2.  My chosen genre was Indie/Indie Pop. I had
chosen this style as although it isn't mainstream, it
is still an increasingly popular music genre with
millions of fans, therefore targeting a lot of people
in a growing market. Moreover, the 'indie pop'
element of the magazine allows it to be accessible
to both fans who are indie/love the indie genre,
plus people who like more mainstream pop but
may also like some indie elements and songs too.
The main factor affecting the target audience of my
magazine is interests, and my magazine is suitable
for all ages however is specifically targeted at 13-
30s. It is suitable for either gender.

5. These are two typical user profiles of people from my target audience.
These are the kind of people who would probably read my magazine, as
their interests and music taste fit the indie genre. They are also quite young
which would be the main demographic of my readers (although it is suited
for everyone). Using this I can tell the typical likes and dislikes of people
who fit my target audience, therefore I can include these things into my
magazine and know what type of thing to avoid. I would do this as I would
want my target audience to feel like the editor knows them and that the
magazine is tailored to their needs.
