2. Digipak - Giggs
The name in the Album of this
digipak is made very clear to
the audience, this is done by
the contrast in colours.
The digipak is made up of
mainly dark colours where as
the font is red which makes it
stand out quite clearly
compared to the rest of the
picture.
The cartoon version of him
stands out as having lights
coming from around him
suggest he is unique and
different from other artists
which makes the audience want
to listen to his music.
The way he is looking
towards a block of flats
may be done to suggest
he remembers his old
lifestyle and would like
to let his audiences
aware of it and let them
know that he has
worked to achieve his
success
The people behind him who are dressed up in black
suggest that they're his gang where as he is in blue
unlike them which shows that he is the leader and
the most important
The Graffiti on the building
shows what his up bringing
may have been like.
3. Digipak – Tinie Tempah
The use of bright colours and
sparkles stands out to the
audience. This shows the pop
genre as these conventions
can be associated with
clubbing or dancing and
having fun.
The artist has got New York
city in his arms, he is implying
that he is in control of the city
and is above all of the other
rappers in the city.
The light shining down on
him and glowing around him
also highlights that he is in
his own league.
Tinie Tempah is positioned in
the middle of the cover, this
makes it clear that he is the
main focus of the CD cover,
showing his importance to the
audience.
He is also wearing sunglasses,
which is a trend which many
rappers follow.
His watch is showing off
his wealth and success
4. Advert – Kano Method to the Maadness
He has collaborations with many other
British hip hop artists as he knows that
they are highly popular and this will make
people more interested and willing to buy
his album.
The main title is in a bold font as
implies to us how he is trying to
make a statement with this album
and really wants to stamp his mark
on the genre.
The gold chain is in this advert
so that Kano can show off his
wealth and success. Also a gold
chain is a key convention of the
British hip hop genre.
The font of the album is different
from the rest of the the writing as he
is trying to show that he is different
from other artists and brand himself
in the music industry.
He lists all of his social media
platforms with links to them so
people can find out more
information about him and his
gigs.
He lists when this album will be
available so that people can
know when they can buy it.
5. Advert – WretchRospective
The title of the album is called
Wretchrospective which is quite
distinctive and an unusual name. A
lot of artist these days are using
their name or stage name and
conjoining is with a bold statement
word.
Below the name of the album he has intentionally
made sure that he is trying to get as much
recognition as possible. He has collaboration with
many underground grime artists as he knows that
they are highly popular and this will make people
more interested and willing to buy his album.
The release date looks like has been
stamped onto the page which makes it
stand out. The font style of this is quite
bold and draws attention from the
audience.
He has made it clearly visible
to the audience on where his
record label is going to be
available from so that people
can buy it.
There is paint running
downwards on the block of
flats and down Wretch 32’s
neck. This once again refers
back to what it would be
considered as Bad Behavior
which it seems to me like he
is trying to promote to his
audience.
Wretch 32 is an upcoming artist and
seems to keep up this attitude of which
most artists have today. He is using an
informal approach as he is looking away
as if to show that he doesn’t really care
and feels that he doesn’t need to
engage eye contact with the audience.
