2. What social group does it represent?
My magazine is aimed at people who love metal
music. The music dictates their whole lives;
what they wear, who they are friends with
what they read and even where they go.
These people are wrongly and stereotypically
labelled as ‘Moshers’, ‘Goths’ or ‘Metalheads’.
3. The magazine puts across the attitude that is often associated with heavy
metal music and the lifestyle that goes with it.
4. My magazine relates to the social stereotype
because it gives them information on the
bands they like, the concerts and news about
new music.
The colour scheme may appeal because it is
dark and the overall look give it the metal feel.
The images used convey the attitude and the
audience may be able to identify with this.
5. My magazine also represents the
lifestyle of people who listen to
metal music.
For example, the aggressive nature
of the concerts where many people
often get hurt but it is part of the
experience and for a lot of people it
is fun.
