March 1st – March 5th
This Week’s Assignments
Reading –Students will be reading and answering questions from nonfiction pieces.
We will be focusing on and reviewing test taking strategies.
Writing – Students will work on a research project. Some students will be
researching a country and others will be researching an animal.
Spelling – Students will be given Unit 24 Spelling words for this week. They will be
tested over their words on Friday.
Math – This week we will be moving on to fractions. Students are still struggling
with area and perimeter. They are having a hard time finding both area and
perimeter for one figure. Please work on these concepts at home with your children
or check out the blog. I have some activities and lessons on the blog under geometry
and fractions.
Science – We will be looking at and learning about different environmental problems
this week and what we could do to help take care of or even prevent these problems.
