Jan. 11th – Jan. 15th
This Week’s Assignments
Reading – We will pick up where we left off last week. We will work on
summarizing
Writing – We have read the book Snowmen at Night and are currently working on
our own story about snowmen at night told from the perspective of the snowman.
Our focus in writing this week will be strong verbs that paint a better picture, and
revising to improve our rough draft.
Spelling – Students will be given Unit 17 Spelling words for this week. They will
be tested over their words on Friday.
Math – This week we will be working on division. Students will have a quiz on
Tuesday. It is so important that they know their multiplication facts. I am still
seeing many students counting on their fingers and it is slowing them down with
their division.
Science – We are working on a force and motion unit. Students will have a short
vocabulary test on Friday.
