2. The amount of men compared to women who go to
watch thrillers
Within the box office the amount of men who go to
thrillers compared to women is less as it seems that
more women watch thrillers in the box office
compared to men. This might suggest that women like
thrillers more compared to men. It could also show
the amount of leisure that women have as men have
more products and activities that appeal to them
compared to women generally. What this could mean
is that when creating my thriller movie I would have to
take notice of women add characters and themes that
would appeal to women slightly without heavenly
ignoring men's desires.
3. The comparisons of age who go to view thrillers
The diagram shows the a the mount of people who go to
watch thrillers between their age groups. In this statistic it
shows that the age groups who dominate the box office are
the 14-17 year olds and the 18-24 year olds plus 50 year .
The reason for this could be that this age group tend to have
more disposable income as they do not have to pay bills.
People over the age of 50 may opt to watch thriller movies
as they have free time in that age group that includes
pensioners and pensioners aren't as active as the younger
years . With this data collected to try to gain maximum profit
from my movie I will have to be able to relate to the younger
audience and the older audiences that may mean on screen
there will be a mixture of visual elements that appeal to both
groups, the same with audio and the character base.
4. Class
• Socio-Economic Background:
• Thriller does not really have a set target audience as it is really broad but it is
said that due to the reliability of the characters and actors within the film
• Household names such as Hugh Jackman make it relatable to the working
class
• It may also be relatable to the working class because the people who tend to
view these films are young adults still in education
• It may also appeal to the middle class due to the characters portrayed in the
movies are more investigative characters like professors or detectives
linking to the theme of problem solving
•
