Training, myLearning, Process and Quality.
Ensure staff compliance with myLearning. Provide support to staff to fully understand their training
requirements.
Assign relevant Curricula and Job Codes for Users to myLearning.
Run weekly reports to ensure compliance and attend weekly live meetings.

Ensure Apprentices receive the relevant external training to complete the Art & Design NVQ.

Prepare STPs for oversee Industrial Work Placements, liaising with PASS Creative in Verona to
confirm content of placement. Book travel as required.

Projects
Managed closure program of one house relocating residents to our other property. This was
particularly difficult due to the age and needs of our residents. Relocation also involved the
refurbishment of accommodation liaising with tradesmen.
Managed staff redundancies.
During my time as Manager of Abbeyfield I had full responsibility for the day to day running of each
house. I was responsible for the recruitment, training and development of staff in addition to the
regulatory requirements of working in the Health & Social Care sector. As a small business I gained
valuable experience in accounting and the importance of budgeting. I also learnt the value of good staff
that are correctly trained, motivated and are reliable.
Teesdale School Examinations Department 2001 - 2003
Responsible for Examination Entries.

At Teesdale School as the examinations officer I had to ensure the recording and safe keeping of all
examination documents. During this time I was subject to several on the spot inspections by the
Examinations Body. Again the systems and documentation were satisfactory. Regularcontact with
students to ensure they understood their examination timetable, Special Education Needs were met
and if required Special Considerations applied for. Prepared students examination timetables and
collected examination fees as required.

During my time I enjoyed the experience of working in production, something I had not done before. I
still recall the importance of line clearance, sops, and working in a safe environment. I really learnt the
values of gsk and understood the aims of the company at that time. The experience I gained working in a
secretarial team has assisted in my career time and time again.
EBAC 1990 - 1991
Quality Assurance Auditor in the QA Department. Company was aiming for BS5750 accreditation
and I was involved in an audit over 5 days. At the sum up meeting I was praised for my approach to
a department that was initially reluctant to adhere to the new Quality Assurance approach. The
company was successful and granted BS5750 part 1.
5. A brief time but learnt the value of speaking up if you have concerns about following process and
procedures. I learnt the value of working with different teams and appreciating the challenges other
colleagues have.
Wm Smith & Sons Limited (Sign company supplying Logos, Graphics and Signs 1983 - 1990

Processed order for logos and signs via phone, fax and post.
Prepared quotations for customers and advised on sizes of letters suitable for signs

I enjoyed with day to day contact with the customers using my knowledge of the products and

deadlines. Some products were guaranteed to be dispatched the same day if ordered before
12.00noon. Therefore it was essential that orders were right first time.
Due to my excellent customer relationships I was asked to be part of the marketing team and
represented the company and trade events throughout the UK. I was also the key contact for most
customer visits.
