2. This would be a perfect place to
shoot a shot of our artist
moving away down the path
If we are going to use this location a tripod is essential as it is
on a slope and we would need the camera to be steady in
order to get the full potential of this location.
A danger could be that it is wet
and it may be icy causing
slipping which would lead to
injury
3. Folk Digipak’s mostly have a show of the
countryside on there albums, mainly to show
what style/genre of music it is going to be. We
took that information on board when we were
recceing an open field, this location would be
great to go on the inner of the digipak and the
only equipment which would be needed would
be a camera (preferably one with a good lens)
A safety would be snakes if the weather is hot. A
way to avoid this is to rather film on a darker
day or be very careful on where we stand and
stick to the small footpath
Top photo: Would be excellent to use
as background for the front cover
our artist could stand in the centre
and pose. A tripod would be very
useful in this scenario as the terrain
is on slope. A risk would be that
there are many stinging nettles
around which could cause injury
during a shoot. We would avoid this
by standing away from them, the
photo above in particular we would
stand away from them closer
towards the camera.
4. This location is just outside of Crane Valley
golf course and as shown in the picture
would be an excellent place to shoot for a
folk/pop Digipak. However the location and
had many safety hazards which we had to be
wary of. The main issue being falling in the
river. This could lead to very severe problems
and risks such as injury and worse drowning.
The main way to avoid this is to not lean
over or be to close to the edge. It is also very
slippy around the river area so it is vital that
the crew maintain a safe distance from the
river edge as there is a slope which could
lead to crew slipping in during the photo
shoot.
An issue with the area is that the only good
place to take photos from is a fair distance
from where I would like our artist to stand
meaning that a reasonably sized lens would
be needed to film in this location as well as a
tripod to maintain the focus of the camera.
We would shoot from this location on the
bank facing towards the bridge, the camera
will be slightly tilted as the bridge is higher
up than the side of the river, this would also
add to the effect of the photo.
5. This location was taken on a hill in dewlands common, the area is very open and you can see
a fair distance which would be perfect for a shot of our Artist looking into the distance. It
would also link to the album name “Wanting to Summit”. The terrain is filled with potholes
and overgrown path ways which could cause an issue. The best way to avoid a potential
injury is to warn the crew of the issue and walk slowly and carefully to avoid any problems.
Another risk is that if it’s a sunny day
(or even if it isn't) we need to be
watchful for snakes or anything which
could cause harm to our crew
members the best way to avoid this
issue is that I would walk in front of
the group and walk safely and
carefully to check if there will be an
obstruction as well as keeping the
crew on footpaths as frequently as we
can to minimize the time we are at
risk.
