LESSON PLAN: Second lesson, 8th
August, 2017.
Students: Roldán Grecia, Yorgovan Ramiro
Topic: Families
Aims: Consolidate previous vocabulary about family members through the use of listening
activities, completing a family tree, drawing their own family, and playing a game.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson the children will have consolidated the vocabulary
and make the content meaningful as they will have drawn their own family.
Grammar: this is
Vocabulary: Mother, mum, father, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt,
cousin.
Course: 5th
grade ‘B’ & ‘D’
Time: 40 minutes
Materials:
 Flashcards
 Audios
 Workbook
 Photocopies
FIRST ACTIVITY: LISTENING COMPREHENSION.
In this lesson, to begin with the topic we are going to work with a listening activity from the
workbook in which they will have to point and say the family member that they listen to.
Then, in the next activity, we will work with another listening in which they will have to circle the
option that the audio mentions.
SECOND ACTIVITY: Complete a family tree.
In the third activity they will have to complete the blanks of a family tree.
THIRD ACTIVITY: MY CAR BUMPER HAS MY FAMILY ON IT!
In the following activity will provide the children with a photocopy of a car in which they will have
to draw their own family members.
To conclude with the lesson we will play a game called ‘I point, you say’ in which we will use the
flashcards of the Simpson’s family. We will point at the characters and they will have to say which
family members are.
