2. POSTER
• A films poster is similar to a blurb on a book; it entices
the audience into wanting to watch/read the main text,
so continuity is important between the two.
• I feel the poster has this continuity as it uses the same
actress and background which can be seen in the main
production as well as the same typography used as the
opening title sequence. These things give the same feel
between both pieces and so allows the audience to get an
understanding of the type of film it will be.
• There is also a subtle hint of the plot twist in the poster
itself, something not too common in short film posters,
however I feel it added more depth to the poster and in
turn, raising more hermenutic codes.

3. REVIEW PAGE
Unlike the poster, a review page isn’t created by the
same people who create the main piece and instead, is
meant to provide an opinion from a unbiased
perspective. This means the overall brand, language and
general aesthetics will have no correlation to the short
film.
My review page is intended to have a calm, flat tone in
terms of design language which is different to the sad
romance of the short film.
The review page isn’t intended to promote the short,
however it is intended to inform so the audience can
decide for themselves whether to watch it
