According to the District of Columbia, all the jurisdictions require Physician assistants to pass the
Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination, that is administered the National Commission
on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA). The admission into an accredited PAs program
requires a multi–step application process and it could include personal responses or even letters of
recommendation. There are some of the PAs programs that require PAs to take the Medical College

Growth trends in this field are very broad. Billing specialist, patient account representative, claims
processor, analyst, auditor, collector and reviewer are only some of the many options available and
require additional specific certification and training. The average salary for medical billers ranges
mid $30,000 to lower $40,000 (Salary.com, 2011), but depending on certain factors, can excel
beyond this. Additionally, medical billers must also have solid personal skills; customer service,

Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. My eyes started to lose the strength to stay open and my vision began to
blur. The tight grip I had on the anesthesiologist's hand slowly withered away.
As an active thirteen–year–old who spent his afternoons and weekends playing basketball, I was
taken aback when I first heard of my atrial septal defect and inevitable open heart surgery. I could
not fathom being away from the court for so long. But what seemed like the end of my passion for
basketball ultimately lead to a new passion – to become a physician assistant.
Throughout my experience as a surgical patient, I always noticed three things my medical team
never failed to perform: inform, educate, and care for me. Through my frequent visits to the hospital
I began to notice that these ideals were essential in every successful physician–patient relationship.
As I progressed in my career as a student, I came to realize that the academic and extracurricular
activities I was involved in were helping me perform those very qualities. I vividly remember sitting
next to my doctor with my knees trembling as he tried to explain my condition. I realized that the
ability to advise a young, scared, or uninformed individual was an indispensable tool to any

Being involved groups is essential to everyday living and many of us will belong to a variety of
groups at the same time. For example, families, social, sports, support, learning management and
committees groups. A group is "a small, face–to–face collection of persons who interact to
accomplish some purpose" (Schriver, 1998). In other words, a group is collection of diverse people
with common characteristics or purpose. A group can consist of any number of people from any

The reason I say this is because they work hard to develop a safe living environment for the students
that attend Delaware State University. The Department of Housing and Residential Education hire
RAs, SRA's, and RD'S to help execute the plans for providing a health living environment by giving
each group a set of tasks. RA are tasked with the job to help the students on a peer, and one–on–one
level, assist them in their studies, and provide encouragement in the tasks they want to accomplish,
also as well help seek and provide resource for them to use on campus. As and RD they are task
with the job to provide a safe, health, problem free living information and answer any question
regarding the stability of the Resident Buildings. As for SRA's they serve as the bridge between
