3. BACK
LIGHT
KEY LIGHT
In this picture the Key light is the
lamp on the table, as it is the
closest light to the character and
the strongest light in the room.
The backlight is the light that is
being shown through the mirror, as
it is being used to light up the wall
behind the character.
4. KEY LIGHT BACK
LIGHT
In this picture the key light is the light
that is being reflected off of the man’s
shirt, as again, the light is the closest
one to him in this picture. The back
light in this picture is the street light, as
it is being used to highlight the
background in this picture.
5. BACK
LIGHT
KEY LIGHT
The key light in this picture is the light
coming from the door behind the woman,
as it is the strongest light in the picture,
which is shown as it is also able to light up
the other two men in the picture, with the
back light being the light coming from
above the woman’s head.
6. BACK
LIGHT
KEY LIGHT
FILLER
LIGHT
The key light is the light hanging above
the man’s head, as it is the most
dominant form of light in the room. The
back light is the light coming from the
door, as it is being used to highlight the
background, whist the light coming from
the window is the filler light, as it is being
used to remove any of the shadows on
the man’s face.
