April 19th – April 23rd
This Week’s Assignments
Reading – We will begin the book Sarah Plain and Tall. We will read some of it
together and the students will buddy read the other half. They will all work together
to put together a scrapbook project of the book by the end of the week.
Writing – We will be working on our Famous Missourians. Students will be writing a
short report about their Famous Missourian.
Spelling – Students will be given Unit 29 Spelling words for this week. They will be
tested over their words on Friday.
Math – We will be going back to geometry to review some concepts we have already
learned. There is so much information involved with geometry and we want to review
it one more time.
Social Studies – The fourth grade will be working on their Famous Missourians.
They will be researching their person, writing their speech, and planning their outfit
and props.
Reminders to Parents
1. Turn in your child’s George Washington Carver permission slip!
2. Remember to check the blog for new pictures and updates.
3. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at
school.

Skills Day: April 20
Wax Museum: (Students need to have props here by Friday, April 23)
~ Dress Rehearsal: Monday, April 26th
~ Actual Wax Museum: Tuesday, April 27th @ 2:45 (Parents invited)
Carver Field Trip: Wednesday, April 28th
Learning Fest: Thursday, April 29th
