Task 31
1.
2. I first changed the brightness and contrast levels so the model didn’t look
orange because of the lighting which was really poor.
3. I then used the crop tool to crop my image down to the right size. I did
this because I didn’t need all of the picture so this was really quick to
do.
4. I then cut out my image using the pen tool. I did this because I didn’t want
the background as I didn’t like the lighting or the curtain in the background
so the pen tool helped me cut around the image closely.
5. I then decided what colour background I wanted for my advert. I did this by
using the bucket tool which was simple and quick and extremely effective.
6. Lastly, I started adding my text. I did this by using the text tool and changed
the colour of my text again using the bucket tool. I also used the custom
shapes tool to make the stars at the top right of the screen and changed the
colour to match my colour theme.
7. First, I started by cropping the model out using the pen tool. I did this
because I didn’t want the background as it was blurry and there was
photographs in the picture which is what I didn’t want. Also, I change the
Hue/Saturation and the Colour Contrast so that the model wasn’t orange
which was because of the lighting.
8. I then decided to create my new background. I decided to have a dark pink
background as it brought out the model well and it matched my theme
well. For this I used the bucket tool and was very quick and really
effective.
9. I then decided that the background was a bit plain so I decided to put multi-
coloured stripes in front of the pink background, but let it show through. I
then started putting my text in. I again put the title at the top of the page
so that I stood out from the rest of the writing which I was going to add in
later. I then put the stars which was on the previous advert which shows the
charity’s colours which I did by using the custom shapes tool.
10. I then carried on putting the rest of my text on my advert using the text tool
and using the bucket tool again to make the colour match my colour theme.
I also put a white banner across the top and the bottom of the advert to put
some of my text in the make them stand out. I did this by using the select
tool to select the bit that I wanted then I used the bucket tool to fill in the
colour that I wanted which I decided on a white banner.
11. I then put in my charity’s logo and I put some information about the shop on
my advert. I did this to show that the shop would be a new shop and that it
was for a real charity which was ‘Winston’s Wish.’
12. First I stared by third advert with cutting out my model using the pen tool. I
did this again because I didn’t want the background as it was blurry and
there was photographs in the picture which is what I didn’t want. Then I
also changed the Hue/Saturation and the Colour Contrast so that the model
wasn’t orange which was because of the lighting.
13. I then decided to create my background. I decided to make this advert
completely different from the rest by having a blue/purple background
instead of a pink one like in the previous adverts. I did this by selecting
which part I wanted to be a certain colour and used the bucket tool to fill I
in. I also used an effect to put a ‘sparkle in the top and bottom right of my
advert. I did this because I thought it would be effective and help to bring
colour into my advert.
14. I then put my title onto my advert. I decided to keep it at the top of the
page like the previous adverts because I felt like it was really effective and
that it stood out well. I did this again by using the text tool. I also used the
custom shape tool to put in the stars which have been in all of my adverts. I
did this because I felt like it represented by charity well because it was my
charity’s colours.
15. I then started adding the rest of my text by using the text tool. I again used
the bucket tool to change the colour of my text to my charity’s colours by
using the bucket tool as I felt like it was really effective and brought the
whole advert together.
16. I then added the information needed which was the logo and telling the
reading that there was a new shop opening soon. I did this again to show
that the shop would be a new shop and that it was for a real charity which
was ‘Winston’s Wish.’
