Memorial celebrated equality in principle, the United States had a long way to go regarding this issue. This demonstration s use of a feature on the National Mall demonstrated the hypocrisy of it, as the public space honored a doctrine that was not universally practiced in everyday American life. This march was one of the first of its kind, but it was certainly not the last. Throughout the latter half of the twentieth century, demonstrations have utilized features of the National Mall to promote relevant political causes. Summary of an Article: A Qualitative Analysis of the Types of Goals Athletes Set in Training and Competition Validity and Reliability In order for research to be reliable, other researchers must be able to perform the same experiment and achieve the same results (Shuttleworth, 2008). The reliability of this study is unknown at this point. In the past, researchers have used quantitative methods to try to find out the feelings that athletes have had about goal setting. This survey method has increased reliability because it has limited the answer options for the survey respondents. However, the researchers were concerned that the results be generalizable, so they adopted an open ended survey. Athletes completed an open ended questionnaire about the specific types of goals they set. The questionnaire was structured around issues of interest in the present research (e.g., goal setting in training versus competition) and previous findings (e.g., athletes set goals for skill improvement, confidence enhancement, and for outcomes such as winning) (Munroe Chandler et al., 2004). Because it was a qualitative study and the investigators coded responses, examining internal reliability is critical to determine whether or not the study exhibited reliability. The researchers used a constant comparative method to divide transcripts into text units and compare and regroup them. Two researchers independently ranked the responses, and they had 97% agreement on their coding, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It also determines the exact proportion or percentage of scores that fall between any two scores of normally distributed scores. This sounds similar to the standard deviation; however, standard deviations are set values that fall on a distribution; whereas, Z scores or values may lie anywhere on the normally distributed curve. Hold that thought and I will go into greater detail as we progress. Slide 4. The following is a good guideline to understand Z scores and their relationship to standard deviations. Slide 5: Let s look at a normal curve, using Z scores. On the left, we see a distribution title Positive Z. Look at the highlighted area, B, which represents the percentage of scores or values between the mean and a particular Z score above the mean. This Z score represents a positive Z score as it is to the right of the mean. Notice that the area to the left of the mean equals 50% of the scores or values of a variable. Remember we have symmetry of the curve on both sides or 50% of scores or values on both sides. On the right, we see a normal curve with a highlighted area, B, which represents the percentage of scores or values between the mean and a particular Z score below the mean. This represents a negative Z score. Slide 6: Before we move on, it might help you to learn the formula for obtaining a Z score. A Z score equals the raw score of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals sharing a given trait also should or do share other attributes assumed to be associated with aspects such as race, religion, and physical attribute. While stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also influence the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these flawed images, especially in regards to gender stereotypes. Shakespeare s great play Othello uses its main characters to embody the characteristics of the stereotypical females and males according to society s liking. The stereotypical woman is loyal and faithful to her husband, while the male stereotype possesses strength, control, and dominance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option for Othello when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female stereotypes. Without the ability to label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders Desdemona to redeem her from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to alter views that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to comprehend truths unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles. Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona and Othello to display how people become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for them. Therefore, both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented. Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall, flawed views among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction. Othello and Desdemona best exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as pure, compassionate, and understanding towards everyone, especially Othello. Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about females is valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

More importantly task J the final task in the project network diagram has a value of 0 and a LF of 39 which would not be met because of the delay. Scenario 4 The duration for task C is reduced by 25%: Because task C has a slack value of 0 reducing its duration time from 12 weeks to 8 weeks would pose a threat to the project completion time line. However, since task D has a slack value of 13 and starts in week 8 along with task C, the project manager can utilize the slack time available within task D to shift resource to assist in completed task C in 8 weeks. This action will keep the project completion date from slipping from its original completion date in week 39. Our final exercise will include a brief discussion on risk management. After analyzing the data tasks C, F, and H pose a potential risk to the project as there is no slack available. • 47. Archetypes In Cinderella The Conflict of Good and Evil; An Analysis of Significant Archetypes in Cinderella The struggle between good and evil is the primal conflict of the mind, but it is the choices we make that let us overcome this conflict for the better. The age old tale of Cinderella utilizes this concept and illustrates a brilliant story about a young woman struggling to achieve true love while simultaneously enduring arbitrary abuse from her stepmother. Regarding this, the more recent film adaption of the story directed by Kenneth Branagh extends the same plot into a more symbolic and archetypical piece. Accordingly, the movie Cinderella, effectively applies several aspects of archetypes from Jung s literary theory to demonstrate how good always triumphs over evil. The use of significant archetypes such as the hero looking for true love, a supernatural intervention, and the devil figure, all contribute to expanding on this theme. Primarily, the heroine looking for love is one of the most substantial character archetypes that influence the development of the story s charming plot. Specifically, this archetype applies to the main character; Cinderella, who is purely influenced by the love she has for the Prince. Despite the barrage of unrelenting abuse from her stepmother, Ella strongly believes that the prince will return her feelings, which motivates her to plough through her constraints with the aid of her Fairy God Mother. Regarding this, the antagonist represents the evil in the way of the protagonist; Cinderella, which is why when she is defeated, it further accentuates the idea of good triumphing over evil. Overall, using the Hero as lover archetype, the theme of the story is enhanced and portrayed effectively. Moreover, the supernatural intervention is a slightly less prevalent yet noteworthy symbolic archetype that aids the closure of the plot. The Fairy God Mother falls under this example due to her role in assisting the protagonist with her divine and magical powers; explicitly, equipping Cinderella with a dress, a chariot, and her iconic glass shoes. The Godmother is a spiritual being who only awakens after realizing Ella s extreme desperation, she promptly aids her with any necessary gifts which allows her to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 49. The Effects of Feudalism Essay In Medieval times during the 10th and 13th centuries, a form of political and social organization called feudalism was a way of life that had great effect on people of the time and on the modern world. Feudalism was developed because of the weakness of Europe and it s kings. The word feudalism comes from the word fief, which was the land held on condition of feudal service, similar to an estate (English). The fiefs bound together lords and vassals. Feudalism was a structure in which a lord divided his land into smaller parts to give to lesser lords ( Feudalism ). A noble, or lord, was in control of his manor. Life as a serf or peasant was not easy. Serfs were bound to their lord s land and required to do services for him. They went through difficult hardship because of this. Peasants were heavily taxed and had to provide for themselves the goods that they needed ( The Middle Ages ). According to the medieval law, the peasants were not considered to belong to themselves ( The Middle Ages ). Although serfs were peasants and had relatively the same duties and similar rights, what differentiated a peasant from a serf was that a peasant was not bound to the land ( The Middle Ages ). Peasants had no schooling and no knowledge of the outside world (Ellis and Esler 219 244). They rarely traveled more than a couple miles outside of their villages. All members of a peasant family, including children, tended crops, farmed, and did some sort of work to help out (Ellis and Esler 224). Very few peasants lived past the age of 35 because of hunger in the winter and the easy development and transmission of disease (Ellis and Esler 224). Women in this time lived a hard life as well.
