the need for additional filming.
Interviews: Is a common news technique. It allows people being filmed to speak directly
about events, prompted by the questions asked by the reporter.
L cuts over visuals: This links to the idea of the mise-en-scene for example interviewing a fire
brigade person wearing their uniform in a fire station. This will make it more realistic and
reliable.
Titles to tell us names: Is a quick way of conveying information and show who is talking and
what there name is.

Music at the beginning is like a theme tune and when you hear it you will automatically know the news is on in
the music it shows seriousness and forceful authority which you know official people will be talking about day
to day things that are happening nationally and worldwide.
Identity:
Different TV news channels has different themes different coding to different new channels but they will keep to
the originality for example.

Mid shots:
Of a anchor behined news desk. It shows where she is sitting and you will be able to see all the emotions on her
face on the topics she’s talking about. Also seeing the news room behind on some television news shows all the
people that is gathering news and to help broadcast the news as best and professional looking. Also adding
photos to show about the topic if they cant get actual live footage.
Representation:
All have to be serious as they have to give out news to people without making it offensive or stupid and have to
be formal throughout the whole broadcast.

Formal:
Has to be neat with haircut with a clean shave and they have to be looking professional so a suit shows
respectable and smart.
Anomysing faces and voices shows secrecy and people didn’t want and give permission to be on
televison. So they would blur their face.
