This document presents the results of an experimental study comparing the strength and cost of fibre-reinforced geopolymer concrete and conventional concrete. Geopolymer concrete is made from fly ash, alkaline liquids like sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide, aggregates, and sometimes fibres. It offers an eco-friendly alternative to ordinary Portland cement concrete. The study found that using glass fibres increased the compressive strength of geopolymer concrete by about 18% compared to non-fibre concrete. Steel fibres also increased the split tensile strength significantly. While geopolymer concrete achieved high early strength within 7 days, conventional concrete continued gaining strength beyond 7 days.
