AT&T Reports Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year Results
Consolidated Financial Results
• AT&T’s consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter totaled $45.7 billion versus $46.8 billion in the year-ago quarter.
• Operating expenses were $56.4 billion versus $41.5 billion in the year-ago quarter. Expenses increased due to higher non-cash asset impairments and
abandonments (including $15.5 billion for the Video business), higher domestic wireless equipment costs and higher HBO Max investments.
• Operating income/(loss) was ($10.7) billion versus $5.3 billion in the year-ago quarter due to the non-cash asset impairments in the quarter and the
impact of lower revenues. Operating income margin was (23.5%) versus 11.4% in the year-ago quarter.
• Fourth-quarter net loss attributable to common stock was ($13.9) billion, or ($1.95) per common share, versus net income attributable to common
stock of $2.4 billion, or $0.33 per diluted common share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusting for $2.70, which includes asset impairments, an actuarial loss on
benefit plans, merger-amortization costs and other items, earnings per diluted common share was $0.75 compared to an adjusted $0.89 in the year-ago
quarter. The company did not adjust for COVID-19 impacts of ($0.08): $0.01 incremental cost reductions and ($0.09) of estimated revenues.
• Cash from operating activities was $10.1 billion, and capital expenditures were $2.4 billion. Gross capital investment – which consists of capital
expenditures, cash payments for vendor payments and excludes FirstNet reimbursements – totaled $4.3 billion. Capital investment – which consists of
capital expenditures plus cash payments for vendor financing – totaled $3.4 billion, which includes $1.0 billion of cash payments for vendor financing and
$920 million of FirstNet reimbursements.
• Free cash flow – cash from operating activities minus capital expenditures – was $7.7 billion for the quarter. Net debt declined by $1.6 billion
sequentially in the quarter, and net debt to adjusted EBITDA at the end of the fourth quarter was 2.70x.7
Full-Year Results
• For full-year 2020 when compared with 2019 results, AT&T's consolidated revenues totaled $171.8 billion versus $181.2 billion.
• Operating expenses were $165.4 billion in 2020 compared with $153.2 billion in 2019, primarily due to non-cash asset impairments and
abandonments that were $17.4 billion higher than in 2019, costs relating to launching and operating HBO Max, higher domestic wireless equipment costs,
incremental COVID-19 costs, higher severance charges, and higher subscriber acquisition and fulfillment costs.
• Compared with results from 2019, operating income was $6.4 billion, down 77.1% primarily due to higher asset impairments and abandonments and
COVID-19 impacts; and operating income margin was 3.7% versus 15.4%. With adjustments for both years, operating income was $34.1 billion versus
$38.6 billion in 2019, and operating income margin was 19.8% versus 21.3%.
• 2020 net loss attributable to common stock was ($5.4) billion, or ($0.75) per common share, versus net income attributable to common stock of $13.9
billion, or $1.89 per diluted common share, in 2019. With adjustments for both years, earnings per diluted common share was $3.18 compared to $3.57 in
2019.
• Cash from operating activities was $43.1 billion, and capital expenditures were $15.7 billion. Gross capital investment – which includes capital
expenditures, cash payments for vendor financing and excludes FirstNet reimbursements – was $19.7 billion.
Executive Commentary
“We ended the year with strong momentum in our market focus areas of broadband connectivity and software-based entertainment,” said AT&T CEO.
“By investing in our high-quality wireless customer base, we had our best full-year of postpaid phone net adds in a decade and our second lowest
postpaid phone churn ever. Our fiber broadband net adds passed the 1 million mark for the year. And the release of Wonder Woman 1984 helped drive
our domestic HBO Max and HBO subscribers to more than 41 million, a full two years faster than our initial forecast.”

Select Balance Sheet Items
• Q2 ending cash balance was $184.0 million, a decrease of $9.1 million from the end of Q1. This was primarily driven by
cash usage of $42.5 million for financing activities, primarily due to full repayment of our revolving credit facility and principal
payments on our term loan, along with $5.0 million for capital expenditures, partially offset by operating cash flow generation
of $38.0 million.
• Q2 ending inventory was $49.9 million, a decrease of $5.9 million from Q1 and a decrease of $29.8 million from Q2 last
year. The year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter decreases in inventory largely reflects improved demand planning, SKU
rationalization and higher inventory turnover.
• Q2 ending gross debt* was $356.3 million, a decrease of $39.8 million from the prior quarter. The decrease reflects the
principal debt payment of approximately $4.8 million and payments of $35.0 million on the revolving credit facility. The $19.0
million decrease from Q2 last year resulted primarily from principal debt payments. Net debt* of $172.3 million decreased by
$30.6 million from $202.9 million in Q1.
Executive Commentary
"We delivered another strong quarter from a financial and business perspective, despite the challenging environment. We
want to thank our customers for their trust in Extreme, and our partners and employees for their amazing performance and
perseverance this quarter," stated President and CEO of Extreme. The competitive differentiation of our cloud platform,
ExtremeCloud IQ, is becoming more pronounced with nearly 1.5 million connected networking devices, up 8%
sequentially, and active customer accounts up 4% sequentially, and new cloud subscription bookings growth of 140%
year-over-year, reflecting our market share gains during the quarter. We are well positioned in the market and continue to
see the acceleration of our customers' digital transformation, along with rising demand for more intuitive management of
increasingly distributed networks, as driving the growth of our business.”

F5 to Acquire Volterra to Create the First Edge 2.0 Platform for Enterprises and
Service Providers
F5 Networks the leader in application security and delivery, and Volterra, the first
universal edge-as-a-service platform, announced a definitive agreement under which F5
will acquire all issued and outstanding shares of privately held Volterra for
approximately $440 million in cash and approximately $60 million in deferred
consideration and assumed unvested incentive compensation to founders and employees.
With the addition of Volterra’s technology platform, F5 is creating an edge platform built
for enterprises and service providers that will be security-first and app-driven with
unlimited scale. In connection with the transaction, F5 raised its Horizon 2 (fiscal years
2021 and 2022) and long-term revenue outlook, and reiterated its Horizon 2 operating
targets, including its commitment to achieving double-digit non-GAAP earnings per
share growth. The company also reiterated its commitment to return $1 billion of capital
over the next two years, including the initiation of a $500 million accelerated share
repurchase in fiscal year 2021. In addition, F5 released a preview of its first quarter fiscal
year 2021 financial results stating it expects GAAP and non-GAAP revenue in a range of
$623 to $626 million, driven in part, by approximately 68% GAAP, and 70% non-GAAP,
software revenue growth.
Executive Commentary
“Current edge solutions are simply inadequate for enterprise customers. It’s time to
break out of closed edge systems that only perpetuate the pain of building, running,
and securing apps,” said, President and CEO, F5. “With Volterra, we advance our
Adaptive Applications vision with an Edge 2.0 platform that solves the complex
multi-cloud reality enterprise customers confront. Our platform will create a SaaS
solution that solves our customers’ biggest pain points. The success of F5’s software
transformation has put us in a position to deliver on the potential of Edge 2.0 and
redefine our competitive position.”

F5 Completes Acquisition of Volterra
F5 Networks the leader in application security and delivery, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Volterra, the first
universal edge-as-a-service platform. With the addition of Volterra’s technology, F5 is creating an edge platform built for
enterprises and service providers that will be security-first and app-driven with unlimited scale. Volterra’s unique multi-cloud
technology solves key edge and security problems and has allowed it to quickly gain more than fifty enterprise customers,
including three of the top fifteen global telcos.
The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0 Platform
The modern edge has been evolving for more than twenty years. The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0 platform will be designed to address
challenges found with current edge solutions that are built on CDNs and have limited security features. This new
enterprise-focused edge is security-first and app-driven, with unlimited scale.
• Security-first. The sophistication of cybercriminals and nation states has increased to the point that commodity security
is no longer capable of effectively protecting enterprises. F5+Volterra’s Edge 2.0 platform will deliver the full range of F5’s
industry-leading security products in a SaaS model. F5’s AI technology for fraud and abuse protection—the primary line of
cyberdefense for the majority of the largest banks, airlines, and federal agencies—will be made easily deployable by any
enterprise.
• App-driven. The edge should meet the requirements of the app, not the other way around. The Volterra platform is based
on industry-standard containers, enabling enterprises to “build once, deploy globally,” rather than rewriting code based on a
closed edge provider’s constraints. F5 simplifies operations to accelerate time-to-market and lower cost of ownership,
powering more than 70% of the world’s top 10,000 websites and 48 of the Fortune 50.
• Unlimited scale. Third-party CDNs cannot match the scale and capital investment of the public clouds of Amazon,
Microsoft, and Google; nor can a single public cloud match the scale of all clouds combined. The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0
platform represents the first open edge architecture, enabling DevOps and developer teams to seamlessly shift workloads across
clouds and even to data centers, without reimplementation or retooling, enabling the largest scale and best performance
possible.
Executive Commentary
“Current edge approaches were not designed with enterprises in mind,” said founder of Volterra. “When Harshad and I
started Volterra, we knew the edge would need to be delivered with the scale of public clouds, but with management and
security integrated with the data centers where so many enterprise apps still live. Given F5’s leadership in Adaptive
Applications and their vast enterprise customer base, I could not imagine a better partner to empower customers’business
transformation through modern apps.”

Intel Invests Additional $475 Million in Vietnam
Intel Corporation announced it has invested a further US$475 million in Intel
Products Vietnam (IPV). This new investment is in addition to Intel’s US$1 billion
investment to build a state-of-the-art chip assembly and test manufacturing facility in
Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP), first announced in 2006. This takes Intel’s total
investment in its Vietnam facility to US$1.5 billion. Intel Products Vietnam is an
important part of Intel’s worldwide manufacturing presence. As Intel redefines its
position in the industry from a CPU to a multi-architecture XPU company, IPV will
continue to diversify and improve its local operations so that it can take on more
complex technologies and new products to enable Intel to tap new market
opportunities. Intel’s additional investment of US$475 million was made between
June 2019 and December 2020, and helped enhance manufacturing of Intel’s 5G
products, Intel® Core™ processors with Intel® Hybrid Technology and 10th Gen
Intel Core processors. IPV is the largest assembly and test manufacturing facility in
the Intel assembly and test network. It has more than 2,700 employees and serves
customers around the world. IPV is one of 10 manufacturing sites that Intel has
globally and remains the largest U.S. high-tech investment in Vietnam.
Executive Commentary
“As of the end of 2020, Intel Products Vietnam has shipped more than 2 billion
units to customers worldwide. We’re very proud of this milestone, which shows
both how important IPV is to helping Intel meet the needs of its customers all
around the world, and why we continue to invest in our facilities and team here
in Vietnam.” –vice president of Manufacturing and Operations and general

Arm launched its latest mobile solution, providing partners with greater performance and efficiency, combined with security and system improvements across the entire system-on-chip (SoC). Leveraging a Total Compute approach
meant improved real-world use cases on mobile, offering end-users higher quality experiences, and developers the ability to create enhanced applications for the 5G era. this technology has become a reality on silicon, with Arm’s
next-generation mobile solution at the heart of the newly announced Exynos 2100. The new SoC adopts the powerful Arm Cortex-X1 CPU in a tri-cluster octa-core configuration alongside the Arm Cortex-A78 CPU, as well as the
Arm Mali-G78 GPU, and optimized for 5nm to support faster, better, and longer mobile experiences. Arm’s longstanding partnership with Samsung Electronics’ System LSI business demonstrates how technological innovation, and
a shared vision for pushing the boundaries of mobile, can make new mobile experiences a reality.
The octa-core CPU configuration
The Cortex-X1 is Arm’s most powerful CPU to date and the first from the Cortex-X Custom (CXC) program. It gives our partners greater flexibility and scalability to increase peak performance relative to our standard CPUs. While
the Cortex-X1 is all about maximum performance, the Cortex-A78 is our most efficient CPU ever designed for mobile. The Exynos 2100’s tri-cluster octa-core CPU configuration combines a Cortex-X1 core, alongside 3x

Legacy Security Architectures Threaten to Disrupt the Remote Workforce,
Finds Cato Networks Survey
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
18
Solution Description
Cato Networks, the provider of the world’s first SASE platform, released the findings of its fifth annual IT survey, The Future of Enterprise Networking and Security: Are You
Ready for the Next Leap? With 2,376 IT leaders participating, the survey provides detailed insight into how IT organizations responded to the pandemic and their plans for
2021. Protecting the remote workforce will be enterprises’ prime focus in 2021. IT teams struggled in the early days of the pandemic, rushing to meet the urgent need for
widespread remote access. Connecting users often came at the expense of other factors, such as security, performance, and management. As most respondents (81%) expect to
continue working-from-home (WFH), 2021 will see enterprises address those other areas, evolving their remote access architectures to protect the remote workforce without
compromising on the user experience.
Survey Highlights
• Enterprises will continue working remotely: Only 7 percent of respondents indicated that everyone will move back to the office. More than half (80%) indicated their
companies will continue with a remote workforce in whole or in part.
• Securing the remote workforce is proving challenging: Enforcing corporate security policies on remote users was the second most common security challenge (58% of
respondents). 57% of respondents indicated they lacked the time and resources to implement recognized security best practices. Boosting remote access performance remains
the most popular use case for 2021 (47% of respondents).
• SASE in focus for enterprises in post-pandemic 2021: 91% of respondents expect SASE to simplify management and security. Half of respondents (52%) indicated that
SASE would be very or extremely important to their businesses post COVID-19. Of those who’ve already adopted SASE, 86% of respondents experienced increased security.

Imagen Launches Imagen Go, the Smart Digital Media Platform for Creative
Teams
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Solution Description
Imagen, the leading digital asset management company announces the introduction of Imagen Go – a smart, AI powered media platform that helps people to
connect with the content they need to stay productive. Imagen Go reduces the complexity of managing digital assets and makes it easy to share, store and
collaborate on creative projects. As many businesses struggle to maintain relationships with consumers, staff and partners during the current pandemic, the demand
for digital content to support marketing and communications has only intensified. Without the right digital media management solution in place, creative project
teams are encountering content chaos, exacerbated by the pressures of remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic. Creativity has always been linked to
business success; it pays to think differently. Imagen’s research reveals that nearly a third (30%) of UK-based marketing professionals don’t have enough time to
be creative. Daily digital admin is rapidly increasing, impeding the creation and execution of impactful projects and campaigns. Over a quarter (27%) of marketing
professionals are spending an extra 3-4 hours a day catching up on creative work outside office hours. That adds up to £21,000 of unpaid hours per individual, per
year a remarkable cost when the whole team is considered. Their frustration compounded by time wasted searching across disparate systems for files. Moreover,
being overworked and frequently losing focus hinders the ability to think creatively. Companies are therefore risking employee burnout as well as their bottom line,
without an effective digital asset management in place. Imagen Go is a secure, intuitive, cloud-based solution designed to help organisations store, organise and
share digital media more efficiently. When video files are dropped into projects, Imagen Go automatically generates transcripts from the audio track, it tags objects
recognised in images, and turns PDFs and documents into searchable files. Imagen Go’s smart tagging makes finding content effortlessly intuitive.

  • 6. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable AT&T Reports Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year Results Consolidated Financial Results • AT&T’s consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter totaled $45.7 billion versus $46.8 billion in the year-ago quarter. • Operating expenses were $56.4 billion versus $41.5 billion in the year-ago quarter. Expenses increased due to higher non-cash asset impairments and abandonments (including $15.5 billion for the Video business), higher domestic wireless equipment costs and higher HBO Max investments. • Operating income/(loss) was ($10.7) billion versus $5.3 billion in the year-ago quarter due to the non-cash asset impairments in the quarter and the impact of lower revenues. Operating income margin was (23.5%) versus 11.4% in the year-ago quarter. • Fourth-quarter net loss attributable to common stock was ($13.9) billion, or ($1.95) per common share, versus net income attributable to common stock of $2.4 billion, or $0.33 per diluted common share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusting for $2.70, which includes asset impairments, an actuarial loss on benefit plans, merger-amortization costs and other items, earnings per diluted common share was $0.75 compared to an adjusted $0.89 in the year-ago quarter. The company did not adjust for COVID-19 impacts of ($0.08): $0.01 incremental cost reductions and ($0.09) of estimated revenues. • Cash from operating activities was $10.1 billion, and capital expenditures were $2.4 billion. The decrease reflects the principal debt payment of approximately $4.8 million and payments of $35.0 million on the revolving credit facility. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable F5 to Acquire Volterra to Create the First Edge 2.0 Platform for Enterprises and Service Providers F5 Networks the leader in application security and delivery, and Volterra, the first universal edge-as-a-service platform, announced a definitive agreement under which F5 will acquire all issued and outstanding shares of privately held Volterra for approximately $440 million in cash and approximately $60 million in deferred consideration and assumed unvested incentive compensation to founders and employees. With the addition of Volterra’s technology platform, F5 is creating an edge platform built for enterprises and service providers that will be security-first and app-driven with unlimited scale. In connection with the transaction, F5 raised its Horizon 2 (fiscal years 2021 and 2022) and long-term revenue outlook, and reiterated its Horizon 2 operating targets, including its commitment to achieving double-digit non-GAAP earnings per share growth. The company also reiterated its commitment to return $1 billion of capital over the next two years, including the initiation of a $500 million accelerated share repurchase in fiscal year 2021. In addition, F5 released a preview of its first quarter fiscal year 2021 financial results stating it expects GAAP and non-GAAP revenue in a range of $623 to $626 million, driven in part, by approximately 68% GAAP, and 70% non-GAAP, software revenue growth. Executive Commentary “Current edge solutions are simply inadequate for enterprise customers. It’s time to break out of closed edge systems that only perpetuate the pain of building, running, and securing apps,” said, President and CEO, F5. “With Volterra, we advance our Adaptive Applications vision with an Edge 2.0 platform that solves the complex multi-cloud reality enterprise customers confront. Our platform will create a SaaS solution that solves our customers’ biggest pain points. The success of F5’s software transformation has put us in a position to deliver on the potential of Edge 2.0 and redefine our competitive position.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 7
  • 13. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable F5 Completes Acquisition of Volterra F5 Networks the leader in application security and delivery, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Volterra, the first universal edge-as-a-service platform. With the addition of Volterra’s technology, F5 is creating an edge platform built for enterprises and service providers that will be security-first and app-driven with unlimited scale. Volterra’s unique multi-cloud technology solves key edge and security problems and has allowed it to quickly gain more than fifty enterprise customers, including three of the top fifteen global telcos. The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0 Platform The modern edge has been evolving for more than twenty years. The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0 platform will be designed to address challenges found with current edge solutions that are built on CDNs and have limited security features. This new enterprise-focused edge is security-first and app-driven, with unlimited scale. • Security-first. The sophistication of cybercriminals and nation states has increased to the point that commodity security is no longer capable of effectively protecting enterprises. F5+Volterra’s Edge 2.0 platform will deliver the full range of F5’s industry-leading security products in a SaaS model. F5’s AI technology for fraud and abuse protection—the primary line of cyberdefense for the majority of the largest banks, airlines, and federal agencies—will be made easily deployable by any enterprise. • App-driven. The edge should meet the requirements of the app, not the other way around. The Volterra platform is based on industry-standard containers, enabling enterprises to “build once, deploy globally,” rather than rewriting code based on a closed edge provider’s constraints. F5 simplifies operations to accelerate time-to-market and lower cost of ownership, powering more than 70% of the world’s top 10,000 websites and 48 of the Fortune 50. • Unlimited scale. Third-party CDNs cannot match the scale and capital investment of the public clouds of Amazon, Microsoft, and Google; nor can a single public cloud match the scale of all clouds combined. The F5+Volterra Edge 2.0 platform represents the first open edge architecture, enabling DevOps and developer teams to seamlessly shift workloads across clouds and even to data centers, without reimplementation or retooling, enabling the largest scale and best performance possible. Executive Commentary “Current edge approaches were not designed with enterprises in mind,” said founder of Volterra. “When Harshad and I started Volterra, we knew the edge would need to be delivered with the scale of public clouds, but with management and security integrated with the data centers where so many enterprise apps still live. Given F5’s leadership in Adaptive Applications and their vast enterprise customer base, I could not imagine a better partner to empower customers’business transformation through modern apps.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 8 Key Financial Highlights

Imagen Go reduces the complexity of managing digital assets and makes it easy to share, store and collaborate on creative projects. As many businesses struggle to maintain relationships with consumers, staff and partners during the current pandemic, the demand for digital content to support marketing and communications has only intensified. Without the right digital media management solution in place, creative project teams are encountering content chaos, exacerbated by the pressures of remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic. Creativity has always been linked to business success; it pays to think differently. Imagen’s research reveals that nearly a third (30%) of UK-based marketing professionals don’t have enough time to be creative. Daily digital admin is rapidly increasing, impeding the creation and execution of impactful projects and campaigns. Over a quarter (27%) of marketing professionals are spending an extra 3-4 hours a day catching up on creative work outside office hours. That adds up to £21,000 of unpaid hours per individual, per year a remarkable cost when the whole team is considered. Their frustration compounded by time wasted searching across disparate systems for files. Moreover, being overworked and frequently losing focus hinders the ability to think creatively. Companies are therefore risking employee burnout as well as their bottom line, without an effective digital asset management in place. Imagen Go is a secure, intuitive, cloud-based solution designed to help organisations store, organise and share digital media more efficiently. When video files are dropped into projects, Imagen Go automatically generates transcripts from the audio track, it tags objects recognised in images, and turns PDFs and documents into searchable files. Imagen Go’s smart tagging makes finding content effortlessly intuitive.

SMUs are electronic instruments capable of sourcing and measuring at the same time. They can precisely force voltage or current and simultaneously measure precise voltage and/or current. Keysight offers a wide range of SMU instruments, which are categorized into four areas: precision, application specific, general-purpose and basic. The following are new SMUs now available from Keysight: • The Keysight M9601A PXIe precision SMU is ideal for a wide variety of current versus voltage (I-V) measurement tasks that require both high resolution and accuracy such as characterization, parametric/reliability tests of semiconductors, active/passive components and general electronic devices. It supports accurate and precise measurement up to 210 V / 315 mA with resolution down to 500 nV / 10 fA. Pulsed and sampling measurement capabilities allow the M9601A to perform a wide variety of measurements from DC to pulsed down to 20 μs at 1.25 MSa/s sampling rate. • The Keysight M9614A and M9615A are PXIe five-channel precision SMUs which are ideal for applications that require high channel density, such as semiconductor reliability testing and integrated circuit (IC) tests. They support accurate measurement up to 30 V / 500 mA with resolution down to 6 uV / 10 pA and provide a wider output range than a conventional PXIe four-channel SMU at a lower cost per channel. Their seamless current measurement ranging function reduces test duration by eliminating the time it takes to change the range and expands the dynamic range to cover four measurement ranges. • The Keysight M9602A and M9603A are PXIe precision SMUs featuring narrow pulse width (10 μs), a fast sampling rate of up to 15 MSa/s and a wide output range. They enable dynamic/pulsed measurements for broad emerging applications such as vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) optical devices, integrated circuit (IC) testing across a wide output range and high resolution. In addition, they offer low noise performance which enables measurements with short aperture times and the seamless current measurement ranging function eliminates range change time, which improves test throughput.
