Throughout the process of creating a final media magazine, the author learned several skills. They gained proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign. Their preliminary content page used only one color with contrasting text and jagged pictures, but for the final product they realized a plain black or white background would look more professional. The author also improved their aesthetic judgement and ability to properly place edited images. Additionally, their photos for the final product were better planned and represented the audience more due to scheduling a photoshoot rather than impromptu phone pictures. The author's color awareness increased as well, using a blended range of colors rather than bold blocks.
