12. I found choosing between these two images for one of my
posters fairly easy. This is because in the first image, me and
Ben have more of a serious look to us, whereas in the second
picture we are smiling and look happy. This would not be
suitable for my horror poster unless I was going for a
contradictory kind of look, as if we don’t know what's coming;
however I don’t like that idea. Also, the camera angle. In the first
image, it is head on and we are looking straight at the camera,
whereas the second is at an angle. These two factors make it
unsuitable as my dominant image.
13. • For this poster I used the image of me and Ben in the
background. Then, I overlaid the image of the house
on the hill which I found from google. I used the
screen effect to create this look. I also overlaid the
‘HELP’ in blood, and I found this from the app
‘picsart’s free clipart section. I then added all my
text, following my flat plans that I made to give
myself some prior structure.
14. For this poster, I pasted the polaroid overlay onto my
app for the door to go inside, creating the effect of an
old photograph. I used a grungy filter and turned the
shadows all the way up to further this effect. I then
added a blood splash from the apps free clipart section,
near the side of the door to add the aspect of horror if
my audience couldn’t already guess. Then, following
another flat plan I added my slogan and my text.
15. For this poster, it was very simple to edit. I took
the photo from the internet and just added all the
text straight onto the poster. I also used a filter to
make the shadows more prominent, however this
is a very simple but effective draft in my opinion.
