2. ANCILLARIES
• POSTER
• We headed to our second stage focus group about our poster ideas
and the group was helpful with their responses.
• First in terms of the photo used itself. We presented the focus
group with five different photographs we were deciding on for our
poster. With some deliberation, the group agreed that this image
would be best suited for the poster.
• From that choice we went away and created three mock up
posters (example of one on the right). This allowed us to have the
main input and then able to take criticism and ideas on what to
improve on.
• This criticism ended up helping us create the final outcome with
the reflection being an idea from one of the focus group.
3. • REVIEW PAGE
• The review page followed a similar process to the poster,
with having many photographs, narrowing them down to
one, then creating three mock ups and then going back
and fourth with the group to create the best page we
could. This process was harder though, as we had to take
into account the text; the tone of it to suit the tone of
the page, the things to mention and things to leave out
and most importantly – the amount of stars it would
receive.
4. • MAIN PRODUCTION
• The focus group was instrumental to some of the key components
of our main construction. Most notably the idea to have our main
character homosexual. This came about by our first actor being
unavailable and so the suggestion of having a female lead was put
to the focus group. The conversation then turned to his girlfriend
in the piece when one member suggested that the girlfriend had
no need to change and we could have our character as a
homosexual female which in turn, played well to our pluralistic
view we was trying to create with the character.
