 Teaching approach: This lesson plan is based on the PPP approach.
 Materials and resources: One video to watch on the teacher´s personal
computer. A set of cards to the Memory Game in Activity 1. One set of domino
cards to Activity 2.
 Pedagogical use of ICT in class: In this lesson, one video will be used to
support the presentation and exposure of the students to the teaching point.
Activities that are organized through the combination of audio and video
(audiovisual material) enhance language learning and acquisition.
 Seating arrangement: Students will be sitting in a desk since they are
only two, in this way they will have visual contact and interaction.
 Cooperative work: learners of this age are in the parallel play stage,
which means they can play and work together.
 Possible problems / difficulties and their possible solutions during
the class: Children may get too excited during the whole class, since they are in
a rural school and unfortunately they are not used to watching videos (many of
the people in the town do not have TV, and people who have it only see one
channel, it is a great event for them to watch videos). Also, they can feel too
excited with the games since they love to play with all the objects around them.
In that case, I’ll remind them we should be careful with the resources used and
be able to perform all the activities. In order to they get quiet: I´ll say Silence,
please!
 Potential problems students may have with the language: They may
not understand the activities instructions. I’ll guide them by pointing and
miming the different activities and modeling the answer first.
WARM UP (5 minutes)
Purpose: to practise the previous topic and evaluate students´ previous learning.
I will ask students if they know some numbers.
- Do you know the numbers? Which ones? One, two, very good boys, ten.
- Which numbers are they? (I will point at students´ fingers)
PRESENTATION (10 minutes)
Purpose: to further expose the learners to the target language, to foster
comprehension.
Students will watch a video about numbers from 1 to 10. The video´s link is below:

While they watch the video I will ask them to point at their own fingers and count.
Then, I will ask them the numbers (which numbers they remember from the video)
DEVELOPMENT (25 minutes)
Activity 1 (15 minutes)
Purpose: to identify the topic vocabulary.
I will give students a memory game, as they do not know the spelling of numbers´
words, the game will have only numbers. They will have to pick a card, look the
number and say it in English.
- Pay attention boys, remember the numbers? One, two, three… Look for a number and
say it, OK?

Activity 2 (10 minutes)
Purpose: to identify and practise the topic vocabulary and also the colors (They
learned the colors mentioned below in previous classes)
Students will play a domino, on one side each card will have the number (1-2-3-4…)
and on the other side they will have the quantity represented as in the example below:
Students will match the number with the quantity represented.
- Look here boys, what´s the name of this game?
- Yes Enrique, it´s a domino, do you know how to play? You have to match the number
with the quantity; I will do the first movement.
(Maybe will be the first time they will see a domino, so I will help them in order to
achieve the aim of the activity)
CLOSURE (10 minutes)
Purpose: incorporate previous knowledge
Students will draw 5 sets of images:
- Four yellow stars
- Two orange circles
- Five blue squares
- Eight purple triangles
- One red heart
- Last activity boys! You have to draw and color what I say OK? For example one blue circle,
did you understand?

  • 2.  Aims or goals:  During this lesson, learners will be able to…  Identify and name different body parts.  Incorporate their previous knowledge of colors.  Develop their listening skills by listening to a video song. Teaching points: - language focus: LEXIS FUNCTION STRUCTURE PRONUNCIATION REVISION - Colors (Red, blue, yellow, green, pink, orange, brown, purple) - Shapes (Square, circle, triangle, rectangle, star, heart, diamond) Giving commands or instructions Identify shapes What color is it? What is it? /red/ /ˈjeləʊ/ /bluː/ /pɪŋk/ /ˈɒr ɪndʒ/ /stɑːr/ /ˈdaɪ‿əm ənd/ /ˈtraɪ æŋ ɡəl/ /ˈrek tæŋ ɡəl/ NEW Numbers (1-10) Identify numbers What number is it? /faɪv/ /naɪn/ /wʌn/
  • 3.  Teaching approach: This lesson plan is based on the PPP approach.  Materials and resources: One video to watch on the teacher´s personal computer. A set of cards to the Memory Game in Activity 1. One set of domino cards to Activity 2.  Pedagogical use of ICT in class: In this lesson, one video will be used to support the presentation and exposure of the students to the teaching point. Activities that are organized through the combination of audio and video (audiovisual material) enhance language learning and acquisition.  Seating arrangement: Students will be sitting in a desk since they are only two, in this way they will have visual contact and interaction.  Cooperative work: learners of this age are in the parallel play stage, which means they can play and work together.  Possible problems / difficulties and their possible solutions during the class: Children may get too excited during the whole class, since they are in a rural school and unfortunately they are not used to watching videos (many of the people in the town do not have TV, and people who have it only see one channel, it is a great event for them to watch videos). Also, they can feel too excited with the games since they love to play with all the objects around them. In that case, I’ll remind them we should be careful with the resources used and be able to perform all the activities. In order to they get quiet: I´ll say Silence, please!  Potential problems students may have with the language: They may not understand the activities instructions. I’ll guide them by pointing and miming the different activities and modeling the answer first. WARM UP (5 minutes) Purpose: to practise the previous topic and evaluate students´ previous learning. I will ask students if they know some numbers. - Do you know the numbers? Which ones? One, two, very good boys, ten. - Which numbers are they? (I will point at students´ fingers)
  • 4. PRESENTATION (10 minutes) Purpose: to further expose the learners to the target language, to foster comprehension. Students will watch a video about numbers from 1 to 10. The video´s link is below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt8GFgxlITs While they watch the video I will ask them to point at their own fingers and count. Then, I will ask them the numbers (which numbers they remember from the video) DEVELOPMENT (25 minutes) Activity 1 (15 minutes) Purpose: to identify the topic vocabulary. I will give students a memory game, as they do not know the spelling of numbers´ words, the game will have only numbers. They will have to pick a card, look the number and say it in English. - Pay attention boys, remember the numbers? One, two, three… Look for a number and say it, OK? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 109

Activity 2 (10 minutes) Purpose: to identify and practise the topic vocabulary and also the colors (They learned the colors mentioned below in previous classes) Students will play a domino, on one side each card will have the number (1-2-3-4…) and on the other side they will have the quantity represented as in the example below: Students will match the number with the quantity represented. - Look here boys, what´s the name of this game? - Yes Enrique, it´s a domino, do you know how to play? You have to match the number with the quantity; I will do the first movement. (Maybe will be the first time they will see a domino, so I will help them in order to achieve the aim of the activity) CLOSURE (10 minutes) Purpose: incorporate previous knowledge Students will draw 5 sets of images: - Four yellow stars - Two orange circles - Five blue squares - Eight purple triangles - One red heart - Last activity boys! You have to draw and color what I say OK? For example one blue circle, did you understand? 5 2
