L'Insee a publié le 6 février 2017, une analyse portant sur l'infrastructure TGV. L'étude de l'Insee tente de déterminer su l'infrastructure TGV est un facteur de compétitivité pour les entreprises? L'impact du TGV: une augmentation du taux de marge et de la productivité Selon L'Insee, en France, les entreprises ou les groupes dispersés sur plusieurs sites de production ont un poids économique très important. En 2011, en incluant les filiales de groupes étrangers, ces structures emploient 56% de la main d’œuvre salariée du secteur marchand. D'après l'Insee, en réduisant les temps de trajet entre leurs sites, les infrastructures de transport telles que celles du TGV sont susceptibles de diminuer les coûts de gestion de ces organisations complexes. L'étude de l'Insee révèle que lorsque le temps de parcours entre un "quartier général" et l'un de ses sites distants diminue grâce à l'extension du réseau TGV, l'entreprise ou le groupe tendent à se réorganiser: l'emploi alloué aux activités de production des sites distants augmente au détriment des fonctions managériales, partiellement transférés aux quartiers généraux L’ampleur de ces ré-allocations diffère cependant selon le secteur d’activité.Dans les services aux particuliers,un site bénéficiant du TGV réduit de 2,7 points la part des emplois de managers dans son emploi total. En contrepartie,il accroît de 3,0 points la part de ses emplois liés à la production.

Eurostat a publié, le 31 janvier 2017, un communiqué de presse, relatif au taux d'inflation de la zone euro. Le taux d'inflation annuel de la zone euro est estimé à 1,8% en janvier 2017, contre 1,1% en décembre 2016 S'agissant des principales composantes de l'inflation de la zone euro, l'énergie devrait connaître le taux annuel le plus élevé en janvier (8,1%, comparé à 2,6% en décembre), suivis de l'alimentation, alcool & tabac (1,7%, comparé à 1,2% en décembre), des services (1,2%, comparé à 1,3% en décembre) et des biens industriels non énergétiques (0,5%, comparé à 0,3% en décembre).

Un accord relatif à la classification a été signé le 30 juin 2016 dans la CCN des administrateurs et mandataires judiciaires. Les partenaires sociaux ont mis à jour la classification afin d'intégrer la nouvelle filière de mandataire et administrateur judiciaire salarié créé par la loi Macron. L'accord précise que que le mandataire et administrateur judiciaire salarié a un statut cadre et que son salaire mensuel est de 6 000 euros bruts. L'accord est conclu pour une durée indéterminée et entre en vigueur dès les formalités de dépôt accomplies. Les organisations d'employeurs signataires de l'accord sont l'ASPAJ, l'IFPPC et l'AMJ. Les syndicat de salariés signataires sont la CGT, la CGC-SPAAC CFE-CGC, la fédération des services CFDT et la CFTC-CSFV.

The Michigan Energy Forum will explore new developments in Residential Energy Management, exploring the recent explosion of commercially available technologies and firms offering them to consumers. While commercial energy management is a multi-billion dollar industry, residential energy management has lagged far behind. Three years ago, the few consumers who were interested in residential energy management had to buy hundreds of dollars worth of home automation controls from niche online retailers unless they were lucky enough to participate in pilot programs offered by electrical utility companies testing "smart home" and "demand response" programs. Today, television commercials invite consumers to lease the devices they need to control smart lights, plugs, thermostats and appliances including washers, dryers, thermostats, and water heaters, all for a flat monthly fee from firms such Cable TV giant Comcast, home security giant ADT, and new home automation firms such as Vivint. The MEF will explore these and other technologies that are now, or may soon be, commercially available to help manage and reduce, residential energy consumption. They're one of the most attractive models for remote community electrification. They're scalable, and flexible, and capable of supplying power at levels that really permit productive use to be made of the power. But at the same time, they raise alot of questions - what is the most appropriate structure, size, payment system etc for a particular local community. Getting these things wrong has led to systems failing, or not having the development impact they were intended to have. To try to address some of these issues, Energy Action Partners have devised their Minigrid Game. This is a collaborative role-playing game built around a representation of a minigrid system, intended to be used as an educational and collaborative planning tool in designing a community-sized minigrid system. The game is designed to be used within a process that explores minigrid planning and operational decisions. The Minigrid Game is a completely novel way for communities to develop workable solutions to the unique challenges of managing a community minigrid, such as system sizing, tariff-setting, and demand-side management. By playing as a group, the players can also improve their understanding of energy technology, practice negotiation and consensus-building skills, and most importantly, have fun. In this webinar, we were joined by experts presenting on diverse aspects of this complex challenge, including Prof Gina Porter and Dr Arash Azizi of the University of Durham, Dipak Gyawali, former Minister of Water Resources in Nepal and Chair of the Nepal Water Conservation Foundation, and Dr Ben Campbell from the UK Low Carbon Energy Development Network. As a follow-up to this conference, we held two webinars to share highlights from the conference. The first webinar focussed on energy justice. This month, we examined a second theme from the conference, and focused on questions of how academic research can best have impact at the grassroots of energy access and productive use, how that "knowledge gap" can be closed, and what some of the most effective solutions might be for ensuring that research can be applied effectively and equitably. The speakers included Practical Action's Sarah Begg, who has been leading a participatory learning study with LCEDN looking at how academic research impacts the grassroots. She will be joined by her colleague from Practical Action's Bangladesh office, Iffat Khan, who will present some of the specific outcomes and experiences of the study in Bangladesh. Finally, the Smart Villages Initiative will share the global perspectives they have been able to gather on bridging academic research and making it relevant to energy access practitioners, entrepreneurs, and rural communities.
