Beginswith an establishing shotof a bedroomwith CharacterA stood in the centre, looking atthe
floor.The camera zoomsin to becomea close up shotof the characterand at this point,the
characterlooksup fromthefloor and looksdirectly down thecamera.CharacterA now beginsto
screamand the shotmovesout so thatit’s an establishing shotof the characterin the centre of shot
seemingly having a mental breakdown.Asthecharacterisseen to ‘loseit,’ variousshotsof her and a
‘friend’flash into the scene. Violin, suspensetypemusicbeginsto play in the background.
The first shotthatflashesacrossbeginswith a wide shotof a house.The Friend walksinto shotand
towardsthehouse.Asshegoesto open the gatein frontof thehouse,CharacterA calls to her. The
Friend turnsand smiles atCharacterA who runsto her.They both walkthrough thegateand into the
housewhilstchatting.
Nowwe return to the shotof CharacterA in thebedroomhaving a mentalbreakdown.
Next,a shotflashesacrossthescreen whereit’s darkand CharacterA is dancing with The Friend. The
camera pansto followthem.
Once again,wereturn to the shotof CharacterA in the bedroomwho isbecoming increasingly
catatonic.
Next,anothershotflashesacrossthescreen which is an aerial shotof both characterslaying in grass
on a sunny day.They are chatting and laughing.
Again, wereturn to the shotof CharacterA in the bedroomwho isbecoming more and more
catatonic.
Now,a shotcomes acrossthescreen which is anothershotin thedark.It showsa wide shotwhere
bothcharacters are running towardsthecamera laughing.
This time, upon returning to the shotof CharacterA in the bedroom,sheiscompletely catatonic.
The music beginsto get more franticas previousshotsarerepeated and flash acrossthescreen much
faster,interspersed withCharacterA getting moreand more frantic.
This section endswitha close up shotof The Friend smiling but the smile beginsto turn into
confusion and then anger.Wecut backto CharacterA stood in the bedroomcompletely still apart
fromheavy breathing and looking directly down thecamera. There is no musicnow in orderto
accentuateCharacterA’sheavy breathing.
Now,wecut to a differentshotof CharacterA walking into a differentroom,picking up a rucksack
and walking outof the room.Sheleaves the houseand getson a bike.
A tracking shotfollowsthecharacter asshe cycles down a low lit road. A voiceoveris playing overthe
top of thisscene in CharacterA’svoice. Quiet violin musicplaysover the voiceoverto add
atmosphere.
Voiceover:
I am your friend; the person who stands by you no matter what and would crush anyone who
dared to cause you to shed a precious tear. During long summer nights when blood runs thin and
youth feels as though it could last for eternity, I hold you as your sorrows eat you alive and hold
you tighter as you lie and tell me that it will all be ok. Gently, I brush away the tears that stain
your cheeks and fill your ears with reassurance.

Voiceovercontinuesoverthe top of this.
Voiceover:
I know exactly what words to say to make you feel good again. I know you, I understand you, and I
would do anything for you.
The Friend is saton a chair in the garden drinking a drink.She turnsaround atthenoise of Character
A entering and she lookssurprised.
The Friend:
Overthe shouldershotof The Friend who beginsto stand as shespeaks.
What are you doing here? Who even are you?
Character A:
The camera cuts to a low angleshotof CharacterA who is holding a gun and looking directly down
the camera. Shehasno expression on herface.
I am your friend.
CharacterA shootsTheFriend and, as thegun shotis heard,thescreen cutsto black and there’s
completesilence.
The title sequenceappearsand themusicfromthe beginning startsto play again.
