Lesson plan 4
Topic: Friendship related with Toy Story. /Revision of WH-questions
Objectives:
 Students will identify values.
 Students will make use of values and rules in the class.
 Students will be able to write a short description of themselves.
 Students will be able to understand the meaning of a song by dancing it
while making some gestures that make reference to the lexical words of the
song.
 Students will be using the language by singing the song.
 Students will reflect upon friendship.
LESSON PLAN 4
BRETON LUCILA Y DIEGO FRANCISCO 2
 Students will recognize and listen a conversation from a movie and will be
able to recognize familiar words.
 Students will practice writing short declarative sentences
 Students will reinforce their knowledge of wh-questions
Time: 40’
Materials needed for the lesson:
 Lyrics from the song “You’ve got a Friend in me’’ by Randy Newman.
 Projector and a computer with audio.
 Videos from the film “Toy Story”.
 Photocopies adapted from the page 24 of the Howdy Friends textbook.
 Images from ‘’Toy Story’’.
Routine:
We will be following the routine ‘’How do you feel today?’’ that our mentor
teacher uses every class before starting with the lesson. 3’
Breathing exercise before starting the lesson.2’ (we might change this
routine for this class. If children don’t want to do it, we won’t oblige them.)
First activity: 15’

First of all, we will give students a copy of the lyrics with some words in
bold which will tell them what they mean. Then, we will listen to the song one
time, and then sing and dance as in the video.

We will adapt a short text from the textbook Howdy Friends in page 24 (we will
provide students with both examples). In this activity we will ask students to write
a description about themselves answering the following questions:
 What’s is your name?
 Who’s your friend?
 Where are you from?
 What’s your favourite colour?
 What’s your favourite number?
(If we can’t finish with this activity, they will have to do it as homework)

In this activity we will ask students to write a description about themselves answering the following questions:  What’s is your name?  Who’s your friend?  Where are you from?  What’s your favourite colour?  What’s your favourite number? (If we can’t finish with this activity, they will have to do it as homework)
