The Role Of Deception In Macbeth
Is he telling the truth? The answer could lie in his eyes. Shakespeare's Macbeth is a tragic play filled with deceit and deception. However, an
understanding of body language, speech patterns, and even reactionary emotions would have revealed the title character's true malice. The traditional
proverb, the eyes are the window to the soul, is correct in its assertion that dishonesty can be detected through speech and the physical movements of
the body.
Macbeth, though inexperienced at the beginning of the play, becomes adept at lying by the end. Although it may be true, methods exist to tell when he
is untruthful. According to the FBI in "The Truth About Lying: What Investigators Need to Know", concealment and gross falsification are the two
most common forms of lying. After Macbeth murders Duncan, he admits to killing the guards outside his chambers. Doing so conceals his
involvement in the more damning crime. He additionally falsifies events in order to pin the murder on the dead guards, who can conveniently no
longer contradict him. The sheer amount of over explanation for his actions and whereabouts, points towards Macbeth lying. ... Show more content on

In reality, even more speech patterns besides over explanation can incriminate a liar. For instance, repetition. The dinner party, in which Macbeth
mourns the lack of Banquo's presence to his guests, contains dialogue where he excessively repeats the word all. Reiteration is a tell someone is lying.
Consequently, Macbeth is deceitful while addressing his guests because he contracted Banquo's murder. One can falsify words, but it is much more
difficult to fake how often phrases are repeated. Therefore, speech patterns are an effective method to detect attempted

The Leo Frank Case Reconsidered: Reactionary Populism
In the article "The Leo Frank Case Reconsidered: Gender and Sexual Politics in the Making of Reactionary Populism", author Nancy MacLean
focused on one of the most famous and controversial court cases in American history. The Leo Frank Case involved a Jewish pencil factory manager
named Leo Frank who was charged, convicted, and eventually hanged by anti–Semitics for the crime of killing and raping a 13–year–old employee
named Mary Phagan. During the case, despite feelings of resentment of the urban elites by the working class, and the use of anti–Semitism as
justification by Frank's enemies for his guilt, one of the biggest themes MacLean points to was gender. Throughout the article, MacLean showed
various ways in which gender played a pivotal role. One example of how MacLean showed how gender was a major theme in the case was by
paternalism. With many women leaving home and becoming employees, many fathers who had control over... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason is because anti–Semitism and class played just as much of a role in the court case. As mentioned earlier, the urban elites who had
maintained control of Georgia, were hated by the working class whites. Leo Frank was apart of the urban elite, and to make matters worse was the
fact that he was also Jewish. Jews were stereotyped by anti–Semitics as dirty money stealers and takers of gentile women. With both his status in the
elite as a business manager as well as his race, the odds were stacked highly against Leo Frank, despite his guilt. Even if he was innocent, he still
would have probably been hanged due to his race and his elite status. Regardless of this fact, I think this article is a fantastic read for anybody who
wishes to learn more about the case. I would highly recommend

Reactionary Essay To If Aristotle Ran General Motors, By...
Introduction
In the book, If Aristotle Ran General Motors, Tom Morris argues that the teachings of the ancients can and should be applied to today's corporation. His
message is that the four virtues – truth, beauty, goodness, and unity – form the foundation of human excellence. Putting them into practice leads not
only to self–fulfillment, but ultimately to an open, nurturing, and ethical workplace that is more productive and successful in the long–term. The
purpose of this essay is to examine how Morris treats the system of ethics in relation to these four virtues.
Ethics and Big Business It's difficult not to be cynical about how "big business" treats the subject of ethics in today's world. In many corporations,

However, after reading further, I concluded that Morris' statement has a great deal of merit. He infers that this type of query is actually involved with
"self–interest, which is not the same thing as selfishness" (Morris p. 117). Asking this type of question can really mean that we are looking at the effect
something might have on our immediate or long–term personal fulfillment, financial security, etc. Doing the right thing is not always going to affect us
in some positive way immediately. In fact, we could suffer short–term negative effects by electing to do the right thing. But the long–term benefits to
our personal fulfillment will nearly always be positive, because doing the right thing brings blessings from the Lord. God honors right living.
Exhibiting spiritual health by behaving morally and ethically in all our dealings (both personal and in business), injects harmony into our lives. Morris
believes that harmony is at the heart of ethics. Spiritually healthy people create socially harmonious relationships just by the very act of doing the right
thing. My grandmother taught me that "there is no excuse for bad manners," and I have taken this little piece of wisdom with me throughout life.
People in today's world seem to have thrown away manners and have forgotten that common decency, basic kindness, concern, respect and courtesy can
not only open doors of opportunity, it literally defines their

The Soviet Revolution Of Russia
Like the swing of a pendulum, the Tsars of Russia would fluctuate between reforming the government and becoming reactionary to the situations in the
land. The Russian Tsars/Tsarinas, considered themselves the father or mother of the entire land and it was a very big land. Russian history had been
prone to revolutions. Many a Tsar found himself on the short end of a sword or just the right amount of poison in his drink. All of the monarchs of
Russia had this history in their minds when they began to rule but as the parent of their nation, they had no choice but to rule and do the best they
could. Revolution was part of Russian life. There had been uprisings and revolutions throughout its history. The 18th and 19th centuries saw a big
push toward "Westernizing" the country but as long as there were serfs; Russia could never truly be Western. The serfs were the biggest dilemma that
the Tsars faced. The happiness of a people can gauge whether a ruler stays in power or not. The majority of Russians were serf peasants, dependent on
their overlords for their bread and board. Their overlord was dependent on the serfs, the Tsar dependent on the nobles for their devotion and taxes.
Catherine the Great, the Tsarina of Russia from 1762 to 1796 was considered an "enlightened despot". She was a student of the Enlightenment and ruled
Russia with absolute devotion. Catherine was a patron of the arts, education and reform. She believed in the Enlightenment movement but the serfs

Watching the Solution to the Jewish Question from Afar
If you lived in the time of the Holocaust and you were a non–Jewish person, would you want to take the chance of fighting back and having the
consequences of your actions affect the lives of your family? Or would you just "go with the flow" and stand back as the Jewish people were
punished? This is a question that people in this time had to ask themselves. Some decided to take the chance and fight back, but many did not. Most
people, who had families to think about, chose to stand back from what was happening. Honestly, the non–Jewish people who chose to stand back had
every right to make this decision for themselves and their families.
Although the decision that was made by these people can be explained, some may not see it that way. Some may see it that the people who chose to
stand back were simply being weak or that they were immoral. They could've fought back if they wanted to, but they chose otherwise. They chose
what could be looked at as the, "easy way out". Another side to this could be that not everyone had a family to think about, and those who did have a
family could have acted in a way that didn't get them involved. They should've thought that maybe if they spoke out then other people would be more
willing to stand up for what was right. If the thought that one person can't make a change crossed their mind then they should've tried to get more
people together to fight back; they should've tried to take a stand. Even though this is all true, the non–Jewish people

Martin Luther And The Protestant Reformation
Over the course of history, there have been many of times where people have tried to fix things that were wrong by going back to what it once was.
These people were for the people and wanted all of their ideas and actions to benefit all of mankind. A prime example of a person to fix by amendment
is Martin Luther. In the early 15th century, theCatholic Church was under siege from criticism based off of corruptions and Catholic wrongdoings; this
time in history was known as the Protestant Reformation. The main catalyst in this revolution was none other than Martin Luther. Although Martin
Luther sparked rebellion and a revolution, he , himself, was a reactionary reformer in how he wanted to restore the church into what it once was. Martin

Another key detail is when Cardinal Cajetan also said that the bible is not for everyday people and that the Pope's interpretation is what is in God's
favor. The Cardinal's argument, although is accepted, should not be and it goes strictly against God's will for humanity and the Christian religion.
The scriptures were created by God in order for all to read and have their own interpretation on it. Luther believed in giving the common man the
scriptures and leaving the word of God up to interpretation to whoever reads from them, which shows he wants to go back to where the people could
read the word of God. Luther viewed all people as their own priests, as they journey through scriptures forming interpretations on their own conscience.
The Cardinal only strengthens Luther's point in that the catholic church is corrupt and Luther is trying to turn back time and relive the true days of
Christianity. Also showing Luther was a reactionary, Luther did not want to let the church take away the freedoms of christians that were clearly
stated in scriptures. Luther stated that he would not recant his ideas and works unless he could be proven wrong by the word of God alone, not by the
Pope and other religious authorities. Many church officials openly admitted that most of his works are from scripture and by recanting these works,
Luther would be recanting the word of God through the scriptures themselves. If Luther were

Why Is Teacher Committed Suicide
15. Teacher Committed Suicide
In 1966, the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (referred to as the Cultural Revolution) officially kicked off, as an avalanche, overcome with an
irresistible force, and as fierce floods and savage beasts –– great scourges came toward the campus.
I was studying in the ancient city medial school at the time. The school was located in the east part of the East Street (originally, Ren Wei concept
monastery, a Taoist temple), a historic juniorhigh school.
From the very beginningпјЊthe Cultural Revolution was outset with vigor and vitality, unstoppable. Commented on "Hai Rui Dismissed from Office"
which was a drama told the story about an upright, incorruptible good ancient official; criticized "Three Villagers" (Wu Han, Deng Tuo, Liao Mosa,
three famous writers and government officers), pulled out reactionary gangs, the campaign was coming one after one immediately. The movement was

denounced in large public assemble or small group meetings, nonstop by using wheels tactics. Lu Changxin dedicated himself to education, lifetime

The Wretched Of The Earth By Franz Fanon
Fanon One issue of Freud's psychoanalytic theories and the psychosexual stages is exposed through examining Frantz Fanon. During the 1950's Fanon
found residency in France and wrote about the impact of colonialism subjugation of blacks. The focus was on the negative psychological effects
brought out by the trauma of the events. Loss of personal identity, reactionary psychoses and defense mechanisms were all brought up related to the
war involving the algerians. An interesting conclusion from Fanon is that there are mental defenses to protect a person from mental disorders such as
Case No.1's wife. Its implied that simple differences, such as knowing the information a person is being tortured for, can greatly impact whether or not

"Freud believed the libido to be of crucial importance in personality, but he maintained that other impulses, particularly aggression, also play
significant shaping roles" (Lilienfeld, 2013). This compliments Fanon's findings within The Wretched Of The Earth. Rape, and by nature sexuality,
were used as tools of aggression. Although linked in use as a means of torture, both for the captive and those surrounding the victim's, credit must be
given to Freud's theory for correctly identifying sexuality and aggression as different traits. Unfortunately Trait theory, from Freud's perspective, still
relies heavily on genetic predisposition. The divergence from sexuality and aggression comes in the form of survivability. It's a reactionary response to
protect and survive that likely developed from our descendants. The largest flaw with the theory of aggression is that the id is claimed to operate on the
pleasure principle and immediate gratification. This reconnects aggression and sexuality in circumstances such as Fanon described. There is
gratification in domination by this assumption. Relating this to the story of Oedipus it could be viewed that killing his Father and laying with his
Mother are the same action in personality development. The mutual suppression of aggression and sexuality are necessary in continuing a child's
development beyond the Phallic

The Theme Of Life In The Stranger By Albert Camus
In the book, The Stranger by Albert Camus, it is about a man who instead, has a very, down and depressing look on life. The book first starts out with
the death of the main character, Meursault's mother. Then the author takes us on a crazy ride through Meursault's lonely and depressing life.
Throughout this book, there are many possible themes, like the reaction to violence or death, guilt and remorse, meaninglessness and hopelessness and
many more possibilities, but the theme that stands out the most in this book is the theme of meaninglessness and hopelessness and how Meursault
believes that nothing means anything and that there is no hope for anyone because we all have the same ending and it doesn't matter what you do until
that day. The way that the author conveys this theme is through tone, characterization, and Meursault's reactions to the events that took place in the
book. The author uses tone to help convey the theme of meaninglessness and hopelessness because he creates areas in the book that has more
depressing, and dark tones, which helps the readers to understand what is going on in the main character's head and what they are feeling. An example
of this is towards the end of the book when Meursault thinks "Nothing, nothing mattered, and I knew why. So did he. Throughout my whole life I'd
lived, a dark wind had been rising toward me from somewhere deep in my future, across years that were still to come, and as it passed, this wind

All throughout history African Americans have been discriminated against and always been at a disadvantage, whether it be in the courtroom, with
police officers, or just trying to be a normal American citizen. Recently many minority players are taking a stand against the prejudice injustices that
they face on an everyday basis. In response to the injustices they face, using their national fame, the athletes are raising awareness by taking a knee
during the National Anthem, in an attempt to peacefully protest. This bold form of protest has only occurred a handful amount of times, because of not

Humana Vitae: Destroying The Nature Of Sex
Sexual relationships have evolved over the centuries to create the current culture in which sex is a commodity to be sold, traded, and exploited out of
human carnal desire. This evolution was effected by numerous factors ranging from the Pill to biological understanding to individualistic tendencies.
As the place of sex changed in society the Church defined doctrinal principles, tried to remain relevant in the world, and sought to uphold the unitive
and sacramental nature of sex. Through councils and papal encyclicals the Church combatted the past and future factors and situations which added
fuel to the flame that was destroying the nature of sexual relations. This paper will argue that the papal encyclical Humana vitae sought to address the...

Humana vitae announces the fact that if contraceptives are continued to be used society will be negatively affected. Four trends that Paul VI
foreshadows in a society with widespread use of contraceptives include "a general lowering of moral standards throughout society; a rise in infidelity;
a lessening of respect for women by men; and the coercive use of reproductive technologies by governments" (II). The way in which Paul VI astutely
deducts these future trends is based in the Church's understanding of love, morality, sex, and God's design. Through such deduction Paul VI accurately
foretells of the harms that have plagued the world since the induction of contraceptives. As Mary Eberstadt points out the evidence that contraceptives
and the sexual revolution have greatly impacted all areas of life including family, children, opposite sex relationships, personal flourishing (II, III).
Other areas that have been impacted by contraceptives and reflect Paul VI's prophetic words include heightened and harsh feminism, arguing between
the lesser of two evils (overpopulation or birth control), giving rise to the modern gay–rights movement, and governmental control of citizens'
reproduction rights, (III–V). Eberstadt argues the same point as this paper, that Paul VI's words in Humana vitae were in fact prophetic because all
the consequences and more which he stated are effecting society and show that while the Pill "was supposed to erase all consequences of sex once and
for all, turned out to have huge consequences of its own" (Eberstadt,

Revolutionaries Vs Reactionaries
Unconventional or customary, minority or majority, widespread change or complacency. The existence of revolutionaries is predicated on reactionaries'
resistance to change. In history, there are documented examples of revolutionaries and reactionaries, which were the result of the call for political,
religious, or social change. The Civil War, The Civil Rights Movement, and most recently The Black Lives Matter Movement are all examples of events
that have demanded dramatic and comprehensive change. Although there is a spectrum between the two, the differences include society's perception,
ideology, worldview, and readiness and reaction to change. Society views revolutionaries as radical, provoking, and violent. Typically the minority

Conservative, customary, and dogmatic are how society describes reactionaries. They are typically the majority group and people in power who
view progression as a threat to a particular way of life. They hold traditional values and have a cynical view towards change that looks back in time,
versus forward. Unlike revolutionaries, reactionaries would like life to revert and restore a former way of life. Reactionaries tend to downplay the
emerging beliefs of the minority groups, or revolutionaries, to keep steadiness and order. Socially, reactionaries believe change happens when the
majority makes the decision to do so. Reactionaries tend to separate themselves from those with opposing and more liberal viewpoints. There are
absolute differences between revolutionaries and reactionaries. Fundamentally, they sometimes sit on opposite ends of the spectrum and are motivated
by different sources. As the world continues to advance and evolve, there will be a clashing of ideology between revolutionaries and reactionaries.
Revolution is necessary for the advancement of society in sociopolitical issues, innovations, religion, among others; reactionaries are also necessary to
remind society that some things work well how they

Fascism, Nietzsche, Power
Fascism, Nietzsche, Power
Nietzsche's writing about power dynamics and the creation of the "strong" and "weak," the "good" and the "bad," is very closely intertwined with
the workings of fascist ideology, and how it understands itself to be "strong." In a Nietzschean sense, however, fascism ultimately fails to be truly
"strong" because it creates itself as a reformed moralistic approach to power, rather than freeing itself from moralism. More specifically, the
construction of the Jews as "weak" by those who subscribe to fascist ideology, and the portrayal of themselves as "strong,"is almost wholly antithetical
Nietzsche's actual position concerning power dynamics. Instead, as Nietzsche lays out in The Genealogy of Morals, real power is ... Show more content

Nietzsche explains this struggle as a "slave morality," which can only survive if it has a force that acts against it so its existence is justified; the role
of opposition to the slave morality is occupied by the "strong." He writes "In order to exist at all, slave morality from the outset always needs an
opposing, outer world; in physiological terms, it needs external stimuli in order to act–its action is fundamentally reaction" (Genealogy of Morals 22).
The morality of the strong is precisely the antithesis of this: it justifies itself by reaffirming the strength of itself – they justify their behaviors by
reaffirming their own lives, not by placing their lives in juxtaposition with the lives of the weak. Nietzsche expands this, saying "The opposite is the
case with the aristocratic mode of evaluation: this acts and grows spontaneously, it only seeks out its antithesis in order to affirm itself more thankfully
and more joyfully" (Genealogy 22).
What fascists fail to recognize, however, is that fascism does not transcend the need to fight an opposing force – it does not exist without some
"external stimuli" to which the fascists are always responding. The Jews are constructed as the epitome of this "slave morality"; they are the weak
people subjected by the aristocratically "strong" fascists. But, fascism moralizes in exactly the same way as the Jews do for Nietzsche;

The Crusades: Reactionary Or Preemptive?
Crusades The Crusades began in 1096. They were many military expeditions by Christians to stop the spread of Islam, and regain control of Palestine
(Crusades). The Crusades were not one long fight, but many invasions over the span of almost 200 years (Davis). They had a large impact on most of
Europe. I believe the crusades were both reactionary and preemptive. When Islam began to spread eastward into North Africa and Spain, Christians
began to react. The Turkish Muslims were getting too close for comfort, so Christians decided to go on the defense. They were headed straight for the
Byzantine Empire, and they did not want them to invade. They decided that they needed to stop the spread of Islam and take their lands back (Davis).

They were advancing east, and the Christians believed that it was only a matter of time before the Muslims would try to invade them (Crusades).
This is why I believe that the Crusades were also preemptive. They did not wait unit they were invaded, they acted before that could even happen.
The crusades lasted until 1250. There were seven Crusades conducted in these 200 years. The Crusades failed time and time again. Many of them
were fought for commercial reasons rather than religious ones. Eventually, Europe had, had enough. Very few Christians remained in the region of
their Holy Land (History of the Crusades). There are still tensions between Muslims and Christians today. They still share a mutual Holy Land, and
they have reservations about who should be over it. Christians and Muslims disagree on whether or not the state and religion should be separate or

in an alternative and bigger perspective, and come up with an arguable question в€’ what social purpose do jokes andhumor serve in our society?
O'Hara proposes the positive influences of a good comedy and joke, where they have the potential to create positive social changes in our society.
Professor Greengross, however, believes that jokes such as disparaging humor does not foster discrimination in stereotypical situation, especially when

O'Hara introduced British comic Stephen K Amos to articulate how comics fight social issues such as racisms and homophobia. Comics indirectly
plant a seed in the audience's heart that will draw their attentions towards critical social problems like racism and homophobia by constantly pressing
these issues. According to K Amos, these comedy can achieve a "much more meaningful level than that achieved by briefly lifting someone's
mood"(O'Hara 107). These comedies carry greater purpose, and it unconsciously drive the world to "subvert society's norms"(O'Hara 107). Avner Ziv,
one of O'Hara's guest who has written numerous book about humor, says that "comedy and satire possess a common denominator in that both try to
change or reform society by means of humor. The two forms together constitute the best illustration there is of the social function of
humor"(O'Hara 106). His point of view remarkably resonates with O'Hara's claim. They both believe in the beneficial social change that can be
achieved through the means of humor. In the fields of comedy and social justice, there exists a common area; Josie Long is one of the social activist
comedian who works in such field. Just as how O'Hara introduced her: "She believes that comedians have a role to play in articulating and
challenging some of the most pressing issues of the day"(O'Hara 106). Along with other guests of O'Hara, all of them are in consensus that humor and

Is Football Dangerous?
Is Football Dangerous?
Let's be honest, Most sports or all sports are dangerous, there is no doubt about it, But we've got to be honest Football is probably one of the or Is the
most dangerous sport in the world. And Yes, I know there can other people saying, No! The hardest and toughestsport is hockey or golf. It's a matter of
opinion, but there is no doubt in my mind, that you can't tell me and say, Football isn't a dangerous sport? You're Just being a wimp or whatever.
Being 100% Truthful football has killed athletes or just permanently damaged their bodies or just messed them up mentally. Do I hate football? No, I
think the sport can be so entertaining to watch and you get so into you don't really think about the players, you forget that they can hurt. And if you're
a hardcore sports fan, your reaction will probably be like, "Get up, He didn't hurt you too bad, Just walk it off." And sometimes those people aren't
wrong, sometimes in other sports they get tapped on the shoulder and then they fall on the ground crying like they can't even go with the game but next
3 minutes, they are perfectly fine, without any care, they just get up like nothing even happened. Maybe they are forced to do that, but that's for
another conversation.
Should football be illegal? If it's causing this much trouble to people why is this legal? Like this sport can make their athletes losing their memory by
getting hit again and again. This sport surely cannot be legal right? Well not exactly,

The Right Wing Ideologues Are An Extremely Diverse Group
The right wing ideologues are an extremely diverse group. Within the U.S alone there are libertarians (those who 's believe the government is too large
both economically and socially.), traditionalist, militarists (those who believe that the military is of the ultimate importance to society and think it
should be used more), moderates and many other groups. In international terms the groups that are farthest to the right are known as reactionaries.
Reactionaries are usually set apart from traditionalists in that unlike traditionalist who seek to preserve current traditions, reactionaries actively seek to
restore past traditions. For example, someone who seeks to protect a countries monarchy would be a traditionalist, while someone who... Show more

Most libertarians support a reduction of traditional and religious power while at the same time usually supporting things that will result in a smaller
and less active government such as legalization of drugs, an end to most wars, and a reduction in overall governmental influence and power.
Libertarians are usually unconcerned about the power of corporations and tend to support measures that result in the government having less control
over corporations and the economy. A few libertarians also favor general reductions to entitlement and benefit programs. Moderates are those who
while still clearly on the right wing of politics, tend to be closer to the center in there opinions and more willing to compromise. In general moderates
tend to hold the same beliefs but to a lesser degree. Most forms of militarism are usually found on the right wing of politics. The number of pure
militarists is usually small as most people tend to support other issues in conjunction with militarism, In general any of the above ideologies can have a
militarism added onto it. As with right wing ideologies, left wing ideologies are very diverse. In the United States however, most left wing ideologies

Reactionary Force
Police are often criticized for being a reactionary force, how can that reality and perception be turned around to a proactive force?
Police officers are sworn to protect and serve the community they work for or are assigned to. Furthermore, they go through training to help them
develop the skills needed to accomplish this. The training first begins with the basic police officer's academy, which is approximately four months long,
if going full time. Some police officers choose to attend the police officer's academy at night, which could take up to eight months. Once the officers
have completed the academy, they are required to continue training so that they can maintain their police officer's license. Within this training, police
officers are taught to react to crimes that occur after the fact. For instance, police officers are trained on how to react and handle situations regarding
family violence, theft of property, burglary of motor vehicle, sexual assault, and many other intense situations. When an entire police department is
trained to be a reactionary force, the community sees the police ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the police until they need the police." These units will base their patrol needs on statistics of crime rate in the area and the calls for service in that area.
The down side to this is that the units will only target these areas after they have been criminalized by offenders, which is by definition a reactionary
force. Unfortunately, these units, among others, have been criticized because they focus on preventing crimes prior to them occurring. In fact, the

Reactionary Policies
How successful were the reactionary policies of Tsar Alexander III?
Tsar Alexander's reign (1881–1894) has been known as a period of extreme repression. He turned his back on reform all together and instituted a
series of predictable repressive measures that collectively known as "The Reaction". There were numerous reactionary policies brought in by the new
and unexpected Tsar, one of which was known as Russification. This particular policy was brought in in 1881 at the very beginning of the Tsar's reign,
it has three main aims: repression of opponents; undoing the liberal reforms of his father and restoring Russia's position internationally alongside her
national identity which he believed had been diluted in the nineteenth century. As... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In theory, this policy was introduced to unify all the "Non–Russians" and make them feel Russian, all it did, however, was make them feel alienated.
Despite in the short term giving the autocracy greater dominance, which could be consider as one of the few successes of Russification, it weakened
social cohesion.
As a result of the new extreme laws, social cohesion between Russians and Non–Russians had been damaged further. Minority groups made up the bulk
of extremist groups demonstrating the long term unsuccessfulness of the policy. Radicals like communists, fled abroad but continued anti–Tsarism
campaigns and although this wasn't a particularly well planned tactic, it did showcase their underlying hatred towards the Tsar.
Another aim of Russification that the new Tsar wanted to achieve was to undo the liberal reforms of Alexander II and reinforce the Tsar's absolute
power. This may have been done out of fear of being assassinated like the previous Tsar. It may have been due to the fact that his main advisor,
Pobedonostev, was a conservative reactionary and so his ideas made a great impression on Alexander III. In 1881, he introduced the Statute of State
Security and set up Government courts and ended trial by jury, alexander got rid of liberal ministers such as MT Loris–Melikov due to his
conservative upbringing. He also enforced a law in 1884 that made all universities under state control which also meant that all education could be

The Political Spectrum Analysis
The political spectrum is based off of a number line called a continuum that has five categories in which people may identify themselves as. The two
most contributing factors to identifying where you stand is the amount of change that you are willing to experience within society and how much
government involvement you would like to take place. On the far left are the Radicals. If someone labels themself as a radical due to being on the
farthest left hand side of the political spectrum they would want rapid change. They may even act out violently to get their point across. Next working
toward the right hand side are the Liberals. The political party of the Liberals is the Democratic party. Being labeled as a Liberal means you tend to

Comparing Communism And Reactionary Socialism
The distinction between reactionary socialism, conservative socialism, and critical–utopian socialism ranges from many different ideas. They consist
of; the reactionary socialists who disagree with new and modern ways of running the government, the conservative socialists who lack the ability to
see the hostility of social classes towards one another and believe that opportunities such as minimum wage and food stamps are a way to keep the
working class in place, and the critical–utopian socialists who form a unrealistic vision of freeing the proletariat class by creating new laws and
standards with no plan of action. Socialism is both similar and different when compared to communism. This is due to socialism's means of productions
being owned by the public while communism's means of production is owned by the government. Socialism and communism are similar in the way
that they both focus on equality between the social classes. The factors that help keep capitalism intact but hurt communism include population growth,

Affirmative Action Process Analysis
Introduction
Affirmative action procedures are those in which institutions becoming involved in measures to improve opportunities for ancient excluded groups in
the American community. Most of these procedures focus on education and employment. In business, affirmative actions can be used to refer to
policies which provide opportunities for minority groups in the community such as women and the youth (Fisal et al., 2018). This concept is an
outcome of the Civil Rights Movement in the twentieth century, who had the intention of creating equal opportunities for individuals in the minority

President Kennedy was the originator to utilize the phrase affirmative action to direct employers to take affirmative action to ensure that applicants

The Role Of Deception In Macbeth

  • 1. The Role Of Deception In Macbeth Is he telling the truth? The answer could lie in his eyes. Shakespeare's Macbeth is a tragic play filled with deceit and deception. However, an understanding of body language, speech patterns, and even reactionary emotions would have revealed the title character's true malice. The traditional proverb, the eyes are the window to the soul, is correct in its assertion that dishonesty can be detected through speech and the physical movements of the body. Macbeth, though inexperienced at the beginning of the play, becomes adept at lying by the end. Although it may be true, methods exist to tell when he is untruthful. According to the FBI in "The Truth About Lying: What Investigators Need to Know", concealment and gross falsification are the two most common forms of lying. After Macbeth murders Duncan, he admits to killing the guards outside his chambers. Doing so conceals his involvement in the more damning crime. He additionally falsifies events in order to pin the murder on the dead guards, who can conveniently no longer contradict him. The sheer amount of over explanation for his actions and whereabouts, points towards Macbeth lying. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In reality, even more speech patterns besides over explanation can incriminate a liar. For instance, repetition. The dinner party, in which Macbeth mourns the lack of Banquo's presence to his guests, contains dialogue where he excessively repeats the word all. Reiteration is a tell someone is lying. Consequently, Macbeth is deceitful while addressing his guests because he contracted Banquo's murder. One can falsify words, but it is much more difficult to fake how often phrases are repeated. Therefore, speech patterns are an effective method to detect attempted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The Leo Frank Case Reconsidered: Reactionary Populism In the article "The Leo Frank Case Reconsidered: Gender and Sexual Politics in the Making of Reactionary Populism", author Nancy MacLean focused on one of the most famous and controversial court cases in American history. The Leo Frank Case involved a Jewish pencil factory manager named Leo Frank who was charged, convicted, and eventually hanged by anti–Semitics for the crime of killing and raping a 13–year–old employee named Mary Phagan. During the case, despite feelings of resentment of the urban elites by the working class, and the use of anti–Semitism as justification by Frank's enemies for his guilt, one of the biggest themes MacLean points to was gender. Throughout the article, MacLean showed various ways in which gender played a pivotal role. One example of how MacLean showed how gender was a major theme in the case was by paternalism. With many women leaving home and becoming employees, many fathers who had control over... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason is because anti–Semitism and class played just as much of a role in the court case. As mentioned earlier, the urban elites who had maintained control of Georgia, were hated by the working class whites. Leo Frank was apart of the urban elite, and to make matters worse was the fact that he was also Jewish. Jews were stereotyped by anti–Semitics as dirty money stealers and takers of gentile women. With both his status in the elite as a business manager as well as his race, the odds were stacked highly against Leo Frank, despite his guilt. Even if he was innocent, he still would have probably been hanged due to his race and his elite status. Regardless of this fact, I think this article is a fantastic read for anybody who wishes to learn more about the case. I would highly recommend ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Reactionary Essay To If Aristotle Ran General Motors, By... Introduction In the book, If Aristotle Ran General Motors, Tom Morris argues that the teachings of the ancients can and should be applied to today's corporation. His message is that the four virtues – truth, beauty, goodness, and unity – form the foundation of human excellence. Putting them into practice leads not only to self–fulfillment, but ultimately to an open, nurturing, and ethical workplace that is more productive and successful in the long–term. The purpose of this essay is to examine how Morris treats the system of ethics in relation to these four virtues. Ethics and Big Business It's difficult not to be cynical about how "big business" treats the subject of ethics in today's world. In many corporations, where the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, after reading further, I concluded that Morris' statement has a great deal of merit. He infers that this type of query is actually involved with "self–interest, which is not the same thing as selfishness" (Morris p. 117). Asking this type of question can really mean that we are looking at the effect something might have on our immediate or long–term personal fulfillment, financial security, etc. Doing the right thing is not always going to affect us in some positive way immediately. In fact, we could suffer short–term negative effects by electing to do the right thing. But the long–term benefits to our personal fulfillment will nearly always be positive, because doing the right thing brings blessings from the Lord. God honors right living. Exhibiting spiritual health by behaving morally and ethically in all our dealings (both personal and in business), injects harmony into our lives. Morris believes that harmony is at the heart of ethics. Spiritually healthy people create socially harmonious relationships just by the very act of doing the right thing. My grandmother taught me that "there is no excuse for bad manners," and I have taken this little piece of wisdom with me throughout life. People in today's world seem to have thrown away manners and have forgotten that common decency, basic kindness, concern, respect and courtesy can not only open doors of opportunity, it literally defines their ... • 4. The Soviet Revolution Of Russia Like the swing of a pendulum, the Tsars of Russia would fluctuate between reforming the government and becoming reactionary to the situations in the land. The Russian Tsars/Tsarinas, considered themselves the father or mother of the entire land and it was a very big land. Russian history had been prone to revolutions. Many a Tsar found himself on the short end of a sword or just the right amount of poison in his drink. All of the monarchs of Russia had this history in their minds when they began to rule but as the parent of their nation, they had no choice but to rule and do the best they could. Revolution was part of Russian life. There had been uprisings and revolutions throughout its history. The 18th and 19th centuries saw a big push toward "Westernizing" the country but as long as there were serfs; Russia could never truly be Western. The serfs were the biggest dilemma that the Tsars faced. The happiness of a people can gauge whether a ruler stays in power or not. The majority of Russians were serf peasants, dependent on their overlords for their bread and board. Their overlord was dependent on the serfs, the Tsar dependent on the nobles for their devotion and taxes. Catherine the Great, the Tsarina of Russia from 1762 to 1796 was considered an "enlightened despot". She was a student of the Enlightenment and ruled Russia with absolute devotion. Catherine was a patron of the arts, education and reform. She believed in the Enlightenment movement but the serfs during ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Watching the Solution to the Jewish Question from Afar If you lived in the time of the Holocaust and you were a non–Jewish person, would you want to take the chance of fighting back and having the consequences of your actions affect the lives of your family? Or would you just "go with the flow" and stand back as the Jewish people were punished? This is a question that people in this time had to ask themselves. Some decided to take the chance and fight back, but many did not. Most people, who had families to think about, chose to stand back from what was happening. Honestly, the non–Jewish people who chose to stand back had every right to make this decision for themselves and their families. Although the decision that was made by these people can be explained, some may not see it that way. Some may see it that the people who chose to stand back were simply being weak or that they were immoral. They could've fought back if they wanted to, but they chose otherwise. They chose what could be looked at as the, "easy way out". Another side to this could be that not everyone had a family to think about, and those who did have a family could have acted in a way that didn't get them involved. They should've thought that maybe if they spoke out then other people would be more willing to stand up for what was right. If the thought that one person can't make a change crossed their mind then they should've tried to get more people together to fight back; they should've tried to take a stand. Even though this is all true, the non–Jewish people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Martin Luther And The Protestant Reformation Over the course of history, there have been many of times where people have tried to fix things that were wrong by going back to what it once was. These people were for the people and wanted all of their ideas and actions to benefit all of mankind. A prime example of a person to fix by amendment is Martin Luther. In the early 15th century, theCatholic Church was under siege from criticism based off of corruptions and Catholic wrongdoings; this time in history was known as the Protestant Reformation. The main catalyst in this revolution was none other than Martin Luther. Although Martin Luther sparked rebellion and a revolution, he , himself, was a reactionary reformer in how he wanted to restore the church into what it once was. Martin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another key detail is when Cardinal Cajetan also said that the bible is not for everyday people and that the Pope's interpretation is what is in God's favor. The Cardinal's argument, although is accepted, should not be and it goes strictly against God's will for humanity and the Christian religion. The scriptures were created by God in order for all to read and have their own interpretation on it. Luther believed in giving the common man the scriptures and leaving the word of God up to interpretation to whoever reads from them, which shows he wants to go back to where the people could read the word of God. Luther viewed all people as their own priests, as they journey through scriptures forming interpretations on their own conscience. The Cardinal only strengthens Luther's point in that the catholic church is corrupt and Luther is trying to turn back time and relive the true days of Christianity. Also showing Luther was a reactionary, Luther did not want to let the church take away the freedoms of christians that were clearly stated in scriptures. Luther stated that he would not recant his ideas and works unless he could be proven wrong by the word of God alone, not by the Pope and other religious authorities. Many church officials openly admitted that most of his works are from scripture and by recanting these works, Luther would be recanting the word of God through the scriptures themselves. Teacher Committed Suicide In 1966, the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (referred to as the Cultural Revolution) officially kicked off, as an avalanche, overcome with an irresistible force, and as fierce floods and savage beasts –– great scourges came toward the campus. I was studying in the ancient city medial school at the time. The school was located in the east part of the East Street (originally, Ren Wei concept monastery, a Taoist temple), a historic juniorhigh school. From the very beginningпјЊthe Cultural Revolution was outset with vigor and vitality, unstoppable. Commented on "Hai Rui Dismissed from Office" which was a drama told the story about an upright, incorruptible good ancient official; criticized "Three Villagers" (Wu Han, Deng Tuo, Liao Mosa, three famous writers and government officers), pulled out reactionary gangs, the campaign was coming one after one immediately. Lu Changxin dedicated himself to education, lifetime depended on educational mission, assiduously. How a spineless, cowardly, modest and courteous, respectful scholar could suffer such injustice and insulting? He was devastated, determined to die fighting. • 8. The Wretched Of The Earth By Franz Fanon Fanon One issue of Freud's psychoanalytic theories and the psychosexual stages is exposed through examining Frantz Fanon. During the 1950's Fanon found residency in France and wrote about the impact of colonialism subjugation of blacks. The focus was on the negative psychological effects brought out by the trauma of the events. Loss of personal identity, reactionary psychoses and defense mechanisms were all brought up related to the war involving the algerians. An interesting conclusion from Fanon is that there are mental defenses to protect a person from mental disorders such as Case No.1's wife. Its implied that simple differences, such as knowing the information a person is being tortured for, can greatly impact whether or not they acquire... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Freud believed the libido to be of crucial importance in personality, but he maintained that other impulses, particularly aggression, also play significant shaping roles" (Lilienfeld, 2013). This compliments Fanon's findings within The Wretched Of The Earth. Rape, and by nature sexuality, were used as tools of aggression. Although linked in use as a means of torture, both for the captive and those surrounding the victim's, credit must be given to Freud's theory for correctly identifying sexuality and aggression as different traits. Unfortunately Trait theory, from Freud's perspective, still relies heavily on genetic predisposition. The divergence from sexuality and aggression comes in the form of survivability. It's a reactionary response to protect and survive that likely developed from our descendants. The largest flaw with the theory of aggression is that the id is claimed to operate on the pleasure principle and immediate gratification. This reconnects aggression and sexuality in circumstances such as Fanon described. There is gratification in domination by this assumption. Relating this to the story of Oedipus it could be viewed that killing his Father and laying with his Mother are the same action in personality development. The mutual suppression of aggression and sexuality are necessary in continuing a child's development beyond the Phallic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Theme Of Life In The Stranger By Albert Camus In the book, The Stranger by Albert Camus, it is about a man who instead, has a very, down and depressing look on life. The book first starts out with the death of the main character, Meursault's mother. Then the author takes us on a crazy ride through Meursault's lonely and depressing life. Throughout this book, there are many possible themes, like the reaction to violence or death, guilt and remorse, meaninglessness and hopelessness and many more possibilities, but the theme that stands out the most in this book is the theme of meaninglessness and hopelessness and how Meursault believes that nothing means anything and that there is no hope for anyone because we all have the same ending and it doesn't matter what you do until that day. The way that the author conveys this theme is through tone, characterization, and Meursault's reactions to the events that took place in the book. The author uses tone to help convey the theme of meaninglessness and hopelessness because he creates areas in the book that has more depressing, and dark tones, which helps the readers to understand what is going on in the main character's head and what they are feeling. An example of this is towards the end of the book when Meursault thinks "Nothing, nothing mattered, and I knew why. So did he. Throughout my whole life I'd lived, a dark wind had been rising toward me from somewhere deep in my future, across years that were still to come, and as it passed, this wind leveled whatever was ... In response to the injustices they face, using their national fame, the athletes are raising awareness by taking a knee during the National Anthem, in an attempt to peacefully protest. Humana Vitae: Destroying The Nature Of Sex Sexual relationships have evolved over the centuries to create the current culture in which sex is a commodity to be sold, traded, and exploited out of human carnal desire. This evolution was effected by numerous factors ranging from the Pill to biological understanding to individualistic tendencies. As the place of sex changed in society the Church defined doctrinal principles, tried to remain relevant in the world, and sought to uphold the unitive and sacramental nature of sex. Through councils and papal encyclicals the Church combatted the past and future factors and situations which added fuel to the flame that was destroying the nature of sexual relations. Humana vitae announces the fact that if contraceptives are continued to be used society will be negatively affected. Four trends that Paul VI foreshadows in a society with widespread use of contraceptives include "a general lowering of moral standards throughout society; a rise in infidelity; a lessening of respect for women by men; and the coercive use of reproductive technologies by governments" (II). The way in which Paul VI astutely deducts these future trends is based in the Church's understanding of love, morality, sex, and God's design. Through such deduction Paul VI accurately foretells of the harms that have plagued the world since the induction of contraceptives. As Mary Eberstadt points out the evidence that contraceptives and the sexual revolution have greatly impacted all areas of life including family, children, opposite sex relationships, personal flourishing (II, III). Other areas that have been impacted by contraceptives and reflect Paul VI's prophetic words include heightened and harsh feminism, arguing between the lesser of two evils (overpopulation or birth control), giving rise to the modern gay–rights movement, and governmental control of citizens' reproduction rights, (III–V). Eberstadt argues the same point as this paper, that Paul VI's words in Humana vitae were in fact prophetic because all the consequences and more which he stated are effecting society and show that while the Pill "was supposed to erase all consequences of sex once and for all, turned out to have huge consequences of its own" (Eberstadt, ... The existence of revolutionaries is predicated on reactionaries' resistance to change. In history, there are documented examples of revolutionaries and reactionaries, which were the result of the call for political, religious, or social change. The Civil War, The Civil Rights Movement, and most recently The Black Lives Matter Movement are all examples of events that have demanded dramatic and comprehensive change. Conservative, customary, and dogmatic are how society describes reactionaries. They are typically the majority group and people in power who view progression as a threat to a particular way of life. They hold traditional values and have a cynical view towards change that looks back in time, versus forward. Unlike revolutionaries, reactionaries would like life to revert and restore a former way of life. Reactionaries tend to downplay the emerging beliefs of the minority groups, or revolutionaries, to keep steadiness and order. Socially, reactionaries believe change happens when the majority makes the decision to do so. Reactionaries tend to separate themselves from those with opposing and more liberal viewpoints. There are absolute differences between revolutionaries and reactionaries. Fundamentally, they sometimes sit on opposite ends of the spectrum and are motivated by different sources. Fascism, Nietzsche, Power Fascism, Nietzsche, Power Nietzsche's writing about power dynamics and the creation of the "strong" and "weak," the "good" and the "bad," is very closely intertwined with the workings of fascist ideology, and how it understands itself to be "strong." In a Nietzschean sense, however, fascism ultimately fails to be truly "strong" because it creates itself as a reformed moralistic approach to power, rather than freeing itself from moralism. More specifically, the construction of the Jews as "weak" by those who subscribe to fascist ideology, and the portrayal of themselves as "strong,"is almost wholly antithetical Nietzsche's actual position concerning power dynamics. Nietzsche explains this struggle as a "slave morality," which can only survive if it has a force that acts against it so its existence is justified; the role of opposition to the slave morality is occupied by the "strong." He writes "In order to exist at all, slave morality from the outset always needs an opposing, outer world; in physiological terms, it needs external stimuli in order to act–its action is fundamentally reaction" (Genealogy of Morals 22). The morality of the strong is precisely the antithesis of this: it justifies itself by reaffirming the strength of itself – they justify their behaviors by reaffirming their own lives, not by placing their lives in juxtaposition with the lives of the weak. Nietzsche expands this, saying "The opposite is the case with the aristocratic mode of evaluation: this acts and grows spontaneously, it only seeks out its antithesis in order to affirm itself more thankfully and more joyfully" (Genealogy 22). What fascists fail to recognize, however, is that fascism does not transcend the need to fight an opposing force – it does not exist without some "external stimuli" to which the fascists are always responding. The Jews are constructed as the epitome of this "slave morality"; they are the weak people subjected by the aristocratically "strong" fascists. But the long–term benefits to our personal fulfillment will nearly always be positive, because doing the right thing brings blessings from the Lord. God honors right living. The Directory suppressed the riots but the increasing royalist feelings and general distrust began to foreshadow more revolts. • 31. The Political Spectrum Analysis The political spectrum is based off of a number line called a continuum that has five categories in which people may identify themselves as. The two most contributing factors to identifying where you stand is the amount of change that you are willing to experience within society and how much government involvement you would like to take place. They may even act out violently to get their point across. Next working toward the right hand side are the Liberals. The political party of the Liberals is the Democratic party.
