In this lesson plan, the teacher aims to introduce vocabulary about family members to 5th grade students using fun activities. First, students will identify Simpson's family members from flashcards and match them to vocabulary words. Then they will listen to and sing along with a song about family while completing blanks with family member names. Follow up activities include ordering words to form family members and matching them to pictures, as well as a crossword to consolidate the vocabulary. The objectives are for students to learn and identify different family members and use expressions like "this is" and "I've got" to describe a family.

In this lesson, as a warm-up activity, we are going to show the students some flashcards with the
members of the Simpson’s family which will be stuck on the blackboard and the children will tell
us who each member is (Father, mother, brother, etc.) and they will stick another flashcard with
the corresponding word below each character. 8-10 min.
To continue with the topic, we are going to show them a song about family members to
consolidate the vocabulary and introduce new members (cousin, uncle, aunt). Also, we will
introduce the expressions ‘this is’ and ‘I’ve got’. We are going to play the song three times. First,
we are going to ask them if they can recognize any family member mentioned in the song without
giving them the lyrics. Secondly, we are going to provide them the lyrics with blanks which they
