This document discusses the learning process from a preliminary task to a full product. It notes that for the full product, more aspects of the topic were evaluated, including testing fonts, sketches, and props. Time was better planned to allow for research, planning and evaluations rather than last minute work. New skills in Photoshop and InDesign were developed for the full product, including using tools like the magnetic lasso, clone stamp, picture box and type tools that weren't used in the preliminary task.
1. Looking at your preliminary task, what do you feel
you have learnt in the progression from it to the full
product ?
2. Planning and Research
• In my planning and
research for my
primary product, i
decided to evaluate
more aspects of the
magazine, and test
out fonts, sketches
and props for the
modelling. I also
drafted out
models, rather than
simply choosing
them like in the
preliminary task.
NEW EVALUATIONS. OLD EVALUATION
3. Organisation of time
• Previously in my
preliminary
task, I had not
planned my time
well
enough, and
ended up
cramming on
deadline day.
This time
however, I
planned both
research and
planning and
evaluations.
4. Photoshop
• When
completing my
primary piece, i
developed lots Opacity
of key new skills
that i had not Magnettic lasso tool
known how to
use in my
previous
preliminary task.
As well as the magnetic lasso tool, i also learnt how
to use clone stamping tool which enabled me to
directly transfer some of an image on another
section of it.
5. Picture box tool
Indesign
• As well as photoshop, I
have developed my skills
using Indesign also, and
incorporated many new
skills into my production
piece that i did not use in
my preliminary task.
