& painting activities, coordinating NDT activities, final documentation packages, on a
gas gathering plant.
Grangemouth Refinery shutdown. (B.P) 1993 Inspection of pipe work & vessels
on plant upgrade. Responsible for welder approval testing, generating punch lists,
documentation & commissioning.
Lithgow Ltd. (Mcrindles) 1993 Supervision of welders - working on a Pipe rack
structure for Kellogg’s, Bridge sections for the North Everest Project & a subsea tie in
skid module for Total. My duties included organising welding activities, requesting
NDT.
THORP Sellafield construction. (Laing’s) 1992-93 Welding inspector - Inspection
of stainless steel pipe work, vessels & welds on a nuclear reprocessing facility,
liaising with the client and documentation packages. The welding process was TIG.
The Channel Tunnel Project. (Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick) 1991-92 QC Inspector -
working on a water mains cooling system, inspection of pipe work and fittings,
witnessing testing.
Severn Bridge refurbishment. 1990 - 91 (Laing’s) QC Inspector - Inspection of
additional strengthening work to existing material, inspection of fit-up & completed
welds, painting inspection, compiling reports, & liaising with the client inspection team.
Sabre Fabrications. 1985 – 1990 TIG Welder/inspector - Inspection & testing of pipe
work & components.
