Research shows that females are more drawn to the complex psychological stories and behaviors depicted in these films. Data indicates that while thrillers in general have around a 0.5% female audience, psychological thrillers likely have a similar gender mix with 60% female viewers and 40% male. The target audience for this discussed psychological thriller film would be predominantly female viewers around age 18 or older, reflecting the common 18+ age rating for films in this genre.

Also, the statistics are fairly similar which means that this
genre will most likely be aimed at quite a mix of genders.
I have decided that my film will most likely be aimed at 60%
females and 40% males.These statistics are quite similar with
females being the slightly more predominant target audience.This
statistic reflects my research.
