How does your media
product represent particular
social groups?
I feel my product represents the social
group of young teenage girls. I feel I did this
by sticking to stereotypes. In used a lot of
pink and white and have featured artists
and singers who are very popular in the
pop music industry at the moment.
My cover page, targets young
girls, by the use of colour and
imagery. I have used pink,
based around the stereotype of
girls and have also used key
artists such as One Direction
and 5 Seconds Of Summer. I
also have used the
advertisement of free posters
and competitions as my
audience can’t afford concert
tickets so seeing this will draw
them in. With my picture I used
inspiration from other photos of
Taylor Swift, these are on my
blog.
My contents page and double
page spread , I feel is very
stereotypically aimed for my
audience. I have used lots of
pink again, and have used lots
of imagery. I feel this targets my
audience of the social group of
young girls.
I chose to shoot this picture because I felt that
having my model smiling and looking happy
would draw my reader in more. Especially as
my article is about her new album and
Grammy success, so obviously she would be
happy and cheerful.
