Equinix to Expand Canadian Operations with US$750 Million Acquisition of 13
Bell Data Center Sites
Equinix, Inc., the global interconnection and data Center Company announced it has
entered into a definitive agreement to purchase a portfolio of 13 data centers across
Canada from BCE Inc. for US$750 million in an all-cash transaction. The 13 data
center sites, which represent 25 Bell data center facilities1, are expected to generate
approximately US$105 million annualized revenue, which represents a purchase
multiple of approximately 15x EV / adjusted EBITDA. The acquisition is expected to
close in 2H 2020, subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory
approval, and it is expected to be immediately accretive to Equinix's adjusted funds
from operations per share upon close, excluding integration costs. The addition of
these strategic assets, their associated operations and the more than 600 customers
operating within the data centers will further strengthen Equinix's global platform,
which currently includes more than 210 data centers across 55 metros. It will benefit
businesses by: increasing interconnection within Canada and between Canada and
the rest of the world, opening seven new metros in six provinces to extend the digital
edge of Platform Equinix®, and adding key customers in strategic sectors to further
increase the value of the ecosystem available at Equinix.

Slack Announces Record First Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Results
First Quarter Fiscal 2021 Financial Highlights:
• Total revenue was $201.7 million, an increase of 50% year-over-year.
• Calculated Billings was $206.0 million, an increase of 38% year-over-year.
• GAAP gross profit was $176.0 million, or 87.3% gross margin, compared to $116.2 million, or
86.2% gross margin, in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020. Non-GAAP gross profit was $179.2
million, or 88.9% gross margin, compared to $116.9 million, or 86.7% gross margin, in the first
quarter of fiscal year 2020.
• GAAP operating loss was $76.2 million, or 37.8% of total revenue, compared to a $38.4 million
loss in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020, or 28.5% of total revenue. Non-GAAP operating loss
was $16.6 million, or 8.3% of total revenue, compared to a $33.8 million loss in the first quarter
of fiscal year 2020, or 25.0% of total revenue.
• GAAP net loss per basic and diluted share was $0.13. Non-GAAP net loss per share was $0.02.
• Net cash provided by operations was $8.7 million, or 4% of total revenue, compared to cash
used in operations of $14.1 million, or 10% of total revenue, for the first quarter of fiscal year
2020. Free Cash Flow was $3.7 million, or 2% of total revenue, compared to $(34.2) million, or
(25)% of total revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.

Zoom Reports First Quarter Results for Fiscal Year 2021
First Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Financial Highlights:
• Revenue: Total revenue for the quarter was $328.2 million, up 169% year-over-year.
• Income from Operations and Operating Margin: GAAP income from operations for the quarter was $23.4
million, compared to GAAP income from operations of $1.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.
After adjusting for stock-based compensation expense and related payroll taxes and expenses related to
charitable donation of common stock, non-GAAP income from operations for the first quarter was $54.6
million, up from $8.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020. For the first quarter, GAAP operating
margin was 7.1% and non-GAAP operating margin was 16.6%.
• Net Income and Net Income Per Share: GAAP net income attributable to common stockholders for the
quarter was $27.0 million, or $0.09 per share, compared to GAAP net income attributable to common
stockholders of $0.2 million, or $0.00 per share in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.
• Non-GAAP net income for the quarter was $58.3 million, after adjusting for stock-based compensation
expense and related payroll taxes, expenses related to charitable donation of common stock, and
undistributed earnings attributable to participating securities. Non-GAAP net income per share was $0.20.
• Cash: Total cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities as of April 30, 2020 was $1.1 billion.
• Cash Flow: Net cash provided by operating activities was $259.0 million for the quarter, compared to
$22.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020. Free cash flow was $251.7 million, compared to $15.3
million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.

New Ericsson RAN Compute baseband makes embracing 5G easier

The move to 5G technology has just become easier for communications service providers following the launch of a new
Ericsson Radio Access Network Compute baseband that significantly boosts mobile network capacity and efficiency.
Baseband 6648, the latest addition to Ericsson’s RAN Compute portfolio, became commercially available in May. As a
next-generation baseband for LTE and New Radio, it enables up to three times greater capacity than existing Ericsson
basebands with proven industry-leading energy efficiency. Baseband 6648 has been optimized to fit all site types and
traffic scenarios, supporting 4G, 5G New Radio and IoT. It has a maximum throughput of 10-15Gbps in downlink and
3Gbps in uplink. To put that in context: a throughput of 10 Gbps enables a 4K movie to be downloaded in less than 30
seconds. It would also enable about 1,700 movies to be streamed simultaneously. Telstra in Australia and Telia in Sweden
are longstanding partners of Ericsson who have successfully deployed the new RAN Compute baseband in their
commercial networks.

require zero maintenance, and can be 50 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than standard active air conditioning units. They offer operators
