2. What research into horror genre has influenced the look of your you film publicity campaign? Our research in to the horror genre has given us many ideas for our concept The films that have influenced the look of our production when researching are: The Ring – using a child as our protagonist character. We were also influenced the costume used in the film. Friday 13th – this film influenced our props that we want to use. Be witched-Our location was influence by this film/ forest location. 3. What narrative strategies did you decide to adopt in your synopsis and how is this reflected in your concept? The narrative strategies that we adopted in the synopsis was to have the dialog. I decided to use dialog when I came up with my concept. I looked at many different films and in most of the films they used dialog. However I wanted to use only a little bit of dialog so that not a lot is given away and the dispense is still Present. Michael Cooke
4. How have you compared profiles of target audience? I compare my target audience to different films. I looked at similar films then looked at the type of audience that are attracted to that pacific film. I wanted to market my publicity campaign target audience using similar element to real film campaign. I compare my target audience to films like scream and the ring. These film audience are very similar and I was also influenced by both films. Michael Cooke
5. What research have you completed into certification and how did this influence your ideas? Once I competed my research I began to get much more ideas about I wanted to add in my film campaign. At first my concept was limited however after completing by research my concept became much more stronger. And understandable This research really brought my concept together and also helped me on my was to planning and create my concept. My research really influence many ideas for example I had selected 3-4 horror films that my concepts where based on and used then through my research. 6. What role has digital technology had in the planning of your production? Digital technology has played a big part in my planning I used the internet to help me with my research and obviously blogging On the internet I used site to create and upload presentation for our blogs (Prezi (www.prezi.com) and Slide share (www.slideshare.com) I also used looked into type of font we can use for our title on a site call DaFont.(www.dafont.com) I used Sony video camera to shoot our trailers I also used Canon digital cameras to take still images that we could use for our poster and and magazine front cover productions Adobe Photoshop was used to create the second part of our campaign such as the magazine font cover and the film poster for my trailer. I used sites social network sites like Facebook and Youtube to gather feedback from our audience, this was very useful and helpful Michael Cooke
7. How have you interpreted the brief for the advanced portfolio and formulate publicity campaign? The portfolio gave me a clear understanding of what I had to produce at the end of my research After looking at the portfolio knew what I had to research, I knew genre we had to begin research in. The teaser trailer, film poster and magazine cover I broke it down into section then start to create my concept for my publicity campaign. Once I find with my concept I then began to look into it with much more detail. The portfolio was a good enough guild line for me to follow Michael Cooke
