Assure Method Assignment
Teaching the months of the year:
1st grade special ed
10 boys and 7 girls
70% white, 20% African American, 10% Latino
7 have ADHD
A: slow learning, lack of skills, different genders and cultures
S: students will learn the months of the year by singing and dacing to educational songs and
coloring activities
S: will use the computer and projector
U: make sure the computer and projector work, watch the videos before teaching with them
R: be able to recite out loud the months along with coloring sheets
E: see how well the students are learning
In order for these students to learn the months of the year, they will sing and dance to videos
about the months. Students will also use coloring activities as a fun and learning way to
remember the months of the year. After one month, there will be an 95% accuracy of being
able to recite the months of the year in the correct order.
