When I think about the role of a Father, correction and discipline are the first elements of his responsibility that comes to mind. We have a Father in Heaven who corrects and disciplines us in life to prepare us for our eternal one. I was speaking with Nathan Bean and he insisted I include one of the songs I have written in this issue of the bulletin. I told him I would, so here it is Nathan. The song catego- rizes our relationship with the Father concerning 2 Peter 3:9. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” God expects us to live a life of repentance from sin. This will take an entire rearranging of our priority and life. The title of the song is “Rearrange Me.” My Savior when I fall Pierce my heart in two Help me live the life That you command me to Praying to the Father... Chorus I know what I must do Please help me follow through Cause selfish tendencies Have brought me misery Praying to the Father... Chorus Now that my life's been changed completely rearranged Your will be done not mine Until the end of time Praying to the Father... Chorus Chorus: I need You more than ever This storm is more Than my heart can weather I need You every day I know You've paved the way To rearrange me oh please change me.
