• A marketing strategy that is used by the mayflower commonly especially seen
being used for the upcoming show of the Bodyguard is offering packages for
examples offering three course meals for an extended price but its also not only
promoting the show experience but the costumer WOW of the mayflower.
• A common marketing technique is to have many memorable slogans said by a
critic or a reviewer.so people will remember the same and to buy a ticket because
its been reviewed highly, for example for “The Bodyguard” it is “The hottest Ticket
in town” rated 5 star by the Sunday Mirror.
• They also use traditional methods of sending programmes of “what's on” at the
mayflower, for example I have a programme put through my door February time
about what is on towards the mid and end of the year.
4. MARKETING
Forest Forge use many different marketing techniques many of which are social media, Instagram and
Facebook are 2 of the main social media outlets forest forge use to get there shows and events out there,
They also use traditional marketing methods of using posters and billboards around Ringwood to let people
know of there shows. The main way that forest forge let people know about there marketing methods is by
contacts. Forest forge have a wide range of friends from school heads to mayors and the general public. It is
mostly reliant on people getting the word out as the venue at forge is relatively small. Forge also work
closely with other smaller theatre companies as well as touring a lot. So they let there audience know in
advance about where and when there shows will be held as well as any shows or pieces they are influencing.
Forest Forge also have a website in which they release new information about upcoming events and how to
take part in the youth or act your age theatre. There is also adequate information about how to find Forest
Forge. The Marketing manager of Forest Forge is Laura Beam.
5. • Both Forest Forge and the mayflower are very different styles of
advertising there shows not because they have a certain opinion on
whether there's is better than the other but because of budget as forest
forge is a local theatre company and applies mostly to people in the local
are in other words a niche audience. Whereas The mayflower is a big
theatre which applies to a bigger area which intern applies to a mass
audience so it needs to use marketing methods which will make it certain
that as many people as possible have seen it which will increase there
ticket prices. Both companies use advertising to what is best for there
show and what would fit in there budget.
