2. To create the lightsabre glow effect, it is very similar to the way the lightsabre is created itself. The first step is to create a new solid
and place it above the original video clip.
3. However, unlike the lightsabre creation, this solid must be the colour of the lightsabre, so that it seems like the glow is coming from
the lightsabre itself.
4. Once the solid is created, the next step is to create a basic outline of the glow and cover the parts of the body that are going to be
affected by it. Since its close to the neck and the short, I created the outline over those parts.
5. After the outline is done, it will provide a chance to see whether the outline covers the parts that you want to be covered and allows
for you to re arrange any points that are not in the correct place.
6. Now that the outline is done, I again experimented with the Mask Feather to change the opacity of the shape and to make it look
more natural.
7. Just like the lightsabres, I enabled Mask Path to be able to place the shape in different positions over the course of the timeline, so it
changes as the person or the lightsabre moves. Again, this is a time consuming step as it has to be done for every frame until the last
frame.
8. The end result is a nice, smooth glow onto a surface that seems to be given off by the lightsabre, creating the illusion that it is real
and actually giving off a glow.
