I have an excellent understanding of welding procedures and the qualifying of them. I have worked with a large
variety of materials and my understanding of the different codes and specifications is extensive. Specifications
and Codes that I have worked with include the VUP, PER, SANS 347, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, SABS 62, BS EN 571,
BS EN 287-1, BS EN 2633, BS EN 288, AWS D1.1, ASME 4 and ASME 8, ASME 9. All of the companies below are ISO
9000/1 accredited and I have a good understanding of what is required in a QA/QC management system.
Projects I have workedon.
I have, in the past ten years, been actively involved in projects such as, the erection of the ‘Medupi’ and
‘Kusile’ power stations, ‘Khi’ and ‘Kaxu’ solar plants, ‘Bushkoppies’ Water Treatment Works, ‘Gaberone’
{Botswana}Water Treatment Plant extensions, Phase one and two. I have been involved in Coal, Uranium,
Gold and Diamond Mine projects [erections] across South Africa and Zimbabwe.
I have experience in the Petrochemical plant side as well, working on projects for the erection of Sasol’s
Octane 3 Plant and Wax Plant Phase 1. My key roles are: Quality Control Documentation; which entails internal

and external audits within the Quality Department, procedure writing and reviews, isometric reviews and red
lining for drawing office revisions NDE Document reviews such as RT film review and MT/ LP/UT report
reviews for approval. Welding and fabrication inspections as well as pressure testing of equipment on all
Piping, carbon and stainless steel, heat exchangers, chemical dosing skids, framework, , pressure vessels, resin
traps, condensers, cation vessels, anion vessels, expansion bellows, pumps, valves, supports, boilers, chemical
piping, pressure piping, structural works, etc. I have worked with pressure gauges, welding instruments,
welding inspection equipment, measuring tools and formula, I have experience in painting and coating
inspections.
