Colour Scheme-the colour
scheme of the poster will be
based on bright and bold
colours such as blue, purple,
green and pink. Pink represents
excitement which would relate to
the festival because it is where
young people and adults can
enjoy themselves. I have chosen
these particular colours
because it will catch the
audiences attention as the
festival will be a big and popular
event.
Target Audience-the target audience for
the poster is targeted at 16-25 year olds
as the poster has a colourful background
which includes bright colours and bold
writing, meaning it is advertised at only
young people and adults.
Logo name-the Logo name of the festival is going
to be called “Sound Wave” I have chosen this
name because the word “Sound” would link to the
music industry as they choose different types of
sounds to attract different people and the word
“Wave” because it would describe young people
enjoying themselves within a festival.
Frequency of Release- I am going to
start to release the pricing of the
festival for example how much it is
going to be per person, then I am
going to release the main heading of
the festival so viewers will become
more familiar with it.
Logo Designs-for the logo design of the
festival, I have chosen the main colour
to be black and I have also linked it
with a drop shadow with the colour
blue because it is similar to my poster
and advert of inspiration.
Marketing- I have chosen to market
the festival by using print based
advertisements such as a poster in
order to advertise the festival
overall. I have chosen this because
it will catch the audiences attention
if they were to come across the
poster.

This is my poster for my festival that I have created. I plan to create a poster using
my hand drawn draft as inspiration. I have chosen bold and bright colours such as

Festival house style and fonts
Font-within my festival I have chosen a font
from the website DAFONT.COM, I have
particularly chosen the font Prometheus as it
was similar to my festival of inspiration.
Colour scheme-for my festival logo I have chosen the colours blue and black to
feature on the poster and advert as it would link to my festival of Inspiration which is
wireless. I have chosen this particular colours because Wireless festival have also
chosen these colours and I wanted it to look like my festival of inspiration.

Within the wireless festival poster
from 2016, they have included many
shapes and colour in order to attract
teenagers to the event.
The festival have used different types
of shapes in different angles on the
poster to suggest that it is exciting and
unexpected for viewers.
On the poster they have used a font
which is used quite a lot by the public
which could imply that anyone could
attend the festival as it is open to the
public.
Advert of Inspiration
The main headline from the
advert “Wireless” is
promoted using a dark blue
colour which is produced in
a larger font to show the
brand name. I will repeat
this by using a different
name that I'm going to use
for my print based
advertisement in order to
attract the audiences
attention by introducing
them to the festival.
The target audience for the
print based advertisement is
going to aimed at 16-25 year
olds within the category C
according to the socio-
economics needs graph
because the it will be aimed
at mostly older people and
adults that share different
interests in music.

base the genre on rap, Pop and Hip Hop.
I am going to be including artists such as
Justin Bieber, Krept & Konan, Drake, Jess
Glynne for example. I have chosen these
particular artists because it would relate to

Audio-visual advertisement
I could create an audio visual advertisement to broadcast on TV, I am going
to include different music artists and clips of music for example Calvin
Harris, Jess Glynne, Justin Bieber, Big Sean. These artists will be promoting
the festival on websites, TV and on social media. While I am creating the
poster and other advertisements I will also be including the plan for the
audio-visual advertisement. You can see that the advertisements will be
released on the same date above.

This is where I am going to be recruit the staff and equipment for sound wave festival.
Key Dates
I am going to be launching my advertisements for both the poster and advert and audio-
visual advertisement on the 21st April. I have chosen this date because it is 3 months
before the festival starts therefore it gives the audience time to tell their friends and
purchase tickets.
Calendar Events
•The festival “Sound wave” will be published on the 21th April 2016, I have
chosen this particular date as it is near the summer term and it is not too
busy to buy tickets. I am going to be including the up and coming artists
which I have included on my poster and advert. On the cover of my poster i
have included different types of radio stations for example “Capital” as
they are going to be promoting the festival on the radio.
Location
Before taking images for my Festival, I had to
make sure that I had a location where I will be
able to take these images. I have taken these
images at a friends house, this will also imply
what type of equipment I will need so that I am
able to take them at a suitable quality and it
will also make me aware of any possible
risks/hazards that could happen in the process.
Furthermore, I have taken some images of the
equipment that I will be using within the
process in order to take the images, I used a
digital canon camera, I have used this while
changing the settings each time so that I can
get a better quality image. I am going to be
using Jessica Blundell as the model, I am going
to produce a a release form where I will use it
to gain her permission to take pictures of her. I
am going to be using the software Photoshop

Equipment
I have chosen to use a canon camera from John Lewis in order to
take the pictures I wanted to use for the poster and audio-visual
advertisement. The camera is going to cost £1,249.00 as I am
going to be taking images at a good quality.

images I am going to be taking because I will be able to

borrowing a canon camera from my school to take these

Blundell as my model because she has a natural look
and she would fit the part.

While I am going to be taking images at a friends house,
there are some risks and hazards I will need to take into
consideration before doing so. While taking images there
could be a possibility that I could drop the camera
Risk Assessment – Form
I completed an industry standard risk assessment form before taking pictures for the festival. I had
to look into what to take, transport, camera and lighting, sound and what the director should use. I
had to do a risk assessment before hand because it will make sure I was protecting myself and the
person I was taking pictures of from any risks or hazards, I have ensured that I have covered all
aspects of risks that could happen.

Magazine advertising rates
As I will also make an advert to go inside a magazine of the festival, I am going to put a full
page into the magazine sound 3 months, this is going to be £3,025x3=9,075
I am also going to advertise my poster in Q magazine, I will also have 3-4 pages which is
going to cost the same amount.
Cost of producing the posters
I am going to be producing 750 posters to the public which is going
to cost £120.

Within Wireless festival, their day ticket prices start from £55.00 on a Friday 2017 and increase if
customers are wanting to stay for 2 or three days. The highest price they charge would be for a 3
day weekend which costs £162.00. Wireless festival have chosen this particular prices because it
would it would be an average price where customers will be able to afford. Furthermore Wireless
festival releases the advertisements and prices as students will be able to save up their money so
they will be able to purchase a ticket.

M2 - Legal and Ethical Constraints
During the making of my poster and advert, I will have to follow some legal and ethical issues
in order for it to come successful. I will firstly have to make sure that I don’t mislead my
advertising products, this would mean that everything that has been published must be
accurate to the audience. This will ensure that I haven't used any incorrect information that
may be considered untrustworthy. Secondly, I will have to make sure that do not use any
offensive or violent language, this would mean that I will have to be professional about what I
have published within the making of the products. Thirdly, I would have to make sure that I
have copyrighted my products so that no other company will be able to access them without
permission. This will demonstrate that the company are professional within the making of the
products. Overall the legal and ethical constraints within the products will help it to become
for professional and to ensure that I am not using any misleading language towards the
audience and also that I am not using any information I have been given without permission.
These steps will therefore able me to create these products in order to promote the festival.

  • 4. Mind Map Print based Advertisement Colour Scheme-the colour scheme of the poster will be based on bright and bold colours such as blue, purple, green and pink. Pink represents excitement which would relate to the festival because it is where young people and adults can enjoy themselves. I have chosen these particular colours because it will catch the audiences attention as the festival will be a big and popular event. Target Audience-the target audience for the poster is targeted at 16-25 year olds as the poster has a colourful background which includes bright colours and bold writing, meaning it is advertised at only young people and adults. Logo name-the Logo name of the festival is going to be called “Sound Wave” I have chosen this name because the word “Sound” would link to the music industry as they choose different types of sounds to attract different people and the word “Wave” because it would describe young people enjoying themselves within a festival. Frequency of Release- I am going to start to release the pricing of the festival for example how much it is going to be per person, then I am going to release the main heading of the festival so viewers will become more familiar with it. Logo Designs-for the logo design of the festival, I have chosen the main colour to be black and I have also linked it with a drop shadow with the colour blue because it is similar to my poster and advert of inspiration. Marketing- I have chosen to market the festival by using print based advertisements such as a poster in order to advertise the festival overall. I have chosen this because it will catch the audiences attention if they were to come across the poster. Slogan- ”Good time, good music, good memories” Dates of festival – 8th – 10th July 2017 Poster and Advert released to audience – April 28th 2017 so they can purchase their tickets and so the festival is out there for everyone to know.

Festival house style and fonts Font-within my festival I have chosen a font from the website DAFONT.COM, I have particularly chosen the font Prometheus as it was similar to my festival of inspiration. Colour scheme-for my festival logo I have chosen the colours blue and black to feature on the poster and advert as it would link to my festival of Inspiration which is wireless. I have chosen this particular colours because Wireless festival have also chosen these colours and I wanted it to look like my festival of inspiration.
  • 12. Analysis of the Wireless festival poster Within the wireless festival poster from 2016, they have included many shapes and colour in order to attract teenagers to the event. The festival have used different types of shapes in different angles on the poster to suggest that it is exciting and unexpected for viewers. On the poster they have used a font which is used quite a lot by the public which could imply that anyone could attend the festival as it is open to the public.
  • 13. Advert of Inspiration The main headline from the advert “Wireless” is promoted using a dark blue colour which is produced in a larger font to show the brand name. I will repeat this by using a different name that I'm going to use for my print based advertisement in order to attract the audiences attention by introducing them to the festival. The target audience for the print based advertisement is going to aimed at 16-25 year olds within the category C according to the socio- economics needs graph because the it will be aimed at mostly older people and adults that share different interests in music. The poster has used different colour’s such as blue, pink, green, purple and white to connote that the festival is trying to attract young adults. They have also used produced the artist’s names that are more important and popular in a larger font to show people they are the main acts of the event. I will repeat this step within my print based advertisement is connote I have chosen Wireless festival as my inspiration.

I am going to be including artists such as Justin Bieber, Krept & Konan, Drake, Jess Glynne for example. I have chosen these particular artists because it would relate to my Festivals genre which is Rap, Pop and Hip Hop.

Audio-visual advertisement I could create an audio visual advertisement to broadcast on TV, I am going to include different music artists and clips of music for example Calvin Harris, Jess Glynne, Justin Bieber, Big Sean. These artists will be promoting the festival on websites, TV and on social media. While I am creating the poster and other advertisements I will also be including the plan for the audio-visual advertisement. You can see that the advertisements will be released on the same date above.

  • 22. Key Dates I am going to be launching my advertisements for both the poster and advert and audio- visual advertisement on the 21st April. I have chosen this date because it is 3 months before the festival starts therefore it gives the audience time to tell their friends and purchase tickets.
  • 23. Calendar Events •The festival “Sound wave” will be published on the 21th April 2016, I have chosen this particular date as it is near the summer term and it is not too busy to buy tickets. I am going to be including the up and coming artists which I have included on my poster and advert. On the cover of my poster i have included different types of radio stations for example “Capital” as they are going to be promoting the festival on the radio.
  • 24. Location Before taking images for my Festival, I had to make sure that I had a location where I will be able to take these images. I have taken these images at a friends house, this will also imply what type of equipment I will need so that I am able to take them at a suitable quality and it will also make me aware of any possible risks/hazards that could happen in the process. Furthermore, I have taken some images of the equipment that I will be using within the process in order to take the images, I used a digital canon camera, I have used this while changing the settings each time so that I can get a better quality image. I am going to be using Jessica Blundell as the model, I am going to produce a a release form where I will use it to gain her permission to take pictures of her.   • 26. Location Recce Location Time- Date- Why- I am going to be taking pictures at a friends house as I wont have to gain permission and so I will be able to take the images at a better quality. I am going to be using long and close up shots within the images I am going to be taking because I will be able to capture the quality of the image. I can going to be borrowing a canon camera from my school to take these images as it would be more professional. The model is going to be wearing causal clothing as it is for a festival it is going to be inspired as, I am going to be using Jessica Blundell as my model because she has a natural look and she would fit the part. In order to take pictures of the model, I am going to be making a permission form which she will have to sign in order to gain her permission. Potential Hazards/Risks Specific Location Why? While I am going to be taking images at a friends house, there are some risks and hazards I will need to take into consideration before doing so. While taking images there could be a possibility that I could drop the camera
  • 27. Risk Assessment – Form I completed an industry standard risk assessment form before taking pictures for the festival. I had to look into what to take, transport, camera and lighting, sound and what the director should use. I had to do a risk assessment before hand because it will make sure I was protecting myself and the person I was taking pictures of from any risks or hazards, I have ensured that I have covered all aspects of risks that could happen.

Magazine advertising rates As I will also make an advert to go inside a magazine of the festival, I am going to put a full page into the magazine sound 3 months, this is going to be £3,025x3=9,075 I am also going to advertise my poster in Q magazine, I will also have 3-4 pages which is going to cost the same amount.

Furthermore Wireless festival releases the advertisements and prices as students will be able to save up their money so they will be able to purchase a ticket.

  • 33. M2 - Legal and Ethical Constraints During the making of my poster and advert, I will have to follow some legal and ethical issues in order for it to come successful. I will firstly have to make sure that I don’t mislead my advertising products, this would mean that everything that has been published must be accurate to the audience. This will ensure that I haven't used any incorrect information that may be considered untrustworthy. Secondly, I will have to make sure that do not use any offensive or violent language, this would mean that I will have to be professional about what I have published within the making of the products. Thirdly, I would have to make sure that I have copyrighted my products so that no other company will be able to access them without permission. This will demonstrate that the company are professional within the making of the products. Overall the legal and ethical constraints within the products will help it to become for professional and to ensure that I am not using any misleading language towards the audience and also that I am not using any information I have been given without permission. These steps will therefore able me to create these products in order to promote the festival.
