LESSON PLAN Nº 2
OBJETIVES:
- Revise the membersof the family(mum, dad,brother,sister,granny,grandpa, baby sister
and baby brother).
- Produce the names of the members of the family.
- Revise the colours and produce them.
- Revise and produce the three different actions (run, jump and turn around).
ROUTINES:
“Hello” song, check the weather, moods, “Goodbye” song.
WARM UP:
We will startthe lessonbysingingthe “Hello”song.Afterthat,we will give eachstudentapiece of
cardboard withtheirnames, so that we can recognize them more easily. Then, we will check the
weather using the flashcards and immediately after that we will ask the students how they feel
today, using a ball.

ACTIVITY 1: Revision Unit 2. TEST.
 Type of interaction: group work.
 Materials: sheets of papers with two activities assigned and tape recorder.
 Macroskills: listening and speaking.
Listen and tick or cross.
a) We have to give eachstudentasheetof paperso as to make a revisionaboutthe familyin
Unit 2. In the firstexercise, we have to ask students which family members they see and
say their names.
b) We have to tell them that they will hear a recording in which they have to tick or cross
each family member according to the order in which they appear. For example, the first
family member is Grandma, but if the recording says “Sister”, then children will have to
draw a cross.
c) We play the recording again so as to check their work.
Listen and circle.
a) We have to ask students which actions the cat is doing in each box.
b) We have to tell students that they will hear a recording in which they have to listen and
circle the action named in each box. For example, in each box there is a cat doing two
activities.Inthe firstone,the cat is running and then it is turning around. If the recording
says “Run”, then children will have to circle the cat which is running.

ACTIVITY 2: Memory Game.
 Type of interaction:groupwork.
 Materials:flashcardsof the familymembers.
 Macroskills:speaking.
a) We will tell studentsthattheywill playa memory game so as to practice and produce the
family members and colours.
b) In a piece of cloth, which will be hanged from the blackboard, we will stick the 8 family
membersalongwiththe whole family too (grandma, sister, dad, brother, grandpa, mum,
baby sister, baby brother and family).
c) The group of students is divided into 3 rows, so each row will make a group. The first
playeronpassing in front of the class will choose 2 family members and he/she will turn
the flashcardsof the familymembers around so that the rest of the groups can see them.
After that, we will ask the student “Who’s this?” and the student has to answer “This is
dad”, for example, and so as to practice the colours we can also ask the student “What
colour is it?” pointing to the dad’s hear, for example. Then, the player sits down and
another member of a different group goes to the front and chooses a different family
member (in this case he/she will choose only one).
d) The game finisheswhenstudents make the pairsof eachfamilymember. The winners will
be the group that collect as much family members’ pairs as possible.
