1. Q5. How do you attract/address your audience?
In my magazine I have used a lot of direct address so it draws the audience in by
making them feel like the person or band featured is looking directly at them. By
using a bold red, white and black colour scheme I have made it more obvious to
the audience that it is a rock magazine because I conducted research before I
started to produce my magazine and the majority of people said the three colours
they would associate with rock are the ones I have used, addressing it to an
audience interested in rock. The people who I have used in my magazine are fairly
young so I would expect this to address a younger audience but there are
elements of my magazine that appeal to an older audience for example some of
the feature content and regulars like I have a Dave Grohl feature about Kurt
Cobain both of whom are from before a young audience’s era so it would attract
an older audience.
