EVALUATION TASK 5

HAVE YOU MET THE AIMS OF THE
BRIEF – IN TERMS OF AUDIENCE,
TOPIC, FORMAT SET BY CULTURE
EAST?
 Culture east set us a target to interview people and talk
about a certain topic, then recorded their beliefs / views
upon the topic. We as a group decided to go with the
topic football, we spoke about what the 2015/2016
premier league has done for the fans and how its effect
ted them. In brief that culture east gave us it said we had
to target people from east London i think the reason for
this is because we talked about west ham united which is
in east London. Furthermore the brief said the podcast
had to be under 5 minutes. We successfully completed
this task because our interview last around 4 minutes.
Although the premier league season full of drama and
surprises. So as a group we had a lot of things to talk
about, we cut it down to sections for the information to
be informed and talked about. We gather round in a
table and sat down in a group and developed easy yet
reasonable questions that will give us good answers.
TO WHAT EXTENT DOES YOUR NEWS
SEGMENT FIT WITH YOUR ORIGINAL
IDEAS FOR AN AUDIO PIECE?
 In my opinion our news segment fitted well with
the our original ideas for the audio piece since
we only had on thing in mid we ended up being
successful. What we was planning to achieve to
have a convection about the 2015/2016 premier
league and what the reviews are on Leicester
city winning the world cup. We didn’t come up
with a plan b because (according to our
knowledge and strengths) we thought we had a
strong topic to talk about.
WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS OF YOUR
AUDIO (WHAT WORKED WELL?)
 As a group and in my opinion I think we did well because we
helped each other and we were very organised. In task 1 we
had to do pre-production which included the following;
booking form, call sheet, realise forms and etc. we planed
out as a group that each member of the group had to do 2
pre-production tasks and at the end well all pit it into one. We
went well because we had it planned before and we finished
the task within an hour. In task 2 we had to recorded our
conversions / interviews which we successfully achieved as
we worked as a group to find people to talk to and have
good knowledge about the premier league. So after we did
our recording we had to upload to ‘logic’ to edit the piece
where all of our group members all had a role which they can
fulfil. I think we worked well as a group because in all units we
helped each other and improved our team work skills and
know more about being a team player. Our editing skills were
very good especially with the fading which totally improved
the quality of the conversation and the background music as
well.
WHAT ARE THE AREAS FOR
IMPROVEMENT (WHAT COULD BE
BETTER?)
 Even though we were very successful and did all
the tasks in a short period of time I still think there
are small areas on which we can improve on.
Such as the conversation, I thought we could
improve on that because we could of set up a
bit longer and ended up having better questions
which lead to more detailed answers. Next time
we recorded we should keep in mind that the
mic should be right in-between in the middle of
both of he two people because at some point
you could hear one person better then the
other. Lastly I think we could of improved our
ski8lls on logic since it was our fist time using it.
WHAT ARE THE AREAS FOR
IMPROVEMENT (WHAT COULD BE
