Questionnaire
I wanted to hear audience feedback from my music
video I felt the best way of doing this is by creating a
questionnaire. I created a questionnaire with six
questions and then handed it out to ten people within
my school. I was looking for honest feedback which I
could talk about and hopefully improve my video
editing, filming and directing skills for the future.
First question – How old are you?
• My first question asked was how old the
person is who is taking the questionnaire. This
was a important question as I wanted to make
sure everyone taking the questionnaire was in
the right age bracket as my target audience is
between the age of 15-21. all ansers recivered
were between
Second question – Are you male or
female?
• Are you male or female? I asked this question to
get a understanding oh what the percentage of
girls and boys I was asking. As my target market
was for both males and females I was aiming to
ask an even percentage of males and females.
From the figures below I asked 6 males and 4
females as these are nearly even I am happy with
who I asked. Asking a mixture of both sexes will
mean not a one sided oppion getting both sides.
Third question – What genre do you
think this music video is?
• Within my third question I asked what genre the
audience thought the music video was. This question is
a hard question to answer as the song I have chosen
does have certain elements from other genres in. But I
was interested to see what the actual text showed to
the audience. with this in mind I gave a number of
different answers. Doing this allows the audience a
wide range to pick from. From the answers most nearly
all (8/10) said it was a Indie Rock. This is what I wanted
to see as of course the song is indie rock and I wanted
the video to meet the sound of the song. I feel getting
this type of figure back helps show in some ways I met
what I set out to achieve.
Fourth Question – What television network
would you think you would most likely see this
music video on?
• I asked this question to get a insight in where the ten
people would think the music video would be plaid. This
will mean a understanding of what type of genre the
audience thinks my music video. Also asking this question
helps identify if I done a good job in terms of making a
video which could go on television. The original video for
this song when first out was played a number of times of
the television channel Karrange so I am interested if the ten
would feel if my version would fit well on that music
channel or others.
• From looking at results it seems that I have achieved the
right target market. I aimed for my music video to be
suitable for karrange and MTV 2 which were the only two
selected by the audience.
Firth question – Did you enjoy my
music video?
• My second last question was asked was if they enjoyed
my music video, one of the whole points of creating a
music video was that the audience would enjoy it and
want to watch again. although this is not the only
reason to create a music it is a big part of it. From all
ten answers I got eight yes and two knows. I feel this is
a good strong outcome as not everyone who took the
question liked the genre of music the video was.
Having a large majority saying yes helps create a feeling
of success but also meeting a aim of creating a
enjoyable music video. Having a enjoyable music video
will mean more people will watch it making the artist
become more popular and gaining more fans.
Last Question – Do you feel my music video, digipack
and advertisement worked well together?
• I asked this question to get a idea of how people
felt about all my productions in relations to each
other. My music video, advertisement and
digipack must work well together in order to have
have made a successful meaningful project. From
the answers of getting nine out of ten saying it
did work well together. This shows that the
audience asked feel that the productions do work
well together meaning I have done some what of
a good job in terms of creating three pieces of
media which work well together.
