This Week’s Assignments
Reading –Students will work in groups coming up with thick and thin MAP like
question from a given story.
Writing – Students will work on a dog’s perspective story. They will pick a silly
picture of a dog and use that picture to write a story about the dog from the dogs
perspective.
Spelling – Students will be given Unit 23 Spelling words for this week. They will be
tested over their words on Friday.
Math – This week we will continue with geometry. We will spend two days working
with area and two day working with perimeter. Geometry is a difficult subject for the
students. There is a lot of information that the students have to learn and
remember. Please work on these concepts at home with your children or check out
the blog. I have some activities and lessons on the blog under geometry.
Science – We will continue our study on ecosystems. We will be talking about
organisms as producers or consumers, the difference between herbivores, carnivores,
omnivores, and decomposers, and how organisms interact with each other.
