1. For my double page spread, I wanted
one side that was a main image and the
other containing the interview and other
information. I used this image from my
photo shoot which contains both of my
female model’s. I did this to show that
they were a music duo and I really like
this shot as it looks very stylish and cool.
However the image needed to be altered
as the lighting wasn’t very good.
2. This is what my image looks like after I
altered it. I again used the tools that
photo shop provided and the image looks
slightly pink, I do not mind this as my
colour scheme throughout my magazine
is mainly pink so this fits in really well.
3. By using the tools proved on the left
hand side of the screen, I was able to
create a grey background on the other
side of the page so that the reader
would be able to see the words from the
interview that will be placed there later.
The little image that is placed there
already is going to be used as a album
cover for the duo as that is what a real
magazine would do, they would promote
a bands album so other people would
consider buying it .
4. For the double page spread, I have
included a title for the article. This would
give the reader a basic idea of what this
article would be about. Again keeping with
the colour scheme of my magazine the
writing is in pink. As you can see I have
already begun writing my article about my
two model’s, for this I have decided to use
a black colour writing for the interviewer
and an pink colour writing for the
interviewee, I also included the first letter
of their name to make it simpler for the
reader to follow.
5. On my main image I have written a main
sentence that Hazel has said. I have seen
this type of thing that other magazines
have done, this shows what the person is
like as a whole and what there attitude
towards the interview is like. I have also
added another image of my two model’s in
the same location as my main image but
they have switched their position, I have
placed a pink boarder around the image to
make it stand out a bit more.
6. I have added more information and detail to
the article that I have written for my double
page spread. This will show more insight on
Netti and Hazel and what they are like. I
have also included another key sentence for
Netti as I want to show what their
relationship is summed up in two different
sentences. As well as a interview, I
have made a small paragraph about the two
girls history.
7. For this slide I only made small augments. I
have created a pink banner that goes across
the top of the page, I have included another
small mid –shot image of my two model’s on
the left hand side of the second page and to
separated the information, I included two
pink bars. I have done this because I have
created a small information segment about
the fake album that they have realised, I also
included a small fake give away of tickets to
their concert, in which to enter the reader
needed to use a twitter account. This further
shoes that my magazine is more modernised.
8. The final touch’s that I have made to my
double page spread are that my article is
complete, I have placed the duo’s name on
the top left hand side of the page, this is so
the reader can identify the page of which
the article about the band is on, I also
placed the magazines name on the right
hand side of the page, I have placed the
magazines website at the bottom of the
main image so that readers can access the
magazine online and finally I added the
correct page numbers at the bottom of the
page. Overall I really like the outcome of
my double page spread as I think it looks
professional and I’m really proud of it.
