• What is it about?
• This review is about the film fantastic beasts, which is a great review with it giving a valued
marked score and taking in what characters should have been there and what characters
really had no relevance to the plot. He also compares Newt Scamander to Harry Potter and
talks about how they are so different. As well as this the anticipation of Naginini’s
character. They have included a soundtrack produced in the background of the review to
make it just as interesting when reviewing. As well as this because this is a visual and not
an audio review it
• Formal or informal, and why?
• This review is formal because it sounds like its is script wrote, with them being his thoughts
on the movie but sound like they have been finalised down. Also you can tell when a
review is formal because its much more shorter, as informal. With informal the person
would be going over there point over and over again, whether in this one each point is only
be talked about once.
• Audience appeal? Why would they want to listen to it?
• The audience appeal is that he made some interesting points conveying not the actors
performance but the characters developments and the need to have certain new
characters in the film.

• What is it about?
• This review is another fantastic beasts review, but to me this is a different review,
which is in contrast to the previous review which shows how different people’s
opinions. This reviewer doesn’t think that the plot has done justice to the franchise
but the characters and the actors have been played really well. Whether on the
previous review is it was the other way round.
• Formal or informal, and why?
• This review is short and formal again, with there being a lot described in the amount
of time given but manages not to give away any spoilers in a similar way that the
previous review had done.
• Audience appeal? Why would they want to listen to it?
• I think the audience will be appealed to this review because the way he talks is in a
way that any type of film buff would be interested not just a harry potter/fantastic
beasts fan.

• What is it about?
• I wanted to pick a different film review for this but include the same way of analysing
and constructing a review the same. This film is horror film called hereditary, but is by
the same person who reviewed the last existing product. I think he’s a really good at
reviewing horror films, comparing certain characters and giving them similes. He also
has the honesty a reviewer should have saying that it isn't as good as a film to
compare it to the shining but is just as good the witch.
• Formal or informal, and why?
• This review is yet again formal because its not just a casual discussion on what they
just liked. They used a lot of media language and did all the things you should do
when reviewing a film.
• Audience appeal? Why would they want to listen to it?
• This is a interesting review because the way the reviewer talks a lot about how the
director has given the characters in the film a lot of personification.

5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products
have?
• The common features that I found when researching the three was that they were all
formal, with them being written in a official script and with them not giving away any
type of spoilers.
• Also another feature which makes them all very similar is the media type of language,
and how brilliantly not only were the characters in the movie but the actors and how
good the film is for its balance of the darkness and lightness.
• What aspects of the research will you include within
your on work?
• I would like my work to be displayed in a formal manner, with it being short but with
there being a lot said in the amount of time that has given.
• I would also like to talk a lot more about what the public feel the series is like and
what the future is for fantastic beasts, displayed in a similar way for both films. As
the film is known mostly for its set up for the future films to come.
7. Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range
15-30 • I have aimed the audience at this age range
because even though it’s not a adult film
the terminology would not be understood
by anyone younger when listening and
would not often listen or watch reviews
anyway.
Gender
mixed • The reason I have put the gender as mixed is
because both gender are just as interested
as in the franchise with them them growing
up and watching all these family films.
Psychographic
belonger • I put my audience in with belonger as
someone who has grown up with the series
is very invested and this review mabye
aimed at some harry harry potter fans and
are not as interested in the harry potter
films.
Social Status
Type A • I would put my target audience in with type
A because they definitely would be
bothered on others opinions on harry
potter/fantastic beast films and that’s why
