1) What draws your attention to this product?
The bright colours used e.g. the orange against the black and white.
2)What genre do you think this is?
I think that this genre is hip-hop/ rap due to the sell lines mentioning
rappers etc.
3) Do you think the models fit in with the look of the magazine?
Yes I think that they look like they are about the same age of the people
who would read this magazine making them attracted to it.
4) Do you think there is a consistent theme throughout?
I do as the theming is the same throughout.
5) Do you think the magazine would stand out against other magazines?
Yes as the colours used catch attention.
Person 2
1) What draws your attention to this product?
The large fonts used .
2)What genre do you think this is?
I’m not sure of the genre therefore I think it could be improved by making it
more obvious.
3) Do you think the models fit in with the look of the magazine?
Yes, I think the models fit in with the modern look of the magazine as they
are young.
4) Do you think there is a consistent theme throughout?
Yes, the fonts and colour remain the same throughout.
5) Do you think the magazine would stand out against other magazines?
I think it would however I think more sell lines could be added to make it
look fuller.

The colour scheme.

I think the genre of this magazine is rap.
3) Do you think the models fit in with the look of the magazine?
I think that the way the models fit in with the magazine due to the way they
are presented.
4) Do you think there is a consistent theme throughout?
I think there is due to the consistent colour scheme.
5) Do you think the magazine would stand out against other magazines?
I think the titles could be made larger in order to make it bolder however I
think it would catch attention.
Person 4
1) What draws your attention to this product?
The images used.
2)What genre do you think this is?
Rap because of the image and sell lines.
3) Do you think the models fit in with the look of the magazine?
I do because I think they are similar to the people who will read the
magazine.
4) Do you think there is a consistent theme throughout?
I do because the same colours are used throughout.
5) Do you think the magazine would stand out against other magazines?
I do because I think that it looks modern and unique and not similar to
anything that is already out there.
Summary
From asking these questions, I have found that:
■ My audience are attracted to the magazine due to the fonts and the bright colours
■ ¾ people could recognize the rap genre
■ All 4 people found that the models fitted in with the look of the magazine
■ My audience found that the colour scheme and fonts made the magazine have a
consistent theme
■ ¾ people found that the magazine would stand out against other magazines, however
2/4 said that more could be added to make it stand out more
